So this will be a first for this season of TLW, but I saw a screener copy of the fifth episode, and I have to say the episode was genuinely entertaining! YAY! And after four episodes pretty much completely devoid of sex outside of the mostly incomprehensible teasers with hot nuns, this episode seemed to be trying to make up for it all in one go, and I for one didn't mind one single bit.
I'm gonna stay away from talking about the TiBette because for the most part this story-line is breaking my heart. Mostly cause Bette is in pain, and I love me some Bette like, in the words of the great philospher 50 cent, "a fat kid loves cake". Seriously, Jennifer Beals is a goddess and when she's all snarky and bitchy while telling off asshat Congress guys or getting her fingers licked by hot female Senator's I loves her even more. So on the TiBette front I'll just say that at least these two are talking about their feelings now and sharing things with each other instead of just being icy and distant, so that's something. Also we get to see Bette in a bra. Twice. It was green. Yum.
Kit and Angus ... mostly whatever. Actually I kinda like Angus, he's hot in that geeky kinda way that I like. Plus, he sang David Bowie ("Changes" in case you wondering), it was good, and now I think he's sexy. And I think Kit agrees with me.
Alice. Hee. I LOVED Alice's storyline this episode. So, good. She and Helena go speed dating (yeah, I know but the storyline is actually amusing, and not painfully amusing like Alice's actions have been lately) ... wait, make that BISEXUAL speed dating, much to Helena's chagrin. Long story short, Alice ends up meeting a totally HOT vampire chick and agreeing to go out on a date with her. This girl is HOT, like Emmanuelle Vaugier but without that thing that makes me think she's funny looking. Like an Emmanuelle Vaugier that's hot from like every angle all the time, and is a vampire! Anyway, long story short, Alice finally gets some, from what she tells Helena it's REALLY good, and from what the audience gets to see totally hot. Seriously, it was ... um, hot and funny in a way that did not detract from the hotness.
Helena is hot. Really, Rachel Shelley is ungodly attractive, and even though I don't recognize this woman who calls herself Helena Peabody as the Helena Peabody of Season 2, this Cute!Helena is sexy. Also, Rachel looks like a really awesome kisser. Which is hot. Alex Hedison/Dylan whatever, but seeing Helena get topped and all moaning and eager is ..... yeah, the pattern of the episode, HOT. Really, I love eager and horny Helena, I think I'll keep her.
The Sharmen. Finally hits a bump in the road with the return of Sherri Jaffy. First let me say, MmmmRosannaArquette (yeah, I know she has a funny mouth, but I find her incredibly hot.) Sherri Jaffy (Pezone or whatever her alias/maiden name for booking with Shane was) is hot. And Shane thinks so too. And Carmen walks in on a repeat scene of Shane on her knees in her sexy glasses sizing up Sherri's hair and FREAKS! FYI, Carmen is hot when she's pissy, yo! Anyway, Carmen calls Shane out about letting Sherry stay for a hair cut and tells her to act like she 'has a girlfriend'. Shane blinks. Carmen stomps away. Shane goes back to Sherri to gives her a business call and basically tells her that her booty is Shane's if ever she wants it (and that she could bring Carmen along if she wants to keep the Missus happy - that threesome would be so hot and bitchy, which is hot). Later, at yet another trendy club Carmen is DJing, and flirts with some hotboys to make Shane jealous while wearing the MOST BOOTYLICIOUS OUTFIT ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH. Seriously, y'all, it's really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, bootylicious. Short shorts (really tight ones), body hugging buttong up tank top thing, all black ... hot. Anyway, Carm's plan works a little too well and Shane runs off in search of Sherri, to have hot pool sex. Normally, I don't find Kate too sexy with her clothes off, but the Sherri pool sex was good.
Dana's storyline this episode was pretty heart breaking. Really well acted, but so sad. Especially the last tender scene between her and Lara, which was sweet, and tragic and so many other things all rolled into one. Lauren Lee Smith and Erin Daniels really did an awesome job tonight. Lauren's facial expressions were just *straight to the heart*, and Erin, well *wipes tear*. I'd no one about how mad hot Lauren Lee Smith is, cause she is and MmmmLaraBoobies, but this storyline was too sad for that (you know beyond what I just wrote).
So in conclusion, in episode 5 you can look forward to:
1. Bette in a bra. Twice.
2. Hot vampire chicks! Really hot vampire sex!
3. Carmen ... being bootylicious.
4. Helena being hot, and kissing like whoa.
5. Lara's boobies ... and ANGST!
Oh, and Jenny and Moira were in there too! Hee. Actually I really liked this story this episode. Jenny was a really good girlfriend, and Moira looked mad hot and was feeling like a pimp at the random trendy club. I'm really interested in seeing how their relationship progresses with Moira moving more and more towards becoming Max. Jenny was really supportive this episode and I think their relationship would be really interesting. Also, the guy that interviewed Moira for her job is the biggest asshole ever. Seriously, 'neither fish nor fowl', that guy needs my foot up his ass like ten minutes ago.
I have to say, Ep. 4 and this episode have given me hope for the rest of the season. It started off rather dubiously, but I think the show might be hitting it's stride now. I'm once again invested in all of the characters and care what happens to them, and am actually entertained by them. Hopefully the following episodes will continue the same upwards trend.
