Valentine to Return in Resident Evil: Afterlife? 

Paul W.S. Anderson promised fans a few familiar faces would definitely be returning for Resident Evil: Afterlife. Ali Larter has returned as Claire Redfield, then there is Spencer Locke's K-Mart. From the video game series? Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller) and Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts).

Well, how about Jill Valentine? That's right. Star Milla Jovovich dropped a Tweeter via her Twitter account earlier today that said: "Valentine MAY be back."

We haven't seen that character on the screen since Sienna Guillory played her in Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Insiders told me during Resident Evil: Extinction's production that Guillory didn't return over contract disputes. Is the actress back or have they re-cast Valentine? We'll see.

Jovovich also had something to say about Afterlife's undead today. "The zombie makeup is exceptionally good now, they're rocking it over at prosthetics. But depending on the zombie and what happens to them, sometimes they add stuff to them in post."

Jill never died, so it's perfectly reasonable she'd be back. In fact, I was super pissed they never even mentioned her in the third movie.

I haven't read the novelization of RE: Extinction. I'm all for more Jill in my life, but by reading list is far too long already. Hopefully I'll get to fix my Jill craving with the next movie!

Agree with you on the Seven thing. And after watching the pilot of Seeker last night, you've also got me addicted. Although it sort of feels like a better version of Eragon at the moment. Wonder what the books are like.

And after watching the pilot of Seeker last night, you've also got me addicted.

Yay! It's super awesome isn't it? And Cara is a wonderful addition to the cast. I'm literally jittering with excitement for tonights episode.

Wonder what the books are like.

I've heard they're a lot darker than the show. The thing that's keeping me away honestly is that I've heard there's tons, and I mean tons of raping in the books. And the Objectivist philosophy of the characters in the books doesn't really appeal to me. I like that Richard and Kahlan and Zedd are clearly good guys on the show. I don't want to read about them torturing people, threatening to rape people and kicking little girls in the face (even if it IS Princess Violet) because 'the ends justify the means'.

But, I haven't actually read more than a hundred pages of the series, so I'm not an expert. The series is very popular, and quite a few people on my f-list like it so ...

Hmm, well that would put me off too. Though in adult fantasy it's almost a convention. I remember my dad giving me a book full of short stories with dragons in them when I was ten and he obviously didn't read it beforehand.

Though to have the 'good guys' doing that would be...intriguing. I always love to question why people follow a certain side. But yeah, rapes. Thanks for the info.

I knew she was on it. Voyager had a good idea. Two enemy factions who had to join forces to survive in an unknown region. The execution was laughable. They came together too quickly and were too nice to each other. Some of the plans they come up with were really dumb. Don't get me started on the Borg kids. After that, I tried to wipe out as much as I can remember from the show. That is why my mind has selective memory of Star Trek.

SOOOOOO i just got into this show and then of course i had to come back and read all your posts on it.

after a certain adorable head quirk, i've decided that cara reminds me of kristanna loken in t3. the robotic/quirky "i don't know how to process emotions", the kick-assery, hell even the outfit!

so now i keep watching it and pretending she's a bbloken. and it's wonderful.


(also side note about jill... milla also said that sienna is the ONLY valentine so... :fingers crossed:!!!!)
