T: SCC - 2x22 - Born to Run
Apr. 12th, 2009 03:55 pmI will not be able to function if this is the last episode ever of the series! This show is amazing! And the ending was WAY TOO MUCH OF A MIND FRAK for that to be it. I need more! I need lots more!!! Cause ... daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn! I mean I say this every week, but this show is soooo good. It's sooooo good.
What the fucking fuck? Derek's alive????
No one knows who John Connor is (cause he jumped over Judgement Day and therefore never got a chance to form the resistence and become the Big Man)????
Was that Cameron or pre-Cameron (a.k.a Allison from Palmdale)? It has to be Allison otherwise the dog would have freaked out when she was near it, which is probably what John realized which is why his face fell.
What's Kyle doing there? Without John Connor being John Connor in the future obvious Kyle wasn't sent back to knock up Sarah, but the paradoxes make my head hurt! John is standing there, and yet in this timeline he can't exist!!! And where did Weaver go?
AND WHY DIDN'T SARAH GO WITH HIM??? She said she would change things, and obviously she fucking did (maybe with Dyson's son, Danny, who went missing?), but I didn't understand what her reasoning for not time jumping was - does she think the initial time jump to 2007 made her sick? Why would she choose to be separated from John?
Where's John Henry? Why did Cameron give him her chip? Did she decided to join them? And if so what does that even really mean? Is he the new Big Man to this new timeline of resistence fighters? Or is Danny the new Messiah? There has to be a reason that they specifically mentioned Danny in this episode.
What are the T-1000s up to? I'm mean, Weaver's a good guy? fer srs???
OMG, the sky is falling. Silent!Hot!Girl speaks! Seriously, you have no idea how happy I was to see Silent!Hot!Girl again. I didn't realize how much I missed her (and her flirtation with Cameron) until I saw her again. AND SHE SPOKE! And it was good. Cameron's hasta luego to her at the end, and her almost smirk made me really happy. It's making me think Hot!Girl is maybe someone who became important in the resistence later on and Cameron knew her, cause they've seemed to have a weird bond the whole time. Either that or they've secretly been doing it at night when Cameron's not playing with birds or cutting herself open in the shed.
Shirly Manson makes walking away from burning stuff LOOK GOOD. Seriously, her badass Weaver strut is fantastic. Also, I think Giant!Flying!Squirrel Weaver is awesome. That shield she made was badass.
ALL I HAVE ARE QUESTIONS FOX! I NEED THIS SHOW TO COME BACK! I NEED YOU TO GIVE ME A 2-HOUR MOVIE! BUT I NEED SOME OF THESE QUESTIONS ANSWERED GODDAMMIT!!!!

Date: 2009-04-16 01:29 am (UTC)everyone episode.theories.
Date: 2009-04-12 10:12 pm (UTC)my take on this is that john appearing in the future IS how he's able to lead the resistance. it isn't necessary for john to create the resistance, only that he unify and lead it. with weaver, he has unimaginable knowledge of skynet, tactics, etc. paired with his own knowledge and abilities, he will grow into the future!john we are led to believe in.
Was that Cameron or pre-Cameron (a.k.a Allison from Palmdale)?
definitely agree that it's allison.
What's Kyle doing there? Without John Connor being John Connor in the future obvious Kyle wasn't sent back to knock up Sarah, but the paradoxes make my head hurt! John is standing there, and yet in this timeline he can't exist!!!
kyle exists because he isn't yet the man who fathers john. when dekker!john jumps to the future, kyle reese is just a regular guy fighting the machines. as dekker!john grows into future!john the events that lead to his birth will fall into place: he will delibrately befriend kyle and send him back in time to protect/get it on with sarah. :)
AND WHY DIDN'T SARAH GO WITH HIM???
the future is where john fights the machines, not sarah. sarah's mission has always been rooted in the present, pre-JD. her whole life is dedicated to preparation and prevention: jumping forward means she failed. and sarah would rather die fighting to prevent skynet than jump forward to live in a post-apocalyptic world, the very existence of which is the result of her failure to stop skynet in the first place.
but i've got no clue on the danny dyson reference. that agent guy says he's been missing, so i imagine that season three (if we get one) would revolve around sarah finding him, etc. i have a hard time imagining a third season at all, to be honest. how can they proceed
without cameron!with the main characters split across the timeline - the paradoxes would be endless! how could we see both the sarah's "present" and her "future"/john's "present" without it being supremely confusing?Where's John Henry? Why did Cameron give him her chip?
JH needed to be mobile in order to jump - cam's chip allowed him to do that. but is it still "JH" in that body or is it "cameron" in that body now? JH is/was a product of the turk, given manifestation through the body that previously housed cromartie, just as cameron is a construct of her brain/chip, manifested through a female endoskeleton. so, JH must have downloaded himself into cameron's chip or something, in order to jump forward intact. i'm not sure about the whole "will you join us?" thing though, because we're not given any indication of where JH might be hiding or if this is even part of weaver's plan. maybe JH is going AWOL or something.
OMG, the sky is falling. Silent!Hot!Girl speaks!
i almost died when the door opened and it was her. and when she talked i think my heart actually stopped, lol. everything about that scene was gold. there is definitely something we don't know between her and cameron.
they've secretly been doing it at night when Cameron's not playing with birds or cutting herself open in the shed.
and i really, really hope it was this.
to me, this episode feels like the end of t:scc. and i think it's a good end. we're left with questions, but it's set up enough that we can see how the future, i.e. the events of T1 and T2, could logically progress from this point forward. so i'm thankful for that. even if they did kill cameron
again.Re: theories.

Date: 2009-04-12 10:18 pm (UTC)They probably won't announce cancellation until May, but I heard they tore down the set weeks ago. Shirley Manson is in Scotland having surgery, Brian Austen Green has another project going on, Lena Heady and Thomas Decker are both directing low-budget films. And Summer is supposedly going to be on location filming. Though, the only project I think Summer has actually confirmed was a short Ballet film called "The Serving Girl" directed by Joss Whedon.

This! I was like "Whaaat?" They can't just end it there. Who is going to save the world if John Conner doesn't exist?!
Cameron's hasta luego to her at the end, and her almost smirk made me really happy.
I loved their scene together!
Silent!Hot!Girl (otherwise known as Chola or Sabrina Perez) I'm pretty sure is in film school in LA. She was supposed to be in only one episode but Summer really enjoyed working with her and they asked her back.
Shirly Manson makes walking away from burning stuff LOOK GOOD.
True facts.

Have you ever noticed that Cameron walks like a dressage horse? I think that was supposed to be Allison because I don't think she had the walk going on in that scene.
I shall sincerily miss
seeing Cameron randomly walk around in her undiesthe showno subject
Date: 2009-04-14 08:05 pm (UTC)Check out the official blog (http://www.fox.com/blogs/terminator/) for more news and goodies tho. They have comments from writers about episodes, BTS vids and stuff.
Also, I'm not sure how influential this would be, but vote for TSCC at E!Online's
Save One Show (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b107874_save_one_show_help_your_fave_see.html) poll. We really need a season 3.
