Popera at it's best! I don't know if that's a word, but it should be because it perfectly describes Mika's music. The album is full of brightly-hued melodies, awesome hooks, and lovely playfully powerful vocals. There's even a choir in some ya'll!

Seriously, if you listen to tracks like Big Girl (You are Beautiful) and Lollipop or Love Today and don't feel the need to get up and shake your groove thing, then stay away from mirrors, religious symbols, certain spices, small children, animals, and holy ground because obviously you are a soulless automaton.

(I'm only partly joking about this!)

Seriously, this is like my new favorite album and when I put it on in the morning it totally allows me to get up and face the day with a smile instead of hissing, baring my teeth and clawing at people which was my previous morning routine.

Check it out if you want, if not ... carry on ... to

Stana Katic as Hana Gitelman from the "Wireless" preview. And if I do say so myself, Stana is waaaaay hotter than her "Heroes" comic version. Though that's pretty much the case with the entire cast ... except Audrey ... and Matt ... hmmm, maybe they are perfect for each other no matter how much I hate them because they're way cooler as drawings (though just as stupid, in Audrey's case maybe more so).

Anyway, looking forward to Hanna's appearance ... and if you haven't checked out the on-line comics you totally should. They're a nice way to hold off on "Heroes" withdrawl until the next episode, lol.

I love this album, it is on constant replay everywhere since I got it: I have a copy in my car, one at home, and of course on my ipod. I haven't been in love with an album that much for quite a long time.
But I reckon I am preaching to the already converted.

Oh totally. I'm a complete devotee. I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT! I was skeptical going in because Perez Hilton whom I loath has been gushing about him, but as soon as I heard "Lollipop" I had fallen a little in love and by the end of the album I was ready to have his baby's, lol.

So good.

And I am in the process of making myself multiple copies so that I have Mika no matter where I may be as well ;)

I did not know that Perez likes Mika, but then he is a pretty boy *g*
The album is one of the very rare records that I liked after the first go, but continued to like. Usually I either like it immediately but only for a short time, or it takes me a while to like it, but then it is forever.
I just realised that pretty much sums up all my relationships as well...

2006 was not a good year regarding music IMO, but 2007 is off to a good beginning.
