Heroes 1x12 - Godsend Commentary

Fuckin-A! Goddamn that was truly satisfying. The only thing that could have made it better if I was eating pancakes while watching. (Note to self: Next week make pancakes to eat while watching!) Well, I guess eating pancakes that were made for me by Kristanna Loken or Ali Larter would have been even better, but I'm not greedy, lol.

Because this is an immediate post episode squee, I'm sure I'll only touch on like a fraction of the awesomeness of the episode, but here goes anyway...


Nessica = love. Or should I say Jessica equals love. I literally let out a "goddaaaaaaaamn" at the last line of the episode. "Who needs God when you've got me *bad-ass stare*" *swoon* I flove Jessica. That hand grab and night-stick snapping of bad-assery was awesome, I was "whoop whooping" I freely admit it. Plus, padded cell Nessica is hot, seriously giving someone tranq's in the ass while they're in a straight jacket shouldn't be hot, but such is the overwhelming power of the Larter. Also, Niki begging for Jessica's help at the end is definately going to inspire some Sanderscest fic when I get some free time. [Borat]Sexy time![/Borat]

Hiro is awesome. I loved everything Hiro this episode. Sometimes I can find him a bit much but he was just perfect this episode. I loved watching him tell the story of the Bushido warrior, Masi really knocked that out of the park. I would love to have Hiro as my awesomely geeky Japanese history teacher. Plus, his "I'm going to take it back" after he realized the sword was a fake was comedy gold. Then his whole interaction at Isaac's was great. "Just like Mr. Isaac drew me, only my head is not so round" bwah! Plus the whole coversation with Nathan, which was just as funny even though I saw it in the preview. Totally looking forward to the road trip back to Vegas.

Also, I'm glad that Simone is now on board with everything, I actually enjoyed her for the first time when she geeked out at the end. If she continues to be enthuasiastic and helpful, I might have to get off her hate train. Though I have to admit that that picture of Tawny Cypress holding onto Ali Larter like they were secret lovers softened me up towards her a little.

Claire, Claire, Claire. Not only did Claire break my heart and then totally turn it around and make me smile with her awesomeness, but Hayden looked beyond gorgeous. Seriously, she was just stunning tonight. She really needs to hurry up and be eighteen already. Also, I'm glad that Zack is back in the fold, Claire needs Zack, they are bffs 4evah! Also, I kind of love the Haitain when he's around Claire, and yet again Hayden manages to have inappropriate chemistry with an older male character. They really need to get Claire and Jessica on screen together so that Hayden can use her mad chemistry powers and Ali can use her insane sexiness to bring some inappropriately hot girl!slash to the show!

Mr. Bennett rocks! I love this guy more and more. I totally dug his pwning and mockery of Matt. Anyone who mocks Matt has my undying love. Too bad Stacey Haiduk's only role on the show seems to be showing up to mock Matt. Too bad we didn't get to see Haiduk and Mr. Bennett on screen together, but the producers probably thought people would be mad is their tv melted from sexy.

I kind of love this that this show, or at least Milo and Adrian, are bringing the Petrellicest like they're the male equivalent of Xena/Gabrielle or Buffy/Faith. I mean, that's gotta be on purpose from the actors or the writers, and I love it. Bring it, guy, bring it.

Matt continues to suck.

Mohinder continues to bore (unless he's in scenes with Mr. Bennett)

Edit: OMG, I almost forgot to mention the love that is Christopher Eccleston! The "invisible man" is totally going to rock. I loved every moment he was on screen, and his crazy manhandling of Peter rocked. I cannot wait to see more of him and his shaggy!man crazy.

And I cannot wait for everyone to meet up in Vegas.

Oh thank God. I thought I was the only one. Plus, I don't get fandom's love of 'the Grunberg'. He just comes across as a doughy version of the IT guy (without the geek chic) who only wanders into your department because he heard there's reece's cups in the candy jar.

LOL! You crack me up. And while I liked Weiss on "Alias" I have no undying Grunberg love, and think that Matt sucks total ass. Hate his useless, always wrong, whiney, loser, doughy ass. I wish he'd go off in search of some reece's cups and get off my screen. Here's to hoping Mr. Bennett pwns his idiot ass permanantly.

I'm still a bit miffed that DL doesn't *get it* when it comes to Jessica/Niki, or his culpability when it comes to *why* his wife is in jail.

Oh, I know. I'm like "dude, how many times does your 10 year have to explain it to you?!?" He's seen her switch himself, and he's still all "Duh, Niki's mean sometimes. My cat likes cat food." Idiot, fuck off and die with Matt. And totally, Jessica only had to pull that shit because D.L's stupid ass plan would have gotten them all killed.

Yea, I know, Niki killed people and stuff but since a) she's really fucking hot

One of my favorite scenes was the slashy subtext between Stacy Haiduk and Clea DuVall.

Okay, that whole thing was frakking hilarious, and I will now never refer to DoughBoy as anything but!

And the fact that he's stolen screen time Stacey Haiduk is just one more reason to hate him, because while we could have been watching Stacey in her FBI power pants suits, staring at people with her crazy icy eyes while having mad chemistry with Clea, we were stuck with DoughBoy looking at things really hard and being wrong.

See, I was kinda meh on Weiss. Mainly because I figured he was just brought along to be the sexually non-threatening male friend who was supposed to make Vaughn look more butch in comparison.. and failed.

It's fortunate that Niki/Jessica is a fictional character, and even more fortunate that I'm not serving on the jury for her trial. Because I'd be all 'how can she be guilty? No one *that* hot is ever guilty!'.
