SRSLY U GUISE, U GUISE SRSLY, THIS EPISODE WAS LEGITIMATELY GOOD!

Dear Lost Girl,
Can Michelle Lovretta please write every episode from now on?
Sincerely,
Everyone

Cause, I though it completely jargogles me ... I like Bo again.  Before this episode whenever I thought of Bo I just wanted to punch her in the face part of her face ... really hard.  But by the end of this episode I liked her, and kind of maybe respect her a bit.  I still think she's dumb as shit most of the time sometimes, and she's definitely still got that 'willful blindness to the truth/willful disregard for common sense' thing going on, but at least it was in a positive sorta way this time.  I don't even ... but it's true.

Thoughts:

- And Bo/Dyson doing it ... well, we are off to a wonderful start.  Ugh.  I don't even care that it turned out to be a dream sequence.

- Bo is just such a humble person.  She could really use a little more self-confidence.  She just doesn't believe in herself enough.  Pat yourself on the back every once in a while Bo.  Toot your own horn for a change.

- LOL Saskia is Bo's mother?  Well, I guess it's a good thing they didn't do it then (nice cover with that 'novelty whore' line there Efa).  Bo's gotta feel a little awkward about the girl!crush now.

- Saskia's on screen, I am happy.  Saskia's wearing a hat.  I'm happier.  Though the fact that the writers went to the Merlin School of Subtlely when it comes to female villains, makes me less happy.

- "Quiet like a bunny"  LOL Kenzi.  Considering her love of drama it does NOT surprise me Kenzi reads romance novels.

-  And Bo's a little snitty after learning Dyson's been lying to her since the beginning ... and that's it? [FYI:  she remains only a little snitty throughout.  But I think that's more due to the fact that Lovretta writes Bo, Bo doesn't act like a complete douchebag, and in fact she resembles an actual human being with a working brain]

-  Anna Silk looks really good this episode though.  Bo always looks best in minimal make-up.  Also her acting, WAY WAY better this episode.  At least in this scene.  [FYI:  when Anna is given dark material and zingy one-liners she is very watchable.  It's almost hard to imagine she's the same actress that made me CRINGE last week.  But then again, this time she had decent material to work with and Bo wasn't acting like Justin Bieber fangirl so...]

-  "I know she's kind of a big, crazy bitch"  LOL.  Finally I see a family resemblance.

-  Oooh, Bo's going to see LAUREN!

Bo: How do Succubus' fight each other?
Kenzi: Slow motion pillow fights, crotch lasers?
Oh, Kenzi I heart you so much.

- Bo managed to have a civil conversation with Lauren, and agreed to talk to her?  WHAT IS THIS SHOW THAT I'M WATCHING??!?!?!  What has this sensible person done with Bo?  What has this show that makes sense done with Lost Girl?  *hey, the show has earned this level of sarcasm!*

- Saskia pulling a June Clever?  Nice.

-  Ugh, Dyson you can shove your "I love her" up you butt.  NO1CURR

-  LOL, it just kind of cracks me up that Bo kept on eating that cookie Saskia had baked the whole time she was bitching at her.  Oh, I see, she had to cause their drugged.  "The secret ingredient is love" *twirls Bo's hair*  ewww, creepy.

-  LOL Saskia got Bo hot serving men and women.  BEST MOTHER EVER

-  THAT DRESS SASKIA IS WEARING IS INSANE!  HER BOOBS!  HER BOOBS!

-  It amuses me how much Bo and Saskia seem like they're coming onto each other.  It's like they went to the Anna Torv School of How to Have Inappropriate Chemistry with Women Playing your Relative

Efa:  I'm pretty sure I was speaking English!

-  Himbo Army ... flee from us and our model army ... lol, well done Bo.

-  HOT DAMN!  OH MY GOD!  I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!  Um, by blowing up the Ash did Saskia just unwittingly save Lauren from slavery?  I probably won't find out the answer to that question until season 3 considering how quickly people remember Lauren exists on this show.

- LOL 4 EVER!  BO JUMPING THROUGH THAT WINDOW WAS THE MOST HILARIOUS/RIDICULOUS THING I'VE SEEN!  She was probably a HANDFUL in High School.

-  OMG LAUREN CLIMBING UP ON A GURNEY IS THE HOTTEST THING TO EVER HOT!

-  I love how Bo keeps talking about "her team"!  Like, bitch who are you kidding, it's you and Kenzi.

IS BO THANKING LAUREN AND ACKNOWLEDGING THE RISK SHE IS TAKING?
AND DID THEY JUST KISS?
AND ... I AM HAPPY-ISH

Kenzi:  So what are we supposed to do when we fight Mommy dearest ... besides pee our pants a lot
Kenzi:  Did you make this whole thing up to make-out with me?

-  Bo's quick with hand-cuffs!  Watch out Lauren!  Hee hee

-  The Underground Fae-road

Efa:  NO RUNNING IN THE HOUSE!
This was doubly hilarious after the ridiculously slow way Bo ran out of there.  Seriously, what was that?  Had Anna Silk like twisted her ankle earlier that day?  Girlfriend was practically strolling in terror.

-  I like Dyson's jacket in the scene with the Nor.  Okay, fine.  I WANT Dyson's jacket from the scene with the Nor.

OH GOD DAMN THIS IS SOME SERIOUS SHIT GOING DOWN RIGHT HERE ON THIS FRAKKING SHOW.  I gotta admit, the sacrifice Dyson was willing to make for Bo was pretty serious.  I have to give the man props for be willing to give up his wolf.  STILL, I AM SO HAPPY AT THE MASSIVE COCK-BLOCK THAT JUST GOT THROWN IN THE WAY OF BO/DYSON.  Like I honestly could not have WISHED for a MORE MASSIVE COCK-BLOCK

SHE AIN'T HEAVY, SHE'S MY MOTHER

OOOOOH EFA IS BADASS.  Bitch is like a cat.  Eight more lives bitch!  Still ... I liked this scene more when it was Chase disappearing after Krista threw her over a banister in the Blade:  The Series finale, but it was pretty bad-ass here too!

-  I like Dyson when he thinks he's Wolverine.

-  Oooh, cliffhanger!

And I am officially on-board for and anticipating season 2.  Well done show.  In fact, I think if you just pretend episodes 11 and 12 don't exist, season one might even be re-watchable.

are you fucking kidding?

ARGH.

I mean, yay that Bo and Lauren can apparently be civil, but this REALLY burns.

Since you've deemed this episode watchable, I'm not gonna read your recap just yet but maybe you could please share if there was more than forty-five seconds of Lauren/ZP and mebbe a brief overview of her scenes, perhaps?

Honestly, it is a little irritating that Bo was willing to be reasonable after learning Dyson lied, and that she managed to be civil with him when she completely froze Lauren out and was a complete bitch to her.

But ... Bo was pissed, remained pissed, and refused Dyson's help at a point because she couldn't trust him. So she didn't ignore the lie.

Also, this episode was much better written than previous ones, and Bo in general acted like an adult and made reasonable decisions throughout this episode. It was nice to actually be able to root for Bo.

Plus, Bo/Lauren ends on a pretty good note whereas Bo/Dyson has a HUGE cock-block thrown at it, so ...

Honestly, given what a mess the show has been for the last few episodes, this episode was really the best that could be hoped for.

There's I think three scenes of Lauren, and they're all pretty good.

Lauren gets to be totally bad-ass in Super Doctor mode.

Bo and Lauren interact civilly, Bo treats Lauren like a human being she is fond of.

And Bo and Lauren manage to reconcile a little bit, and acknowledge that they still have feelings for each other, so they end on a fairly positive note.

Girlfriend was practically strolling in terror.
LOL, I was wondering why Saskia was moving almost as fast walking.

Mixed feelings on this ep.

Likes: Lauren yay! Dyson's sacrifice made him pretty cool in my eyes.

Dislikes: Saskia was way too crazy-villain for my tastes. The whole "mommy" thing was creepy. Bo-Dyson is obviously being set up as the endgame. And can someone explain to me why Trick thought keeping Bo's identity secret from the light was helpful? Plot-holes abound.

One thing I found interesting was Lauren's relationship with the light fae and the Ash. Girl seems to be privy to all their secrets, and they trusted her with a key to the trophy room. Which seems to imply her status is more than "human", or "slave to the Ash" Also, the effort she was making to save the Ash seems to imply she cares, or at least respects him deeply. It gives credence to the theory that she bound herself to him willingly.

I haven't watched it yet but I'm so happy there is a B+ rating for this episode!! Or is it A because it is watchable and Bo/Lauren-containing?? Can't wait!

I probably won't find out the answer to that question until season 3 considering how quickly people remember Lauren exists on this show.
I screamed with laughter! You make me do that a lot, I think! Oh, the snark.

Girlfriend was practically strolling in terror.
And again! Stop it I'm falling out of my chair!

I'm so excited to watch this ep I will probably fast forward to Bo/Lauren and then watch it from the beginning and then fast forward again.

OH, THANK THE FUCKING GODS! I seriously did not know if my brain could handle investing this much of my time and get shite payoff. I'll take it! Thanks for the Lauren update, I really appreciate it! :)

So I haven't watch the last two episodes but I think i'm going to skip them and just watch the last one. Your overview of the two episodes just make me cringe and not want to watch them. It sounds like the last episode is going to remind me why I started watching this series in the first place.

Dislikes: Saskia was way too crazy-villain for my tastes. The whole "mommy" thing was creepy.

I would have liked for Saskia not to have been so over-the-top. And Bo and Saskia's whole dynamic this episode was weird. Nothing about them came off Mother-Daughter-ish, but I also found that to be more amusing than creepy, lol.

Bo-Dyson is obviously being set up as the endgame.

I do worry that his sacrifice is so epic that it'll end up being like "he must be rewarded with Bo in the end, right?" But I'm willing to see where it goes ... at least for now.

And can someone explain to me why Trick thought keeping Bo's identity secret from the light was helpful? Plot-holes abound.

I guess he was concerned about them trying to kill her because of how over-the-top evil Efa is. But, yeah. A lot of the secrets Trick's been keeping really didn't seem like they needed to be kept.

One thing I found interesting was Lauren's relationship with the light fae and the Ash...Which seems to imply her status is more than "human", or "slave to the Ash"

Other than in episode 8 when Lauren was all worried while trying to teach Bo how to act like a grown up in front of the Ash she's never seemed very cowed or down-trodden. In the spider-episode she was quite forceful with Fae and seemed to have quite a bit of power as well.

I agree that she seemed genuinely concerned for the Ash as well. She hoped up on that gurney like it was important to her! I think she had to have bound herself willingly to him, and I do think that she has a great deal of respect for him. I also think that her standing in the Fae world probably isn't a low down as we might suspect. She seems like a trusted adviser, and like she would have an according standing in Fae society.

I'd give it's definitely a solid B+ if not an A. I didn't love how over-the-top evil Saskia was, but I think this episode was really the best we could have gotten considering the spot the show was in as of last week.

I'm so excited to watch this ep I will probably fast forward to Bo/Lauren and then watch it from the beginning and then fast forward again.

The whole episode is good, but the Bo/Lauren action I think would definitely soften you towards Bo, which could only increase your enjoyment of the episode if you then go back and watch all of it.

Do it. Skip the last two episodes. They are abysmal and will only make you hate the show. The episode where Saskia is introduced is really the last one you need to watch.

And all you need to know is that at the end of last weeks episode, Saskia tried to kill Dyson, but Bo stepped in and saved him and was able to give him some of her energy essentially bringing him back to life.

And Saskia's name is actually Efa and she's some big succubus bad.

Nothing else relevant happened in those two episodes.

I guess I'll have to download last week's episode and watch it now while I wait for this to show up.

Well ... as long as we continue to have Saskia ...

Okay, because I srsly don't mind spoilers, I read all of that. Which is good because now I'M REALLY EXCITED. I'll give you a proper flail about the finale after I sees it. :3

DON'T DO IT!

Seriously, last weeks episode was abysmal and served next to no purpose.

All you need to know from last week is that Saskia attacked Dyson, injured him seriously and Bo managed to save his life by giving him her own energy (like Saskia did that one time in the alley).

Seriously, watching last weeks episode will only enrage you. Just skip it. It's the Christmas season and sparing you for the horror of last weeks episode is the greatest gift I can give you!

I didn't know if it was possible, but this episode really did get me excited for season 2.

I look forward to reading your flailing after you see the episode!

Duly noted. I will spare myself the eye gouging, then. But darn it ... what do we have to watch once Lost Girl goes on hiatus? I wish summer was back, because we had much better shows then :-(

LMAO at this picspam minus the pics!!!!!!!! I haven't seen the show yet but the last episode made me not care so much so what did I have to lose in reading your post? I seriously laughed and snorted all the way through! Nice to hear the finale didn't disappoint and there is something to look forward to! *heeheehee so funny*

Nothing about them came off Mother-Daughter-ish
MTE It came across as pretty kinky.

But I'm willing to see where it goes ... at least for now.
I would be more than happy if she broke things off with Bo and got together with someone else. Our doctor deserves happiness! But I want more Lauren screen time as well and it's harder if she's not in a relationship with the MC. Argh... Lauren needs her own spinoff series.

She hoped up on that gurney like it was important to her!
During that scene, I was thinking Ash/Lauren ;)

Really. I looked like they were going to throw down half of the time. If you didn't know they mother-daughter you'd think they were going to hate!sex any minute. Actually, even knowing they were mother-daughter didn't really stop me from thinking they were going to hate!sex.

But I want more Lauren screen time as well and it's harder if she's not in a relationship with the MC.

This. And I do enjoy Anna and Zoie's chemistry when Bo and Lauren are getting along. If the writers can just manage to keep writing Bo like in this episode, instead of writing her as a complete asshat I won't mind Bo/Lauren.

During that scene, I was thinking Ash/Lauren ;)

After this episode I think people have evidence to ship it.

I won't though. I only want Lauren's lips on other girl lips. Bo's enough Bi for the show, I want Lauren to be a lezza.

I do want to see more of Lauren and the Ash's relationship though.

Heh, I'm glad the rambling paid off.

And this has definitely been the most enjoyable episode of the show in a while, and it's probably one of the top episodes of the show just in general.

The cast did not lie about the twists and turns in this ep.

Okay, that is marginally better. Still obnoxious, though. The writing teams need to get on the same page stat.

Honestly, it is a little irritating that Bo was willing to be reasonable after learning Dyson lied, and that she managed to be civil with him when she completely froze Lauren out and was a complete bitch to her.

Sigh. If I wanted to be charitable and credit the writers with, like, subtlety, or entertain the crazy notion that they might somehow see Bo/Lauren as equal to Bo/Dyson, I would argue that the disparate level of reaction is because Bo just cared a lot more that Lauren lied to her and was upset because their First Time was Supposed to be Special Because Meaningful.

But I'm not that charitable. Or deluded.

Hope the producers really have listened to the fan adoration for Lauren and give her more to do in S2.

I wish they wrote this series this good all the time instead of the crap shoot they do for the other eps. So Dyson gets tricked and loses his love and passion for Bo instead of his wolf? Not much of a cock block since Bo can still use him for healing. Still if he really acts indifferent to Bo next season, good that means she may turn to Lauren for support and then a true triangle can develop. And word on the almost no reaction to him lying to her, or for that matter Trick lying to her. I can't believe that she flips out at Lauren and yet barley flinches and actually talks to Dyson about what he did.

Finally we have a villain that matters and can kick ass. Saskia/Efa is a great addition and I hope she continues her campaign to bring the Fae down. For that matter I want her to remain ambiguous to Bo in much the same way Mystque is to Rogue in X Men.

Lauren:I have a theory about her, I'm thinking she may be the Ash's daughter, just that she's human not fae. He may be using that against her to enslave her or keep her near him for what ever purpose he has, while she benefits from him with a great job. That or what ever is between them is genuine and more affectionate than just a slave/master relationship.Unless ownership is transferred to the new Ash she had no reason to want him to live so much.

Honestly, I'm still reeling from the whole 'jumping up on the gurney' thing. It was...oh my. Dr Hotpants is hot. Uh, pants.

Yes yes, I'm making no sense at all. I know this. But really? I need more of Dr Hotpants being all medical badass and stuff. Oh, and more grabby-face kissing too, while you're at it, show. Thank you.
