Believe it or not there ARE some good things about that show.
BWAH! That's a funny joke! ;)
Rachel Shelley's accent <3 <3 <3 <3
Or Rachel Shelley in white bikini's *mmmm* but then they find ways to screw up even Rachel Shelley like that godawful relationship with Dylan. *ugh* ...and because it cannot be repeated enough *UGHHHHHHHHHH*
Good LORD Loken is nice..
Le sigh. So true. I think I'll probably just watch her scenes with the mute button on that way the inevitable bad/inane/crack-head writing won't taint her for me. Though that would mean I wouldn't get to hear the sexy, sexy voice.
Rachel's accent (and the rest of her) are yummy :) And Lauren Lee Smith is all kinds of cute. Too bad she gets minimal airtime. There's an opposites attract dynamic with her and Alice that's pretty hot. Lots of potential for good fic!
Hmmm Kristanna Loken...I still haven't gotten around to watching Bloodrayne and now I may not have to ;). Does it mean that Carmen's out? Lara and her were the only sane characters around.
And Lauren Lee Smith is all kinds of cute. Too bad she gets minimal airtime.
I loved Lara, and she totally didn't get enough screen time. Lauren Lee Smith rocked, and yes Lara was like one of the only remotely normal characters on the show.
Hmmm Kristanna Loken...I still haven't gotten around to watching Bloodrayne and now I may not have to ;)
lol. Yeah, the best thing about BloodRayne was the gay and the vampire teeth. And while there are no vampire teeth on TLW, they're be plenty of gay (and better hair) so unless you have a hankering to watch bad movies I'd say you could probably skip it, lol.
Does it mean that Carmen's out? Lara and her were the only sane characters around.
Yeah, Carmen's out. I didn't watch the end of last season because *shudder* but I heard that Carmen walked out on Shane at their wedding, and Sarah Shahi has a new shoe so I'm guessing Carmen is gone for good. Which is a shame cause I liked Carmen, but at least she's passing the torch over to someone equally as hot ;)
I loved Lara, and she totally didn't get enough screen time. Lauren Lee Smith rocked, and yes Lara was like one of the only remotely normal characters on the show. Uh, oh...me not likey this use of past tense. Does this mean Lauren's found something better to do with her career? Yay for her I guess. I'll miss watching her make out with girls though. That was seriously hot. Not that it happened that often. Le sigh.
I didn't watch the end of last season because *shudder* For the past 2 seasons I've been watching only once in awhile and even then, I keep the fast forward button handy. Problem is where else are you going to see GOGA on tv, even if most of the time I'm wondering what kind of crack they're on? I'm so waiting for SON to start back up. And there's always Sugar Rush. Thanks for turning me on to that btw ;) I really rely on you to find out what's going on in the big world of TV, lol.
Uh, oh...me not likey this use of past tense. Does this mean Lauren's found something better to do with her career?
Probably not. My word is not gospel when it comes to this show. Like I said I didn't watch like the last four or so episodes of the season so I really have no idea how it ended. She could totally be around next season. I think maybe I was using the past tense because before the Kristanna news the show was dead to me, lol.
Problem is where else are you going to see GOGA on tv, even if most of the time I'm wondering what kind of crack they're on?
I never made a concious decision to stop watching it's just like it kept on taking me longer and longer to download the episodes until I realized the season was over and I didn't care (even when I found out that Renee Rienne - aka Sydney Bristow's french spy bitch - made out with Jenny. I just couldn't care!)
But what you say is true, GOGA action on TV is so rare and exactly why I watched the show for so long. But finally I just couldn't stand the crack monkey writing/soundtrack/plotlines anymore. I mean, I loved Carmen's ass, and Helena's bikini but the show just became an unending train of misery (Bette/Tina, Helena and Dylan *ugh*, Dana and everything Dana related) that was painful to sit through. I don't like other people's pain, this is why I never watched Party of Five.
I'm so waiting for SON to start back up. And there's always Sugar Rush.
Yeah, I'm anxiously awaiting the return of SON. Spashley4evah! Seriously SON isn't gonna winning any Emmy's or anything and I'm not gonna say the writing is dazzling or whatever, but having likeable characters, plotlines that are somewhat relatable and coherent plotlines really make all the difference in the world.
And I'm not even saying that characters need to be likable for me to watch a show. Because I love shows like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia where every character is a complete asshole, and even on Sugar Rush, both Sugar and Kim can be complete bitches at times but I still care about them and am entertained.
TLW, I just ... have no words ...
I really rely on you to find out what's going on in the big world of TV, lol.
I'm glad that my addiction has gone to good use :D
Renee Rienne - aka Sydney Bristow's french spy bitch - made out with Jenny Elodie Bouchez is the bomb! The real trip is that her scenes with Mia made me realize that they totally look alike! That was a little strange when I skipped around to that scene. At first I was a little confused.
TLW, I just ... have no words ... To think that this is the finest that lesbians who are professional TV people can produce. It's kind of baffling, a little like Ellen's last ep. Hey, I really hope you take this writing stuff professional soon. You have the talent and clearly the world needs it :D.
well, if you watch it on mute it is tolerable, and the fast forward button is a gift from ... there ARE some things that are nice about TLW, Alice and Helena (the yoga scene last season was hilarious), Lauren Lee Smith, and the baby is rather cute.
but there is not only TLW, I have to watch Lost now (regularly), because Rodrigo Santoro (really, OMG does not cover him appropriately), and my longstanding crush Elisabeth Mitchell join next season.
I really wish they would just put all those people in ONE show, preferably one that I am already watching.
here ARE some things that are nice about TLW, Alice and Helena (the yoga scene last season was hilarious), Lauren Lee Smith, and the baby is rather cute.
Yes, there are moments of light sporadically, like Alice and Helena (yoga was gold) or Alice and her vampire girlfriend and Lara, and baby Jeli ... oh and there was Carmen's weird ass lectures about her dreams about birds and Cheri Jaffy or whatever that was kind of amusing ... but if we put all of those moments together they'd probably equal about 30 minutes (okay, maybe 45) out of a whole season. *shudder*
Yeah, honestly Kristanna is the only reason I will be subjecting myself to this again. I tried really hard for 2 and a half seasons, but then I just couldn't. be. bothered.
but there is not only TLW, I have to watch Lost now (regularly), because Rodrigo Santoro (really, OMG does not cover him appropriately), and my longstanding crush Elisabeth Mitchell join next season.
Mmmm, Rodrigo Santoro and Elizabeth Mitchell. Soooo much pretty. I watch Lost already though the second season - especially the last half - didn't really impress me so I would've been watching that pretty anyway. There's also Evangline Lily and Emilie De Ravin, not to mention Yunjin Kim on that show so fempretty is well covered. Rodrigo will be a nice addition for boypretty which for me is seriously lacking on that show.
Plus if Mitchell and Lily have like any scenes it should be lesyay galore. Hell, if Mitchell has scenes with any female character it should be lesyay galore (though considering how they managed to keep Kate and Ana-Lucia - aka Michelle Rodriquez - apart almost all last season I do have my doubts)
The last season of TLW was quite horrible indeed. I still have not seen all the episodes, and probably won't. But then, how many shows are there to see actual sex between two women going on. So I am kind of stuck. And I probably will watch it next year again until I am totally fed up with the bad writing, the ridiculous storylines and the so-called soundtrack.
I have seen a couple of episodes of Lost last season - depending on the absence of my roomies - and it is okay, I am not hooked though and don't go cold turkey if I miss an episode, but it is one of the better shows around. Mitchell and Lily will hopefully have some screen time since I reckon Mitchell is supposed to be a "love interest" for the good old doctor, and him and Kate have some sort of weird mating dance going on, with Sawyer buzzing through every now and then. And EM has serious gayvibes with every woman I have ever seen her on screen, so yeah! And Santoro is finally a pretty man on the show, Sawyer is cavemen hot, but that is not really my cup of tea.
