or does anyone else who watches Fringe like to pretend that Rachel isn't actually Olivia's sister, but is instead her wife, and that Ella is their child together?

I mean, this weeks episode was just brimming with domestic bliss.  Olivia being woken up by an adorable little munchkin, and coming home to someone who will listen to what a crappy day she had, and who understands when she has to leave at the drop of a dime after one of her secret calls...

If I was watching on mute, I totally would have thought Olivia was a gay 'mo, and that Rachel was her life partner and that Ella was GayMo Potard their love child.

Anyone?  Anyone?  Bueller?

In any case, I don't care.  It makes me happy to think that Gay!Alex is now Gay!Olivia, and Gay!Olivia is even more awesome because she gets to carry a gun, beat people up, and is absolutely precious with little children.  Seriously, maternal!Olivia is almost as sexy as beating-people-up-in-a-cemetary!Olivia.

*Sigh*  I hope this show doesn't get canceled.  It's really starting to come together.  Anna's finally at ease in the role, which consequently means that Olivia has become one sexy bastard.  I want more than one season of watching her kick ass and look good while doing it!

Thankfully, this is one of the few shows that doesn't have to worry about cancellation. Plus it has American Idol as a lead-in. *sigh* If only FOX had done the same things with Sarah Connor (limited commercials, ratings mega-giant lead-in) I wouldn't be biting my nails wondering if there's gonna be a season three!

I hope so. I thought I'd heard some speculation about it being in trouble earlier this week, but I'd be more than happy if that was just some feverish nightmare.

I really, really want there to be. I LOVE that show so much. But I think there's like next to no chance of it being renewed. The move to Friday night I think really just killed the rating, which is a shame since the show as been AWESOME since coming back from hiatus.

I can see what you mean, but to me they've always been just family, and that fills my heart with joy. Her sister and her sister's kid are what keep Anna's turbulent world afloat at the moment, something for her to hold on to when the going gets rough. If they weren't sisters though, they might as well be married.

Anna has definitely always been hot in my books, even if her acting seemed "wooden" to some in the beginning. If they would pair her up with a woman her acting might not be so "wooden". She was damn great in Mistresses with Shelley Conn IMO.

This is all I'm saying. I like how relaxed Olivia is with the sister and daughter, and I think the two of them bring out a lovable, human side of Olivia that was absent at the beginning of the season. The actresses just come off really, really gay when they are on screen together!

This. Anna seems to play really well off other women. Even when she was wooden at the beginning of the season, her interactions with Nina were always good, much more relaxed. Anna Torv seems to fall into the Angie Harmon, Eliza Dushku mold of straight!actresses who come off really, really gay on screen - like always!

For some reason, I can't write sister slash for these two. Most of the time, I'm like "Siblings...whatever, I'll femslash it!" But I think that because they come actress so sugary sweet on screen that I can't incest it up.

Maybe an AU drabble, where Rachel is like her old girlfriend from university who came to stay with her for a while, and they totally reconnect while Rachel is crashing with her.

Olivia's the older sister, and so I think the Rachel!actress is going for 'adoring' looks, like she's so impressed with how awesome her sister is. But the adoring looks are coming out more "Goddamn, you are fucking dreamy. I want to touch you all over".

I know! Just imagining this scenario makes the show so much better for me. If it was actually true, I would defend this show to the death. Like, just one scene an ep. of Olivia at home in a scene of domestic bliss, or where her lesbian life partner supports her, and it's just like this normal thing and doesn't need a PSA episode or anything would make me SO happy.

I'm sure Walter is capable of creating a machine that would allow people to travel between alternate realities. A reality in which Olivia's sister is her lover. Imagine Olivia coming home and instead of being greeted with "hey sis how was your day", she's greeted with a passionate kiss and whispered promise of whats to come later.

OHLOLOL! I've only watched one episode of Fringe, mind you, but in that ONE EPISODE, the interaction and chemistry between this family unit had me thinking one prominent thought.
