... it was alright.

I enjoyed it, but I didn't fall in love with it.  It was a pilot though, so that's not surprising.  I've been lukewarm to lots of pilots of shows I ended up loving.

I did like the relationship between the Angels, though.  Yay for girls being friends and acting like friends!

Also, I already have ships!  Abby/Eve for amazingly hot, competitive, animal attraction sex, and Abby/Kate for cute, sweet, friends with benefits type comfort sexing.  A pairing for all occasions!

I think the most remarkable thing about the pilot however was that it made me find Minka Kelly crazy hot!  What?  I didn't think such a thing was possible, but Eve is mega, crazy hot to me and I was not expecting that.  I thought I'd be an Abby girl, but my lady!parts want what they want I guess, lol.

I just finished watching and I actually rather enjoyed it. Like you said, it was a pilot and they generally suck, but femslash possibilities were screaming at me from the get-go and that put a smile right on my face.

Abby is femslash central. She had chemistry with Gloria (very touchy-feely) and Eve (hot and steamy) and although I got the platonic vibe from her interactions with Kate I have high hopes we'll see some sparks between them too before too long.

I liked all four angels and Bosley but I really wasn't a fan of their Charlie voice. It just lacked the gravitas and old boy smarm of the original.

I think it has potential, so I'm just really hoping my like of it turns into love over the next few episodes.

And I loved that I was able to femslash from like the opening of the show, lol.

Abby really is femslash central though. God bless Rachael Taylor and her ability innate chemistry with all females! Australian girls strike again! Abby/Eve is definitely the ship I'm watching the most though, I found their interactions absolutely delicious.

Abby/Eve managed to make my long dormant writing senses tingle. Here's hoping for lots more lovely subtext before they start shoving the boy-toys of the week down our throats.

Totally with you about the Abby/Eve ship! Rachael Taylor just has chemistry with most people. What I found interesting was the amount of eyesex Abby was engaging with Eve.

Now looking forward to Doccubus Sundays....

I'm in the same boat. It was alright. Didn't quite leave an impression on me, but enough to make me want to check out the next episode. Also agree on Minka Kelly. She was my favourite thing about the episode. Though I think the Roommate made it hard for me to watch Minka without thinking of Leighton Meester.

BTW did you watch Amber Heard's new series The Playboy Club? That one I liked a lot more and the series really seems to have a lot of potential to grow into something. Amber Heard was devine and it's incredibly gay friendly. Has a lesbian with an important storyline as opposed to being a ratings stunt come sweeps time. Just found out the other day that the creator is a gay man. That gives me a lot of hope that the gay actor and character might be playing a intricate part to the series.

Also Leah Renee (the lesbian) is a Canadian. Why does it seem like gay characters on non paid TV are being played by Canadians like Shay Mitchell on Pretty Little Liars?

What I found interesting was the amount of eyesex Abby was engaging with Eve.

I know! It was like Minka and Rachael were doing it impossible. A couple of times Eve had this, "I've been in prison and I know what to do with what you've got" look in her eyes when she was looking at Abby, and I was like "Damn, Angels! Keep it up!"

Let's hope Lost Girl stays at last weeks quality.

I kind of expected Minka to be a non-muthafuckin' factor for me when it came to the show, but I love Eve so much that I'm glad I was completely wrong about her!

And I did see the Playboy Club, which I thought was pretty damn good. The pilot really gripped me. I think Amber's amazing and am enjoying Maureen. I'm really interested in Alice's (lesbo-bunny) storyline and the fact that it seems to be a real (and serious) storyline. And I'm also really intrigued by the older bunny.

Ooh, plot bunnies! Every exciting!

And yeah, we better enjoy all of the Angel-Angel-Angel screen time while it lasts.

Though my hope is that the Angels will maintain their flirty tone and eye-sexing with each other even when the boy-toy's get tossed at us, and we femslashers can just do what we do. I mean Abby mentioned some bartender this episode, but the only person I saw her eying up and down was Eve!

I'm intrigued by Carol-Lynne too, but more intrigued where they're planning on taking her relationship with Maureen. At first it seemed like the cliched old star being jealous of the young new star story, but their talk in the office was interesting. Maureen telling Carol that she wants to be her friend and Carol telling her that she really is on her side and want to see her be all she can be. Hope they're actually planning on going somewhere with that angle and that it simply wasn't a tease.

My only real concern is I hope Eddie Cibrian's mob/political story doesn't take up too much focus. We've seen this story done a bajillions before, and hope it doesn't get anymore than 25% of screentime.

Plus Cibrian seems to be the only castmember people have a problem with. Though complaints seems to be divided between those making stupid Mad Men comparison's and saying he's not Jon Hamm and that it's off putting. To those who just can't stand the guy due to his infidelities.

I honestly didn't mind him or his story, but I definitely felt it was the weakest aspect of the show compared to the women's.

Forgot to add, I think you should do recaps for Playboy Club too. The show needs the ratings.

Just watched it and it exceeded my really low expectations (after hearing awful things about it). I've always liked Minka Kelly but it was Rachael Taylor who surprised me. Totally on the Abby/Eve train.
