OMG, Heroes was good!

Finally, an episode of Heroes this season that I fully liked.  I actually sat down and watched this one instead of like doing the dishes during it.

First, Ali Larter is totally underrated as an actress.  She was so good this episode.  Horrible cowgirl boots aside, Niki broke my heart.  Medicated!Niki was heartbreaking, and I was kind of cheering for her when she dumped the pills but at the same time I knew that something horribly tragic was going to result from it.    The Slutty!Gina personality was also really distinct from Jessica and Niki, and kind of fun with her "Went to L.A. Cya" messages and stripper eyemake-up. 

I also have to say, while I've never been a fan of D.L., I was digging the family this episode and how sweet he was while Niki was all medicated.  When he came to her rescue in the club, I totally didn't even realize what time it was and was almost lulled into forgetting that he was destined to die.  But when Grease!Rag glared at him from the floor, I was like "Dude, you is so dead". 

Still it kind of shocked me when it actually happened.  I think it was the splatter on Niki's face and her just kind of collapsing that did it.  Totally explains why she joined up with the company though.  I was all like "Dude, you and Jessica had an understanding" at the beginning third episode of the season, but after what Gina's little stunt caused I totally get it.

Elle FTW!  I gotta say, Elle and her sadistic ways crack me up.  She kind of reminds me of a tiny less rich Emma Frost.  But her shocking Peter all the time, and then only getting turned on by the kiss when he recoiled in pain cracked me up.  I wouldn't want to get within sight of her, but watching her sure is fun.

Finally the Charred!Man image Nathan was seeing all the time makes sense.

Angela, wtf dude?  What is it with the Petrelli's and the wrong touching?  I mean, dude, what was up with Angela's caressing of Heidi.  The camera work was all focused on it and everything.  I was like expecting them to make-out or something.  Could it be a hint of Angela's power?  Maybe she can manipulate people's emotions through touch or something like that.  Either way, that whole scene was totally gay ... and made me love Angela more.

Charred!Nathan is going to give me nightmares tonight.  Jeebus that was horrific.

Also, sucks to be Maya ... sorry Maya!   First I gotta say, the people in charge of Heroes have got to be doing the incest thing on purpose.  Seriously, Maya! looked like she was going to cut a bitch at Alejandro's wedding.  When they were walking out of the church, Maya!'s eyes totally were saying "I hate you, you bitch!  I'm gonna rip out your hair and kick you in the cunt!"  She was crazy jealous man.  Whatever, twincest aside, it totally sucks to be Maya! 

I'm totally ready for her to stop crying and embrace her evil, but it was interesting to see how things started for them. 

I take back what I said about Elle,  Maya! is the one I wouldn't want to be in the same country as.  I would take Elle and her elovetrocution any day over being anywhere near Maya (no matter how fine Dania Ramirez is).

In conclusion, I'm glad that Heroes is sucking less now ... (though honestly, I'm not looking forward to the return of West and Parkman next week.)

Yeah, she was mesmerizing. I was like "Finally they've given her something to do" and of course when they gave her screen time she knocked it out of the park. Those boots though *shakes head* Anything that distracts me from the hotness of Teh Larter needs to go!

Hell, even better than the episode is Tim Kring apologizing for the suckiness of this season and actually pointing out what was wrong. I was waiting for him to admit having Nathan, Peter *and* Sylar all survive while DL dies was also stupid but that may be asking for an actual miracle.

What's really sad? No Hiro or Claire and I didn't miss either one of them. Missed Mr. Bennett but it's not like we couldn't figure out what he's been up to. Didn't miss DoughBoy either but it's not like I ever really liked him to begin with.

Yeah. I kind of wish he had noticed these things BEFORE they started filming for the season, but at least he's not trying to pretend that everything is perfect, and as G.I. Joe though me "knowing is half the battle", so I think it's a good sign.

I know! I'm totally mourning the fact that it'll probably be like another three weeks before we get to see her do anything again. I'm so sick of boring ass West and Claire and their stupid illicit romance depriving me of Niki and Ali's awesomeness.

I'm slow/haven't been paying attention to the show much this season, so I only picked up on the mind control aspect last night. But I love the idea, and it explains who she was able to manipulate Nathan so well. Plus, the semi-molesting was good times!

I look at Elle and I think that she's what a teenage Bellatrix Lestrange must have been like (only blonde) and I totally love her for that and her generally crazy ways. Me too. The Nessica shipper in me was hurting last episode. It totally cheapens what they had together. I mean, even though Nessica was just a pipe dream, I liked that Niki and Jessica had started to work together at the end of last season, and I was hoping for them to find peace with each other, not for Niki to eradicate her. Hopefully Jessica will annihilate this Gina personality and make up with her boo. *holds on to hope*

the haitian is super fine and sexy as all hell...

I know, right! When he was fighting with Peter and chaining him up, I was like "Damn, you be good lookin!" Then I was like, imagine if that actor had been cast as D.L. and we got to see him and Ali making out and then my brain kind of exploded from the hotness.

But I totally love me some Haitian, rowr

Dude I am so in love with your blog now. Before, I just came by to check out the fanfiction, but I've been reading some of your "reviews" and they are hilarious. I totally agree on the Heroes no longer sucking, I wasn't keeping up with it after my brother told me "it's soaring...just like the Hindenburg." However, I did watch the new ep and all the old one we had recorded. I was a little creeped out by that scene with Angela and the daughter-in-law, even my brother picked up on the gayness of it.

When I saw Maya in the nun getup and then the bleeding eyes, I felt like I was watching one of the Exorcist movies, all I needed was for her to start puking. Anyway, I still love Maya, and yeah, sucks to be her.

So while it's not up to par when compared to last season, Heroes is doing a whole lot better. Still, too many characters to really give a crap about. That Irish girl that got deported...I shed no tears. Anyway, thanks for amusing posts.
