Heroes - 1x04 "Collision"
Oct. 16th, 2006 10:57 pmStill digging Heroes. This weeks episode was fun, and it was nice to see emerging badassery all around.
- First of all, Ali Larter continues to be really, really ridiculously good looking. She had some nice scenes tonight where she got to act as well as look confused and be smokin' hot. I really loved the bathroom chat with Micah. Her resting her head on his shoulder was not just cute, it was frakking cute. Also, his "it's safter to strip in the garage" little man talk and her ensuing 'wtf' face was both sweet and sad. I felt for her knowing that he knew.
I also surprisingly really like the hotel talk with Nathan. Pasdar and Larter have some good chemistry. If she wasn't being blackmailed and he wasn't Magnicient Bastard v2.0 I'd almost like them together. Alas, both of those things exist however, so I don't want to see any more of them. Still nice little scene.
IKIN! How how awesome was it to see Ikin in action. I was really hoping that she was going to put her heel through his skull, and considering the mass graveyard in the desert I'm really actually surprised that she didn't. Still seeing her go all Bristow on that asshats ass was wicked cool. Also, her "If you ever threat OUR son again" comment means that I no longer have to worry about Micah being in danger around Ikin, which makes me happy. Ikin can be as badass and psycho as she wants as long as no one hurts the little man.
- Claire. Dayuuuuum, girl. Gotta hand it to her for keeping cool on the autopsy table. I would not have handled waking up to my ribcage after nearly being raped nearly as well as she did. Hayden really sold the breakdown on the stairs as well, I just wanted to hug her. But I have to say, Claire the Destroyer at the end was just awesome. As soon as she asked to drive I was like "girlfriend is gonna crash that car something fierce!"
-Isaac. Omg, I liked you for the first time ever. I'll admit most of my hatred came from you being a bad actor in the that horrible mini-series "Empire", but finally tonight you have redeemed yourself (somewhat). For some reason the head band is hot, and the whole 'shooting up-vision-painting' sequence was pretty badass. Isaac blindly painting away with his white'd out Storm eyeballs wasn't just cool. It was frakking cool.
- Claire's dad continues to creep me the hell out.
- Peter continues to annoy me.
- Mohinder continues to look fine, but bores me. Though I did like his "he's on the table" line.
- CreepyBaldTelepath continues to be cool, though the fact that he hangs with Claire's dad creeps me out. Also, poor Weiss! Also, bring back Stacy Haiduk! She has pretty eyes.
- And last but not least, Samurai Hiro was wicked. Masi's deep voice at the end totally pwned me. Loved it. I wonder how far in the future that Hiro is from? Also, continue to love Ando, I'm kinda sorry he didn't get to run into his girlcrush Niki though. I'm pretty sure that scene would have been comedy gold.
- Also, I could totally ship Niki/Tina. You know you're close with someone when you share your homicidal fantasies, and fears of psychosis together in the bathroom while half-dressed. Also, Micah totally has two moms, because I swear they are practically raising that child together.
Can't wait until next week ...

Date: 2006-10-19 10:00 pm (UTC)The green thing is good. Not that I'm a greenophobe or anything, but so not hawt.
The superstrength thing maybe though. Niki did mention to Tina that the guys in her garage had been ripped in half, and she took down that guy in the elevator like yesterdays garbage. I'm hoping that ikiN has some sort of superstrength or ability. I'm getting a very strong Crital Maas (Rising Stars) vibe from Niki at the moment (though I don't want to see her lay waste to New York and die ... because then no more assilicious stripping which = tears)
..the whole show is a geek's heaven...
Couldn't agree more. *sounds of geeker joy*
hey just need to keep the plot tight and have some payoff moments so the audience won't be left hangin'..
So true. I just don't want this show to turn into "Lost". *Shudder* With the premise of the show you have so much opportunity, I don't want the writers to get too impressed with themseleves and turn it into a boring, incomprehensible mess populated by characters I hate where nothing happens. This nuclear apocalypse shit better happen this season, not still be hinted at in season 3 (sorry, "Lost" hatage is making me bitter).
ali kinda looks like diana, only hotter...
*giggle sort* Tis true. I'd even go so far as to say 'way' hotter, lol. I'm sorry, Diana Krall makes me go nappie time.
you have to ask yourself, when isn't milo veg-o-matic annoying and nerve grating??.
Excellent point. But at least he didn't used to have the worst hair in the world. I mean, Peter is bad enough but you throw that haircut on top of everything else, and the character is completely unwatchable.
jacqualine kim would be a kick ass dr. mann...mmm...jackie kim...(drool)...:)
Mmmm, Jacqualine Kim. After watching 'Eureka', I'd also throw Tamlyn Tomita out there as a possible Dr. Mann. I'd love to add Gong Li to the list cause 'gahhhh so pretty', but her English probably isn't good enough for the American born Dr. Mann.
Did you have a chance to check out Jennifer Carpenter? If you want I'll send a "Dexter" link your way and you can check her out in motion. There's somethinga about D.E.B. that's just very Hero.

loooooved hiro's terminator-esque entrance in the last scene of "collision"
really looking forward to the next episode...my co-worker was telling me about dexter...i haven't seen it yet, maily because i found showtime's overly excessive adverts very off putting...but if it has the janine seal of approval, it must be worth a look-see...and why didn't you just say emily rose??...i'm like "ooooh, that chick"...i dunno...she seems too sweet to be as fucked up as hero is...it will be interesting to see how the casting go...cuz let's face it...that's pretty key to getting the right feel of the comic...now i must away to have some sticky thoughts about gong li and tamalyn tomita...:)
