I will admit, I had my doubts about this movie with all the wank going on about the casting and whatnot, but after seeing this:

I want to go to there.

I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE TO COME OUT!

That little boy is badass!  I mean, shiiiiiiiit!  I would love to offer something more insightful, but whenever I think about this trailer I just start squeeing and stand up and pretend I'm bending things in my room, because I want to live in this trailer.

When people are all, 'slut can't act' about her.  However, Megan's most notable roles being Transformers and Transformers 2 has thwarted my attempts to convince people to give her a chance.

I'm reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series now, and I'm really enjoying the books.  They're fun, fast reads, and I love Greek Mythology so it's a blast reading about all of the Gods/Goddesses, the Titans and all of the mythological creatures.  It just disturbs me that in the books the kids are like 12/13 years old, but in the movie they look like this!



Cause Annabeth Chase (above) is kickass in the books, and because I saw pictures of Alexandra Daddario before I started reading the books, I picture her in my mind as Annabeth ... and consequently I want Annabeth femslash.  However,  i r groced out because any fanfic out there now would be about the books and I don't want to be reading stories with kissing about 12 year olds.

Therefore, I need the movie to come out nao so that people will start writing movie fic, where the actors are delightfully legal (and characters who are around 16-17 years old), so that I can ship Annabeth/Clarisse and Annabeth/Thalia without grossing myself out.

This! I liked Leo, honestly, I did. But after that small kiss with Triana all of Cara's hookups were dudes, and she legit didn't even check out of Denna's girls, and I was beginning to wonder if TPTB were even gonna keep her bi (except for sweepsweek).

She's not listed :( Which is stupid. I mean, other than Luke she's the camper who's mentioned most whose name isn't Peter Johnson Percy Jackson, Annatbeth Chase, Grover or Luke.

Well, considering the series spans five books, casting so old does seem problematic. I mean, are they going to have Percy in University or something? Logan Lerman could pass as a maturelooking grade nine kid, but Alexandra already looks like a student teacher, no way could they pass Annabeth off as a grade nine. And the guy that's playing Grover looks like he should be picking his kids up from school, not going to school.

If the movie does well, they're def. gonna have to fudge around with Percy's RL setting to four the other four movies.

You need to do both, but you need to watch the show first. Just start with the second season, they'll give you a nifty recap of what happened the first season and then you'll see Cara and you won't care about anything but seeing more of that blonde goddess of pain. Honestly, after the season 2 premiere you'll want to just keep watching and watching and watching the show!

I thought The Last Airbender was an alright show, and I was going to see the movie but...Dev Patel is playing Zuko. Which I just can't get into. He doesn't seem like Zuko to me. I'unno, guess we'll see once more information comes out. lol

Yeah, I'm not really thrilled about the casting for the movie. The Ang kid seems good, he looks like he's going to be amazing in the action sequences anyway, but the other main characters are kind of 0_o.

Like, it's awful when I wish that they would've been able to keep Jesse MacCartney as Zuko.

Also, Percy Jackson = good series? I just heard about it because of the movie and it's been a long time since I've read anything other than university books.

I'm really enjoying the series. I just demolished the first two books. And it would definitely be some nice, light, imaginative reading to give your brain a break from those heavy, intense university books.

OMG! You really, really, really do! It's fantastic, amazing and a bunch of other super awesome adjectives! If you want you can even just start with the second season (cause Cara is awesome personified and once you see her you will want to devour the show like is drizzled in caramel), and then you can go back and watch the first season when you run out of second season episodes so that the lovefest never has to end!

And swords. Weaponry is hawt.

I just actually finished the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. I started it because the movie looked like fun and i LOVE Greek Mythology.

It looking awesome and loving Greek mythology is exactly why I started reading as well. I just finished the third book, and I can't wait to finish the other two.

But yeah their ages in the books kinda bugged me:S

I'm much happier now that they're like 14/15 years old. I can picture teenagers adventuring like they do, and not dying. But at 12 I was just like, "baby no, don't fight the monster. You should be at home drinking hot coco and watching the Disney Channel!"

I didn't see her listed at imdb either, which is mystifying considering that she plays a pretty big role in the book series. I mean they've got Silen Beauerguard in the movie (who's not even mentioned in the first book) but they don't have Clarisse?

Yeah, Artemis looking 12 really bothered me. In fact all of the Hunters being 12-ish bothered me, simply before that whole situation was like made for slash fic. I'm hoping the movie does well, so that we can see the Hunters on screen eventually. Cause you know they'll be played by people in the 19-25 age range, and once that happens I can slash them easily. I mean, Zoe/Artemis was like fucking true love.

The movie is based on the animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" which aired on Nickelodeon in the U.S. The animated series is actually really, really good. I would totally recommend it.

I've just started on LotS, still in season 1, I like swords...


Heh. Swords and badass chicks are totally why I started watching as well, and it definitely doesn't disappoint. The series honestly just keeps getting better and better. Enjoy the awesome!

I literally just finished reading the third book and I LOVED the Hunters and Artemis. I'm very displeased that they were all in the 12-ish age range because the Hunters and Artemis in general were like made to be femslashed. I hope the movie does well so that we can get 19-25 year old actresses playing the Hunters. When this happens I'mma slash them like its my job. Zoe/Artemis was like true fucking love.

Avatar: Waterbender (the earth, wind and fire last, only because it's so destructive)
LoTS: Mord'Sith for sure, Confessors not gettin' the sexin' makes it less appealing. Being a Sister of the Light/Dark would be alright as well.
Olympians: Child of Athena (I've always thought Athena was kickass), I'd say Hunter next but I'd wanna look like a mid-late teens at least. Being eternally pre-teen doesn't appeal to me, lol. Then child of Ares, seems like fun.
