...and I'm kind of underwhelmed so far.

The only thing I really want to say after having watched the first episode is:

1.  Was anyone else thinking EMMA fucking FROST when Niki first showed up on screen?  I always kind of thought Ali would make a sweet Emma Frost, and that shot of her just cemented the thought in my mind.  So hot and badass.

2.  Angela Petrelli is awesome.  When she manhandled faux!Peter I wanted to have her babies.  Seriously, I would so [Tracey Jordan]take her out behind the Country Club and get her pregnant![/Tracey Jordan]

Also, at least we know what her power is now.

Oh, and Maya was much less annoying than usual this episode.  I was actually able to appreciate Dania's insane hotness because of this.

More after the second episode ... maybe ...

Although I have to admit I was only partially paying attention to the show. Then again, the fact that I was only partially paying attention to it probably says something about how much it grabbed me in the first few minutes.

like i had to touch myself agree w/ #2!!

So, while watching the episode I asked myself 'what is hotter than an angry Angela Petrelli?' and now I have my answer.

hot brown people sex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was mothereffing hot, I gotta admit. That scene alone gave Maya and Mohinder a reason for existing. Although now that he's all boil-y and probably turning into some kind of lizard creature, I don't think it'll be as hot anymore. Oh well, at least Maya got to do him while he was still pretty.

and a fuckin' reverse vader.

I loved that because it was Angela Petrelli, but when I think about it, the idea of this is kind of stupid. I'll wait to see how it plays out, but mostly I'm just on board with this storyline because it means more Angela.

I was actually pleasantly surprised. After the mess of season 2 this was definitely an upgrade.
I enjoyed the second one more but that probably had to do with my fondness of Elle. The twists were nice if not a bit predictable.

The second one was definitely better. Moar Niki/Jessica/whatever her name is now helped with that as well.

First episodes of new seasons are usually not the greatest, so I'll stick with it for a few more episodes, and hopefully it'll grab my attention again.

I think the bad taste of season 2 is still lingering in my mouth, and I'm afraid to trust the show again, lol

Still haven't watched the second half but, yeah, totally underwhelmed. I'm so fucking sick of the Petrelli boys (is every season going to end with one of them dying only to be resurrected the next season?), Sylar (can he go away now?) and Mohinder being dumb as a box of hair.

I want to love this show, really I do. But then they have episodes like this that just remind me of why I started to hate Heroes to begin with.

The second ep better rock my socks off or this show is going straight to torrent status.

Yep, if people wanted to hear my personal opinion of Heroes, I would tell them that I think it sucks. I watched it at first but it's just not that interesting or coherent. For most of the folks on screen, I can't relate to them, they don't evoke any kind of feeling in me. Things like Sylar gets dragged eternally and never really properly sent off. Things have to have an end.

Trufax. The first season wasn't so bad with this, I was still actually into it then. But the second season highlighted everything that was wrong with it, and so far S3 is looking like more of S2. I mean, it's possible that I'm being overly harsh because I HATED last season too much, and I'm just not ready to like the show again, but I don't know. Bored is bored, you know.

So true. The Sylar things bothers me endlessly. I really liked him in Season 1 and now I loathe him. I don't hate him with the same intensity that I hated Spike after season 5 of Buffy (my hatred for Spike - after Season 5 - is legendary and still going strong), but I am really, really, disliking Sylar.

I don't know. The showrunners just don't seem to know how to tell a decent story or follow it through to the end. It's all "Ooh ooh, THIS would be cool!" with them. And they throw a bunch of shit at you, but after the first look you're like "okay, what now?" and they just kind of stare at you blankly before going, "But it's COOL!"

*sigh*

I'm so fucking sick of the Petrelli boys (is every season going to end with one of them dying only to be resurrected the next season?)

Oh, I know. I'm especially fucking tired of Peter. Nathan, I can handle, but every time Peter is on screen a part of me dies a little. Hate, hate, hate the character. And his fucking Barry Stu powers aren't helping, matters. It's like, facial scarring doesn't make you any less of an annoying douche, Pete.

Sylar (can he go away now?)

Oh, I know. First season I loved Sylar. Last season I was over him. And now he just plain annoys me. The character had his run, and they've more than ran him into the ground. It's just kinda painful now.

and Mohinder being dumb as a box of hair.

*sigh* Mohinder is lucky he's pretty. He really is just too dumb for words.

But then they have episodes like this that just remind me of why I started to hate Heroes to begin with.

I know. The premise is so good, and yet the actuality of it is ... boring.

Heh. You're probably going to be torrenting it. The second episode was better, but it didn't come close to rocking my socks, let alone rocking them off.

'Save Yourself, Save The World'. Really? Seriously? That's your theme for the season? I would have rather watched the alternate timeline because that sounds a helluva lot more intriguing than Season 1 ver. 3.0.

The second ep, imo, was better than the first but I actually disliked it *more*. I was hoping after the first hour, which was all about the male characters, the second hour would be all about the female characters. Sadly, I got my wish. So, let me get this straight, Claire gets 'metaphorically raped', Elle gets fired after being responsible for the worst mutants eVaH escaping, Niki is a power-mongering whore, Angela is now the birth mother of Peter, Nathan AND fucking Sylar and MAYA!! is, well, MAYA!! It's like they learned *nothing* from the complaints regarding season two. Because, apparently, you really can't have *too* many female victims.. with super powers.

What really disappoints me is the show's insistence that Heroes must at all costs revolve around Peter. And I'm like, you have a cast of twelve hundred, surely someone *else* could get to be the uber-hero once and a while. Never mind the fact that since Peter's a dumbass he sets the whole apocalypse in motion.

They really should have let Claire plug a hole in his head.

And, God, don't get me started on Matt! Did we really need to spend so much fucking time watching him meander about in the desert?

I missed some parts of the premiere, but seriously... all I need to say is, Elle rocks my socks, like, so hard. Mainly just cuz K. Bell is smokin' hot and makes me happy in my pants. lolz.

I'm kind of hoping that Elle will join forces with the good guys (i.e. Claire) now that her pop is taking a dirt nap with Baby Jesus.

Just say with me... Elle and Claire hot loving... Fembuck writing Elle and Claire hurt/angst/sexin' love

Angela is the queen of awesomeness, she just such a bad ass in ways that no other characters are. Her power is not her crutch to greatness, she is great.. the powers are just a bonus.

The one scene that I really enjoyed for the excellent acting was the scene with momma bennett and firestarter mommie... Momma Bennett is totally not impressed with this idea at all, you can totally tell. I can't wait to see Claire has two mommies.

Three other things... Elle's angst considering the last conversation she had with her father, Bell played the scene so well I just wish they had played it out for longer than the quick scene it was.

Daphne is kinda cute in a spunky monkey way, you can tell she's be trouble to date but wow what I rid it would be. lol

Angela and Elle interaction was awesome as well, Elle's pain about being abandoned and on her own was conveyed with such subtlety.

I don't have super high expectations on Heroes anymore, I just enjoy what I get out of it.

But totally, we need some more chicks cause this is getting a bit ridiculous. Not one of the people who escaped level 5 was a woman? It's all those crazy Peterelli fangirls I tell you. Ruining it for everyone.

Bring back Bryan Fuller... oh wait I love Pushing up daises.. um... damn.
