I'm so glad that you enjoyed the story, and that the glass dagger bit seemed to fit. One of the things that I loved about Gerta was just how much she loved Talia and was completely devoted to her and it seemed to me that trying to make something like that would totally be something that Gerta would do (not only to help protect her woman, but because she'd pretty much do anything to make Talia smile).
I miss them too! This is like the Legend of the Seeker of books for me. It will forever remain perfect in my mind because it's ended, but I want moar so bad. So very bad.
