The series is definitely still worth watching. Despite my melodramatic bolding there was really nothing terribly depressing about the episode. It was a really fun, very entertaining episode that introduced a great new character.
Apparently, Zoie Palmer has been confirmed for Season 2 so I don't think Lauren's going anywhere, and even though Bo and Lauren are on bad terms this episode (mostly due to Bo's immaturity), Bo's continued anger seems to indicate that she cared strongly for Lauren and still does which is why she's being such a punk.
I know as femslashers we've been programmed to be disappointed by TV, but I wouldn't write this show off. The storyline might not be perfect, but its a canon F/F relationship on a genre show that has been going on since the first episode and seems likely to continue for a while, which makes it pretty much the only story of its kind on air right now (that I know of at least).
I would be all over that Dr. Hot Pants spin-off though. Especially if Saskia became her BFF/partner in crime.
