Also I think I liked Blair/Chuck since the beginning, even without having seen the scene you're talking about. Still I have my doubts about S/D, I like both a lot but I'm not so sure if I like them together. Time will tell.

Date: 2007-11-07 04:15 am (UTC)I think it was my Waldsen block stopping me from seeing the possibilities. Thinking back on it, I remember thinking they made an awesomely delicious evil duo when they were planning Serena's demise in the third episode.
Still I have my doubts about S/D, I like both a lot but I'm not so sure if I like them together. Time will tell.
Yeah. I like both characters individually but they're just okay together. Mostly, I think it's because Blake and Penn are both pretty charismatic, but I don't buy the heat between the two characters. I think they have better friend chemistry than couple chemistry. So I don't mind watching them, but I'm not really invested in them.
Also I noticed one thing...no Waldsen?! *pouts*
There was some Waldsen bonding early in the episode and a little subtext with Blair commenting that she couldn't understand Dan wanting to wait to have sex when he was with Serena. But they were split up with separate story lines for most of the episode (which was surprising considering all Blair went through, I thought that she'd call Serena a couple times throughout the episode but she never did)
