Date: 2009-11-17 08:32 pm (UTC)From what I understand, in the books Mord'Sith can't be confessed. Because the nature of a Confessors power is love and the nature of a Mord'Sith's power is hate, the Confessor's power would kill a Mord'Sith.
The show must be operating under a different set of rules though, because Kahlan moved to confess Cara once to get info. already, and Cara wouldn't offer to be confessed as penance if it was going to kill her.
So, I guess the show must just be taking a line that a Confessors power, is something a Mord'Sith can't steal/use against them, though why that would be I have no idea.

I think the show must be ignoring the 'Confessor's powers kill Mord'Sith' part of book canon though, because otherwise Kahlan wanting to confess Cara to get info out of her in the season premiere would make no sense since the process would kill Cara before she could give them any info.
