I apologize in advance for any Debbie Downer-ing in this comment ... I speak from heartache not from a desire to sound like a contrary bitch ;)
I think I need to wait to see what people's thoughts on the next book are before I will be able to read this one. I'm like a spurned lover right now, who can't hear my douche-bag ex's name without wanting to throw things before I break down in tears. It's too fresh.
I tried to start reading Pale Demon, and intellectually I could tell it was alright, but it was like my brain was trying to protect my fragile heart by remaining aloof from the text, and I found that I couldn't get into it.
I guess what I'm saying is that for the first time in a couple of books, I actually saw a possibility of where she could be going if she doesn't chicken out again some more.
It is encouraging to hear that things are looking up again.
How much Ivy was there in this book?
I've got the idea in my head that Kim is not nearly as interested in Ivy as a character as she was at the beginning of the series, and this makes me worry that if Kim's girl!crush on Ivy has worn off that bodes poorly for a Ravy ending.
