"Imagine Me & You"

Okay, so thanks to jetgirl78's post I checked out the "Imagine Me and You" trailer and *SQUEEEEEEEE*

I am already totally in love with this movie! Oh, British rom-com's ... you had me at hello ... um, I mean you had at me at Piper Perabo and Lena Headey falling madly in love with each other at first sight!

Not only does the movie look funny, and charming, but the lead Perabo and Headey seem to have good chemistry with each other (or maybe that should be good calculus, Lena + Piper = Teh Sex), and there's a happy ending (or so I've read!).

Now if only I can find the trailer in glorious downloadable quicktime format I would be the happiest girl in the world.

First, so very jealous of your Lena Headey icon. I've already told friends that she is my girlcrush 2006. Second, I'm glad I can set you off on another delightful fandom. Always happy to help in that regard.

As for a downloadable quicktime format, the best I can offer is quicktime in medium quality (right click/save as), but I'm hoping this tides you over until someone more savvy than I can cough up the HD verision.

I was thought she was a crazy mix of Sienna Miller, Keira Knightly and Lara Finn Boyle, yet all sorts of yum, but I definitely see the Saffron Burrows likeness.

My God. This has the potential to be a great movie. Celia Imrie, Sue Johnston and Tony Head!!! And the guy from Smack The Pony who I've been in love with for years and have not yet learned his name.

Thus far, Lena Headey has the distinction of being in many things I've seen and haven't liked. Pretty much the only thing I've seen her in that I've liked was Ballykissangel and that was only one episode way back in the beginning. But I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. For the record, she reminds me of Jennifer Ehle.

And Piper Perabo's accent sounds like it might not actually suck!

The many faces of Lena Headey! It's true, from different angles she looks like quite a few different people. I can definately see some Keira and Sienna in there (not so much Lara cause circ. 2005 by the power of Greyskull she scares the living shit of of me!). But when that scene in the trailer where she's talking to her mom (?) pops on, I could've sworn she was Saffron Burrows.

LOL. I know what you mean! (*shudder* "Ripley's Game" *shudder*) The only movie I've seen her in that I kinda liked was "Gossip". And I think that's cause I saw it when I was still in High School and wasn't so picky (and also cause now I can't really remember it, lol).

Me too. She's never been bad in any of the movies I've seen her in, the movies as a whole have just blown. Plus, she is bringing the pretty like whoa in the trailer, and cute girl love. Yeah, I'll definately give it the benefit of the doubt ;)

So true. When she first said "You're gorgeous" in the trailer I shuddered, cause yeah that was really bad. But after that from what I could hear of the accent it sounded remarkably decent (eat your heart out Gwyneth Paltrow!)

Not yet :( The UK release is in Feburary. I have no idea when it'll be released in North America (come on bittorrent, don't you let me down!)

Smack the Pony is a British comedy sketch show. The name is probably the best thing about it but it did have some inspired moments. Darren Boyd is 'the guy' referred to above and is always adorably shy and stuttery. And tall.

I didn't like 'Gossip'. I only watched it because it had Josh Jackson in it. And he wasn't in it very much.

Yeppers! Well, I think her character doesn't "do labels" but essentially yes.

Oh my God, I can't believe she's playing a lesbian! That is AWESOME!

lol. You should check out "Lost and Delirious". Piper plays a lesbian in that too, and has some steamy make-out/love scenes with Jessica Pare in it. There's a high angst factor in the movie, but Piper is really good in it!

I put a bit more info about the film on my LJ. According to what I could find out it is supposed to come out in "limited" release next month in the US.
