I don't know. It's just a naked body, although a pretty one. I wish people weren't such freaks about nudity, it's how people look if they have no clothing in their natural state. IMO she has nothing to be ashamed off. But this will still complicate things for her career-wise.

Really, it's not the naked body that makes me say 'poor thing'. I too think that people in North America are really overly sensitive about people seeing naked bodies. It's not that big a deal. Like the Janet Jackson 'Nipple-Gate' thing pissed me off. It was a split second shot of a nipple, the world will not end.

With Ashley, what bothers me about the pictures is that she didn't CHOOSE to release them, and she didn't know before taking them that millions of people would see them.

Obviously she doesn't have a problem with nudity or else she wouldn't have taken/had some take noodz of her, but she probably only intended for a one person or a select group of people to see them. They were private pictures and should have stayed that way.

If she'd signed on for nudity in a film knowing millions of people would see it, that'd be different. That's a conscious choice. In this case someone has either stolen her shit to make money, or someone she was close to has violated her trust, which sucks.

But this will still complicate things for her career-wise.

I don't know if it will really. I mean, SMeyer might get her knickers in a knot, but I'm sure that three movies into a four movie deal Ashley doesn't have to worry about the Twilight franchise. I mean, KStew was caught smoking up (another issue the media strangely makes a big deal out of) and nothing happened to her.

And, the pictures weren't sexual in nature, so I don't think that it'll really effect her otherwise. If it was a raunchy sex tape the 'scandal' would probably linger around her for a while, but it's just a couple really vanilla nude shots that people are likely to forget about/not really care about in a few days.

*looking at glass as half full* It might even help her break into some more mature roles, and I guess there's no reason to avoid nudity on film now so it could even expand the types of roles she's willing to take on.
