Summary: Angie and Rex share some quality time together before
*Note* Rex (Sigourney Weaver) is the News Director for GNN and Angie (Zoe Saldana) is a field correspondent. Short fic, but I just couldn't resist slashing them. They were so totally secret lovers.

“You can’t just say whatever you feel like on air,” Rex sighed as she leaned against the back of the couch, her hand lifting gracefully to bring a small glass filled with amber liquid and a single ice-cube up to her lips.
“I shouldn’t,” Angie corrected smiling playfully as she kicked her heels off and moved further into the living room, a lively bounce to her step as she approached Rex. “I can do lots of things … there’re just some things I shouldn’t,” she continued lowering herself on top of Rex, straddling her waist. “This for instance,” Angie continued bending down, pressing her lips against Rex’s, kissing her slowly and deeply, her lips curving up against the older woman’s when Rex moaned into her mouth.
“You think you’re so charming,” Rex murmured when Angie pulled back from her lips, her fingers brushing against the woman’s flawless chocolate skin as she looked up at her.
Angie was still smiling at her rakishly.
“You seem to find me charming enough,” Angie responded leaning down, her lips brushing against Rex’s cheek. “Women between the ages of 18 and 35, and men between the ages of birth and death seem to find me pretty charming too,” she continued before brushing her lips against Rex’s once more, “If your statistics count for anything.”
“The network isn’t going to pay your fine next time,” Rex said as Angie shifted, sliding off of her and onto the couch.
“That’s what you said last time,” Angie responded stretching, her toes pointing forward like a ballerina’s as she rested her head against the pillows propped against the arm of the couch and then lowered her feet into Rex’s lap.
“One of these times it’ll be true,” Rex said smiling over at Angie before she leaned forward to rest her drink on the coffee table, careful to keep Angie’s feet secure in her lap as she did.
“The truth hurts … financially” Angie intoned, her voice trailing off into a satisfied purr a moment later as Rex’s fingers began to dig into the sole of her feet, massaging them expertly. “I’ll consider it a badge of honor.”
“You’re impossible,” Rex said lightly continuing to massage Angie’s feet, enjoying the soft sounds of contentment the younger woman was making.
“You wouldn’t want me any other way,” Angie replied, her smile raffish as she gazed at Rex.
Rex smiled. Angie was right. She loved every troublesome inch of her.
Angie lifted her feet from Rex’s lap and swung them over the side of the couch onto the floor. A second later she smoothly slid off of the couch and began to swagger away from Rex.
“Where are you going?” Rex asked even though she knew exactly where Angie was headed.
“Bed,” Angie responded turning to look over her shoulder. “There are other places I want your hands,” she drawled slowly, her lips curving up in a delicious smile, “and the couch isn’t nearly big enough.”
With that Angie then continued on her way out of the room.
Rex watched her sashay the entire way out of the room and then leaned forward and picked up her drink before rising to her feet as well.
Rex smiled to herself and then lazily made her way towards the bedroom, the ice cube in her drink clinking rhythmically against the glass as she walked.
Her job was too stressful, the hours were too long, her blood pressure was too high, she hadn’t had a vacation in years, her bastard ex-husband was taking her to court to continue his alimony payments, and next month she had to renegotiate her contract with the network, but despite all that Rex Brooks was quite certain that she was the luckiest woman in the world.
