...there is no other way to explain how they keep casting people that make me want to tune in and watch that shit. Last year it was the Lokinator and how it's Patricia Velasquez!

Patricia Velasquez (Arrested Development, The Mummy) has been cast in the fifth season of The L Word. Velasquez will play "BegoƱa," a character whose storyline includes the subject of immigration. She indicated that her character would be introduced at the end of the upcoming season and would later be developed into a main character if The L Word is renewed for a sixth season.

WARNING: (MORE) L WORD RANTING AHEAD!

The only good thing about this is that it seems like I won't have to start watching until near the end of the season unlike the Paige storyline that caused me to watch and suffer through pretty much the whole season last year. I can't wait to see how the address the immigration plot line it's sure to be tasteful and well written *rolls eyes* But goddamn if Patricia is fine as hell, and gay too *swoons*

...the reason I am obsessed by The Mummy Returns

Jesus Christ, the fucking L Word. Devil show! *is so gonna watch the Patrica episodes*

God damn all to hellllll!

Urgh! Just urgh! I feel like The L Word is like an abusive spouse. They lure back with promises to be good, to not hurt you ever again, with their charm and cuteness, but once they have you back, they hurt you again and you hate yourself for being suckered back in, but you stick around hoping it will get better.

I'm totally watching too... even though I should just call the cops and report this sort of pattern of abuse.

Ohh, she is bringing more of the pretty to the The L Word which is much appreciated since that show has pretty much sucked since Season 3. Or maybe it always sucked? I dunno. I just keep returning for Leisha Hailey's insane cuteness each year.

And dude, L Word is SO an abusive spouse. lol. Which is why the evil mean part of me gets happy when I find out other people are forced to get hit too. But if you must watch be prepared for the awful. Spoilers about Helena in orange alone have me shivering in fear.

So much pretty. Pretty all over the place with Patricia.

The show as always sucked though. Always. The first season was the least painful, and there were some enjoyable elements in it, but the show has always sucked. I have never sat through an episode of the L Word without cringing, and turning my head away from the screen and generally feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed for the people on screen.

It sucks so hard. I'm constantly astonished by how bad it is.

You know they're going to play this for comedy, and I shudder to think about how NOT funny it's going to end up being.

This is the perfect description! This is totally what it feels like. And every time you go back you're disgusted with yourself for you lack of willpower but you just can't help it.

AGRH! Devil show! The thing is I KNOW what type of pain I'm setting myself up for but ... Patricia *cries* I was just lamenting a couple months ago that it's been AGES since I've seen her in anything and I need my Velasquez fix *cries more*
