The first season of the show is brilliant. It's so much fun, and the relationships between the characters are great (plus it's brimming with gay, both M/M in Merlin/Arthur, and F/F with Morgana/Gwen).
The second season was a hot mess though. The only good thing about it was the introduction of Morgause, and the inappropriate hotness of Morgana/Morgause. Episodes 2x08 and 2x12 are the only second season ones I can watch repeatedly because Emilia Fox as Morgause is a revelation.
I'd def. recommend checking out the two Morgause eps so far, because she and Morgana are pretty epic together.
