Well, that was a lackluster finale.

The best thing about it was Tara's haircut.  Rutina looked fucking amazing at the end of the episode.  It's amazing how luminous Tara can be when they let Rutina smile.  Honestly, I want Tara to get as far away from Bon Temps as possible.  That place is a shit hole full of crazies.

Bill and Sophie Anne's Crouching Vampire meets the Matrix face-off at the end was ridiculous.  The only positive note was that Sophie Ann's outfit was wonderful.  Also, Bill needs to meet the pointy end of a stake NOW!

Eric covered in concrete was a hilarious visual.  I cracked up at him constantly picking at his hair.  And I liked that Pam was able to handle her shit.  I don't even know what all that Godric hallucination bullshit was though. 0_o

This Sam storyline ... what was that?  I don't even ...

Annnnnnnd ... I've stopped caring about what I saw to point where I can't type about it even more.

I basically agree with everything you just said there. God, the finale pissed me off so bad. Ugh.

Spoiler cut? I know it's a personal journal and it's already in small text but still, there's people like me that would rather not see this on our flists yet.

I was really underwhelmed as well. Honestly, Pam and Pam/Eric are all that I'm really watching for anymore...I used to like Jessica and J/H but now I'm more indifferent. I wasn't even sure I'd bother with the next season but I hear Pam might get a girlfriend next season.

It was just so boring. It felt like a mid-season filler episode, not a finale. When I realized that Sookie being spirited away to Fairy Land was the end, I was like "Really? That's what is supposed to get me to tune in next year?"

It was a big, boring 'meh'.

Apologies.

Yeah, it was really underwhelming. Pam and/or Pam and Eric really are the best things about it (and I wasn't even big on Eric at the beginning of the season, but he's become a better part of the show for me now). I too used to like J/H, but I found them really boring this year. The spark they used to have, sadly was missing this time around.

I know I'll tune in next season, I don't have the willpower to stay away, but I hope it's better than this. And if Pam does get a girlfriend I hope it's handled better than the other relationships on this show, because whether they are platonic or romantic - other than Pam/Eric - the relationships on this show are a hot mess, really poorly developed and maintained.

Ugh one big THIS.

In fact the whole season was pretty much lackluster. Every time I thought an episode was leading to something good, the next episode would come out flat.

OMG I am so pissed at myself for sticking with the show this season. It was boring beyond belief. I watched True Blood like some people watch football: yelling at my screen and throwing stuff at it. MY GOD!

Also, Sookie was oddly cold in shoving Talbot's remains into a garburator.

Cold? Try crazy. Her evil little laugh had me cackling in my seat from the utter ridiculousness of the moment. It was almost as hammy as Russel tearing apart the newscaster on live television.

The only good thing about this season is that it was soo universally panned TPTB might actually listen and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! Season three made me wish for the 'salad days' of Maryanne. My complaints about season three -

I was promised more Pam and I got.. Jason, Crystal, that boring ass shit with the high school quarterback, all ending with Jason being in charge of a group of people dumber than he is.

I was promised more Pam and I got.. Sam and his boring ass family. Oh, and *another* retconning of Sam's past that was way to reminiscent of Sawyer's on Lost.

I was promised more Pam and I got.. the adventures of Arlene and her demon baby. Seriously, who the fuck was crying out for more ARLENE SCREENTIME!?!

I was promised more Pam and I got.. MORE KICK THE TARA. I swear, if I hear one more person talk about how awesome Franklin was, I might actually hurt something. No, really, you mean Franklin THE RAPIST was so totally awesome. I can only hope that next season, it means the torturing of Tara is over.

As much as I love Jessica and Hoyt (well, mostly Jessica), their storyline this year was just a retread of last year. Which, you know, I ALREADY WATCHED.

The problem with this season, aside from the lack of Pam, was too many characters all alone on their little story island with nothing connecting them to the greater canvas. It's hard to believe the season is actually over because so much of this season felt like nothing but filler, and boring ass filler at that!

This season wasn't that good, especially the second half (maybe the first half too and I just don't remember...).

I think so.

This .gif is perfection. It totally encapsulates how I felt about the season as well. I was so happy when it started, and then ... *sigh*

Yeah, I started out super excited and as the season went on it just got so damn boring. I started going days before I would watch the new episodes. I just really watched the finale because I'd already invested so much time in the show. I was like, why quit so close to the end? but there was no real desire or joy to be had.

This so perfectly covers like EVERYTHING that was wrong with this season. The show DIDN'T GIVE US ANYMORE PAM and then they slowly destroyed everything else that had been previously enjoyable about the show. I'm now like ...

I'm honestly not going to be anticipating next season at all.

The suck of the second half of the season has totally eclipsed any like I might have had for the start of it. I can't even remember the start of the season now really, and lord knows I'm not gonna go back and rewatch knowing how boring it all turned out.

I can't remember being so underwhelmed by a show so quickly.

At least I'm not alone in thinking it sucked buttered elephant nuts. Really, I don't think anyone has truly enjoyed the last half of the season.

This was my most anticipated show of the summer season and now isn't even on my watch list last year.

I know. I honestly don't give a shit about the show next season. No feelings of anticipation whatsoever.

Also, Sookie was oddly cold in shoving Talbot's remains into a garburator.

That scene? I don't even know. I was into it for a while, but when the scene abruptly ended on Sookie's manacle laughter I just about died of secondhand embarrassment. It was just all so awful.

And Bill ... *throws hands up in the air* Honestly, after Bill tried to have Pam killed he was dead to me. I'm officially through with the character.
