I just watched this (thanks [livejournal.com profile] seriousfic !)

and now I need to get my ass in gear and watch Legend of the Seeker.  Because I will be tuning in to see Cordelia Chase in tight leather getting thrown into hot tubs and making out with other women.  I will.  But I'd also like to know what the hell is going on in the rest of the show before I do.

I cannot wait for V: The Series!  I just watched the first eight minutes and I wants moar!  Seriously, teasing me with a hint of Morena Baccarin at the end of the clip was just mean.  I want more of that Brazilian hotness.  And of course, it is not possible for Elizabeth Mitchell to be on my screen too much.  I just hope that Scott Wolf doesn't curse this show like he has everything else he's been on, excluding Party of Five.  I want Morena and Elizabeth and Lourdes Benidicto on my screen for as long as possible!

Hollows fans! You must check out [livejournal.com profile] seriousfic 's Life for a Rachel/Ivy shipper.  It is truth.

Jessica Szhor hasn't found a girl to be as gay with as Bleighton are, but I do appreciate that gurlfrien' keeps trying.  If Jessica wants to cozy up to any number of attractive young women, cuddle them and gaze lovingly into their eyes then I'm all for it!  Go gurl!  Keep eye-sexing til you find the Leighton to your Blake.

This one's not particularly gay (other than how it makes me feel) but it is hot!

I honestly feel like Eva Green is some sort of magical creature, like an Elf.  It is the only thing that explains how enchanting and ethereal she is.  Every time I see her I just want to sigh dreamily (no wonder I liked Radfield so much, lol)

Also, the way Eva Green bites her lip when she starts talking about Jordan Scott made me swoon.  I said it before, and I'll say it again, I ship it like I'm getting paid!

I've caught up on The Good Wife and I'm loving it.  I'm harboring a hard!core girl-crush on Julianna Margulies, right now (and waiting somewhat anxiously for a femslash fandom to emerge for the show).

Has anybody seen A Perfect Getaway with Milla Jovovich?  I just watched it and I really liked it, but I can't tell if it's actually good or not.  I sometimes really like bad movies, and I don't want this to be one of the bad ones I inexplicably like cause I want to recommend it to people.

Also, I love Milla forever for always managing to bring the gay.  I swear to god I thought that she and Kiele Sanchez were gonna make out in almost all their scenes together.  In fact, I had a dream they did and the next morning I was convinced that it was actually part of the movie.

And finally ...

I watched Where the Wild Things Are and is was soawesomeamazinggreat!

I was like this by the end of it.  Seriously, when the credits rolled I was in tears (in a good way).  I highly, highly, highly recommend it.

*le sigh*

And now it's back to work ... :(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's the TV series that has Bridget Regan and awesome hair and Charisma Carpenter and the Xena people camping it up! The books are all creepy masturbating to Ayn Rand! Turn back! TURN BACK!

These are all things that I greatly enjoy. In fact, hearing that Xena people were involved (plus that video you posted) is what finally has got me downloading the series. In fact, I just finished the pilot.

I already want to have Kahlan's babies.

The books are all creepy masturbating to Ayn Rand!

You must explain this comment to me, because it's making me giggle but I have no idea what it means!

Have you ever played Bioshock? Basically, the author is this huge Objectivist, to the point of believing the ends always always always justify the means (given how many Communist straw men he hates on, you have to wonder about the irony). So our heroes do stuff like kick young children in the teeth, slaughter peaceful protesters, and threaten their enemies with gang rape. Since they're that dickish, the only real way to make the villains worse is to show them as rapists and child molesters, which the books run with like a football. There's more rape in this book series than in all the anime Japan has ever made.

Fortunately, the TV series was put together by people who can pass a Sanity Check, so they cut out all of that crap and give the heroes some perspective and actual morality. Without all the speechifying and political straw men, there's plenty of time for slow-motion fight scenes and Kahlan's hair. Thus, everyone wins!

Oh ... my ... god ...

Thank you for that link. I was entertaining the idea of reading these books BUT NO MORE! Everything about them sounds fucking horrifying. Not only that, but sanctimonious and horrifying. Not only that but sanctimonious, ridiculous and horrifying.

I mean, endless rapes and gang-rapes (and monster cock rapes) are enough for me to never pick up the series ever, but having to read about people painting themselves white and pretending to be ghosts and fighting chicken creatures as well? No thank you.

Thank god for the Xena people and their camp! I'll stick with the TV show.

*is creeped out and disturbed*
