fembuck...Kristanna Loken! Okay, so I'll also be hoping for another "Beals in Bra" scene, but mostly I'll be there for the Loken.
Yay, finally some promo shots for season 4! I was beginning to think that Loken's Paige character was some sort of elaborate rouse or something. Awww, so cute. Amazingly, the most astonishing thing about these pics isn't Kristanna's breath-taking beauty, but that they somehow found a way to make Kate Moennig look taller than Kristanna in every picture.
Also, I never realized that Anabella Scorching!Hot ... ah, Sciorra was a member of the lollipop guild before.

True dat. I think there'll be a lot of potential for comedy gold at the beginning with Poor!Helena, and those two are always watchable on screen. Plus I liked the pictures of Alice and Tasha, but then again with pictures I can't hear the crappy dialogue and music, which is really what ruins the show, lol.

I am, although I've downloaded but not watched this weeks episode. I heard its more of this seasons same old crap, with no Spashley touching, Ashley creating drama now that Paula has backed down somewhat and Aiden crap which really makes me not want to watch it.
That show was such a guilty pleasure last season, and Spashley was so smokin' hot and cute. But they're so boring and awkward and way more platonic than they ever were last season and it kinda makes me cringe to watch it. Not to mention the overdose of frakking Aiden.
I think there's only like one episode left so I'll probably finish out the season, but if it's renewed I don't know if I'll watch again ... unless they cast Kristanna Loken, lol. Really, Kristanna or some other hot chick making out with Paula is the only thing that could draw me back in, cause really I think Maeve Quinlan would be all over that shit.

Gabrielle Christiansen is a decent actress and I'm sure she's a nice girl and everything, but her horrible physical acting (or lack of it) with Mandy is really jarring, and it makes Spashley really boring.
Or if Paula breaks down and declares her deep love for Spencer. (omg, watch this weeks, and tell me I'm not reading too much into it).

Date: 2006-12-11 02:03 am (UTC)See, from a storytelling point of view I'd be on board with that, because the show has been about Spencer's coming out process, and Spencer is the one that seems to be gay to Ashley's gay-ish. But Mandy is just so much better at acting gay, that I want all the chicks thrown her way (not that it's likely we're ever gonna see something like the Paige-Bathroom-Makeout-scene again).
Though honestly, its mean of me to blame Gabby so much when the writing is clearly as fault. I mean, if they wrote them being at all couple-y I'm sure Gabby could step to the plate, as it is they're just BFFs that make allusions to making out with each other, but never actually DO anything.
This is something that I really need to have seen.
I'll see if I can find the address to Gabby's myspace again. I'm sure that Maeve's messages are still as gay, lol.

I think Gabby is doing a great job, but then I WAY more identify with Spencer, on the gay-scale. It's not her defining quality. Mandy, I think, is just more sexual over all. Its the sexuality she's good at, not necessarily the gayness.

Date: 2006-12-11 02:52 am (UTC)True dat, true dat. And I identify with Spencer much more than Ashley as well, which is probably why I find Ashley dreamy just like Spencer does, lol. I think you're right about Mandy just being more sexual overall and more comfortable portraying that onscreen.
I guess I should admend my statements to say I wish Gabby was a little more comfortable displaying physical closeness onscreen (both het and homo, cause her scenes with Aiden were kind of awkward too - but at the time I figured that was a concious decision). Because without it there's a certain chemistry-lessness that works for Spencer/Aiden, but kinda sucks for Spencer/Ashley especially since the writing doesn't exactly compensate for it.

Isn't it though, lol. It's what keeps be coming back for more. That and the hope they'll keep bring back Suzie, lol. I'm still bitter that they didn't have Gwen hook up with Tosh, because really it would have been totally in character for the show.

Last season I didn't like the story line, I did not like the pairings, I was forced to watch most episodes on mute because of the vomit-inducing dialogues or deafening music, but nonetheless I watched it because there was Alice, and Helena, and Lara (and Dana RIP).
And in a couple of weeks I will be watching again, and ramble on about it and ask myself when I lost the last few brain cells that make me come back every fucking Sunday.
and btw, there is the cutest picture of Helena ever. Alice goes without words :)
