Is anyone else ...
Jul. 1st, 2008 09:43 pmwatching In Plain Sight?
This show is freaking hilarious, and I've totally gotten hooked (to the point where I'm trying to get my hands on Mary's cross-over episode with L&O:CI - though I suspect she won't be as hilarious and sassy in that).
The only thing I don't like about it is Lesley Ann Warren (but then again I NEVER like Lesley Ann Warren).
Mary is almost too sarcastic to function (which means I love her to an insane degree), and she totally studied at the Olivia Benson school of Hot!Cops. They should cloth her in nothing but jeans and tight tops (or in nothing at all).
Fred Weller is comedy gold. His delivery of simplest lines cracks me up. I also cannot believe that that man is 42 years old. He's not just aging like a fine wine, he's NOT aging like a vampire or something. Seriously, Marshall is dreamy.
Is is just me or does Nicole Hiltz (aka Brandi) look a lot like Ashley Scott? I think she looks like Ashley Scott which makes me predisposed to like her (though I must admit Brandi becomes more likeable with every episode - especially when she isn't burdened with scenes with Lesley Ann Warren)
Also, is it just me or do Mary and Brandi have more chemistry with each other than they do with either of their "love interests"? Seriously, they bicker like an old married couple. It's presh. *sobs* DAMN YOU IN PLAIN SIGHT FOR PULLING AN ALIAS AND MAKING THE HOT CHICKS RELATED! *sobs more because I don't think I can actually slash them ... well, maybe if they were both drunk*

Date: 2008-07-02 02:20 am (UTC)Very true. His "I needed to decide for myself" talk would have had more impact later on in the season because we would have gotten to see more of this type of behavior from Mary.
Also, I wasn't worried about him dying because I SIMPLY REFUSED TO BELIEVE IT WAS A POSSIBILITY! After their "you're my only friend" conversation my brain would not accept that anything could come between their perfect platonic partnership. Seriously, I love them together.
::blinks:: He's 42? Does not compute!
Oh I know. I actually had to get out my calculator and calculate it, because I thought that my math HAD to be wrong. Also, he's Robocop's cousin! How cool is that?
It's probably because they're bothering to expand her beyond 'ditzy, screwup sister'
Very true. And I'm so happy, because I didn't want to be annoyed by the eye candy (I've developed a girlcrush on Nicole Hiltz). They just best not have her sleep with Chico (I can't remember the character's real name). I liked their interaction this week, but it will kill some of Brandi love if she sleeps with the man that proposed to her sister.
Does make me wonder if they've dropped the 'giant bag of coke' that was in the pilot.
I certainly hope so. Mary's personal life doesn't need any more drama. I also don't want Mary's family taking up too much screen time. I liked how Brandi and Chico were used this week (that's just the right amount of time) and if she gets a real side story it'll be too much (and probably very annoying).
