C/D does always tweak something in me because of their childhood connection
I don't know if loving this dynamic counts as a kink, but if it does I feel it hard, yo! (which probably explains taking it to the nth degree!)
I do have a C/K comment/question...It's probably just wishful thinking on my part, but did you mean to infer that Kahlan and Cara had been together in the past?
I didn't really have the idea in my head that Cara and Kahlan had actually 'done' anything with each other sexually. It was more just keeping that strong connection the show developed between them, with a little acknowledgement of the fact that if things had been different (i.e. Kahlan and Richard's epic love wasn't in the picture) that Cara and Kahlan could have had something together.
Kahlan had such a strong impact on Cara in the show (I mean, obviously Cara was affected by Richard and cared for him too, but Kahlan is the one she really learned from, had most of her emotional moments with, and had to overcome the biggest obstacles to bound with which makes the closeness that develops between them even more moving) so I figured that if Cara was going to fall in love that whoever it was that was lucky enough to win her heart would have some of Kahlan's attributes. Kahlan was pretty much the standard to which all possible suitors would be compared in Cara's mind because of the respect and love she has for Kahlan (though she would never actually admit it! lol)
So yeah, there's a little bit of C/K subtext in there (because they really are wonderful together), but it's more in a wistful 'what might have been way' with both of them being quite happy and content with their love interests.
