Post-episode thoughts:
Kimiko (Hiro's sister) is hot. I hope she reappears, with or without powers.
Why did Jessica kill Oprah only to take a nap? Great escape plan there Jessie. Looks like Jessica doesn't make plans beyond "Jessica smash!" But it begs the question, if Niki's not the brains of the operation and Jessica's not the brains of the operation then ... JESSICA SMASH!
The license on Mr Nakamura's limo NCC 1701 = awesome!
Claude rocks. He should just spend all of his time insulting Peter and humanity in general. Loved him talking about Peter's emo bangs, and how people reveal themselves to be selfish, and deceitful and gassy in private. Oh, Claude how I love you, even with your shaggy beard and inability to walk down the street with shoving people.
Claire and mom, I'm so so on this right now. Their meeting was good, but I want to see more interaction between them. Also, I love the pyrokinetic special effects. People creating fire never gets old, plus its great for angst (*hugs Liz Sherman*)
Sylar is creepy as hell, especially with a southern accent. I find the actor to be sexy ugly though, which makes me love evil creepy Sylar.
Poor Claire's adoptive mommy. That woman is gets screwed over so much. She just has no choice but to live in happy fluffy puppy land. I wonder how many times Mr. Bennett (oh, writers not revealing his name to us with that clever ploy. You're so clever) has wiped her memory? There's just no way for her to develop like that.
I know that they've apparently de-gayed Zack, but I don't think that memo made it to whoever dressed him this episode.
Nathan is Claire's daddy! Nathan is Claire's daddy! I'd had the idea, but didn't really think they would go through with it, but ... Nathan is Claire's daddy! What is it with Petrelli's and inappropriate sexual energy? I mean, Nathan and Peter and totally in love with other, and then when Peter met Claire in Texas and even when he was talking about her this episode it's clear that he has a big honking crush on her ... and then of course there's the weird vibe between H.R.G. and Claire. This show takes R. Crumb's words about families that play together staying together seriously ya'll.
Simone is back to boring me. Isaac too. They really need to keep though two away from each other. I mean they're no where near Matt and Janice level of boring, but they're pretty close. I vote that Simone not be on screen unless she's being geeky and helpful. I want her to just be part of the gang, not part of some boringass love triangle.
I loved that they revealed the tattoo on Jessica's back a couple seconds before making the mirror review, because I was like "That's totally Jessica, that's totally Jessica .. AHHHHHH Jessica". Hee, "You're the one that wanted to be locked away". Oh Jessica, you so crazy. I wonder if Linderman knew that he would be releasing Jessica, and what he has in store for her.
Also, on the Nessica front I love how glassy eyed and teary Niki got when she was talking about listening to Little Jessica play music, and how talented she was. Little Niki totally had a crush on big sis. And once again, Ali Larter demonstrates that she has the most chemistry ... WITH HERSELF!
The Peter reveal after Claude threw him off the building was pretty cool, even if you did know it was coming as soon as he was thrown off of the building. I'm worried though because it totally has the potential to make Peter a HUGE Gary Stu. I'm sure the writers will come with some way to make it so that he can't just access the powers of everyone he's come into contact with by thinking happy thoughts about them ... at least they better!
Next week ...
Jessica galore *twirls with happiness* I love that she seems to have drafted another stripper to help her out with her evil ways. Sisters doin' it for themselves *finger snap* Also, I love Jessica forever for throwing Matt out a window. He probably won't die, but at least I get the satisfaction of seeing Matt thrown out a window with the added bonus of it being hot, powersuit Jessica.
Um, I think there was other stuff in the preview but I don't remember because I too focused squeeing about the abundance of Jessica and her kicking ass with her harem of ho's.
Rome - 2x04
Damn, damn, damn.
Okay, so I was worried about the new Octavian, but I thought that Simon Woods did an awesome job. Also, he is sexy. Octavian always had the potential to be icy sexy, but the fact that he was played by an actual teenager always made him just short of sexy ... but now, he has crossed over into being pure sex. I really want an Octavia/Octavian reunion ... as fun as Agrippa/Octavia is right now, I need my Oct/Oct back in the same room.
Servilia. Juno's cunt that was brutal. I loved that she was Servilia the whole way through the process, and just didn't Atia the satisfaction of breaking down in front of her, but hearing her screams and seeing her bloodied face and her stumbling out of the Julii household was just brutal. I can't express how much I love Lindsay Duncan, she's just so brilliant as Servilia. And then at the end when they showed Servilia all curled up and her handmaid trying to touch her and her flinching away in fear and the maid hugging her trying to comfort her. Gahhh.
Atia, I love you, you know I do but you crossed a line. Servilia tried to kill you yes, but what you had done to her was just vile. Atia is kind of dead to me after this. I mean, I don't loath her and I'm sure Polly Walker will whip out the charm and I'll be laughing at Atia's antics again soon, but there'll always be this distaste in my mouth when it comes to her now. I mean to have that done to another woman ... that fucking cold.
So glad that Pullo and Vorenus made up. I liked seeing Pullo all suave and together, being the brains of the operation when they got to the work camp, and being all subtly manipulative with his "the girls wouldn't like it though" when Vorenus wanted to kill little Lucius. And the reunion between Vorenus and the kids was well done. Kevin McKidd, dude, Kevin McKidd. That guy is intense, when Vorenus is in pain McKidd makes you FEEL IT. That last scene was just beautiful, I loved it.
Is it next Sunday yet?

Date: 2007-02-11 06:54 am (UTC)I too was thinking that exact thought while I watched the episode. Why is it every time she goes all hulkish she has to take a nap? If she had put her mind to it and applied herself she could have taken out Oprah, the door, the guards (again), and any other obsticle in her path and been home by dinner.
I just totally had a Peter Pan flashback when I read that. And then it struck me that Peter and...Peter....and...If that's how they end up making him fly I'm going to be so very pissed.
