Lucky 13, huh?  Who would have guessed?

Sheer brilliance, this episode was sheer brilliance.  I can't think of a single thing I didn't like.

Cara, Sweet Cara

Everything with Cara was mint.  I was literally LMAO

- Cara's vicious wood-cutting after Zedd insulted her cooking skills slayed me.  Oh my god, I love how indignant she was.  Nobody does indignant like Tab.  The side boob in that scene was amazing as well.

- Cara's concern for Kahlan made me swoon so hard.  "Rothenberg is days from here.  Kahlan could be dead by then," and the schmoopy look that accompanied it.  AMAZING.  Cara doesn't want anything to happen to her boo.

- Loved, Cara's nodding along sagely with the plan and then her clueless face when Zedd was first outlining the plan, and then her utter lack of amusement at the idea of being a 'princess'.  LOVE.  

-  "I think we should dig the tunnel."  LOL!  Oh, Cara.

-  Zedd:  ...and you must always defer to your masculine betters.
   Cara:  There's no such thing.
BWAH!

- I love Cara's, "Cara wants to cut a bitch" face so much.

- The bowing competition with the duchess along with this:  "The journey was lovely .... .... with only one minus, how long it took to travel to your highness." LOL.  Her "Cara wants to cut a bitch" face when Zedd was explaining that she was only so slow because she was travel weary killed me.

- Cara's awkward run over to Richard when the knock came at the door, undid me.  God, I love Cara/Tabrett.

-  Cara:  I think you have an admirer
Zedd (dressed as a woman): Is there any reason why I shouldn't?
*Cara's 'well, alright then' expression*
Me:  LOL x forever

- The glee Cara displayed when she got to rhyme about 'training a slave' (such perfection)

-  Cara's glee when delivering these line:  Once long ago I was training a slave, who endeavored most  stubbornly not to behave.  So, I cut off a finger or two with a knife, and threatened to slaughter his child and his wife.  Then I stripped him down naked and strapped to a horse, then dragged him through miles of brammel and gorse.  Poured salt in his wounds and rolled him in rubble, and that's the last time he gave any trouble.

- Cara's needle work!  Awww.  Precious.

- "I don't need magic to make a man beg for mercy!"  LOL!  I wuv you Cara.

- Cara stepping in front of the Magrave to kill the schadren (right in the eye!) and then lifting her skirts to slit it's throat was awesome.  Her slicing off a piece of the meat and eating it raw in front of him!  LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!  I love this fierce bitch SO MUCH.

- "It's your choice Magrave, an eternity of right and good, or an eternity with meee!" OH.  MY.  GOD.  FUCKING.  A.  Cara do me nao!

- Cara and her roaming hand and her 'impatience' and her licking of her pretty, pretty lips kill me dead with the lust.

- "I don't want anyone else hearing my moans of ecstasy.  They're all for you."  BADASS FUCKING BITCH!

- "Tell me where the key is or there's going to be one more decapitation."

- "Dear Magrave the sight of your face makes me sick, you decadent, pompous, self-satisfying *punch in the face*"  AH-MAZ-ING!  Cara!  Do me again!


I love it when Kahlan Amnell says her whole fucking name repeatedly.  Bad.  Ass.

- First, Kahlan's hair is amazing.  I mean I always knew her hair was amazing, but tonight it just amazed me all over again.

"I'm Kahlan Amnell, the Mother Confessor and the only laws in this land are the ones I enforce."  RAWR.  Kahlan, get in me nao!  Kahlan got some badass lines this episode.

- Kahlan's fight for women's rights = FANTASTIC!  She would have been a great suffragist.

- Kahlan fucking Amnell can make weapons out of plates.  She.  Is.  Amazing.

- "If I die, the Keeper will destroy all of life."  Damn.  Girlfriend knows how to win an argument.  Seriously, how do you trump that?  Can't.  Cause Kahlan Amnell is the baddest Mama Jamma this side of the Midlands, that's why.

- I love that Kahlan motherfucking Amnell, is all like "Five guards?  Whatevs.  I can take them, easy.  I'll kick their asses, then I'll eat cake."

- Kahlan saving Cara was dreamy.

- Playful Kahlan at the end was GOLDEN!  GOD I LOVE HER!  And I love that her advice to Cara was a lower neck-line.  Kahlan loves Cara's boobs as much as the rest of us, ya'll!


Other Thoughts

- The actress playing the duchess was really fantastic.  I loved her Mean Girls:  The Midlands act.

Sister Nicki with no Jolene Blalock makes me sad.  I didn't actually think the blonde was bad, she's just not T'Pol, you know.

- Zedd was on fiyah this episode.  He was so funny.  His smacking-talk exchanges with Cara had me lmao.

- Richard's introduction as Roderick the Golden was LULZY.

- The Magrave getting his at the end was beautiful.  Loved that moment.

Honestly, I want to take this episode out behind the MIddle School and get it pregnant!  Wicked awesome.

That was glorious. I loved that Kahlan had already rescued herself by the time Cara arrived, and then Cara and Kahlan handing the Sisters of the Dark their asses made my heart happy.

Yeah, if I had never seen Jolene in the role, I think I would have thought that she was okay. Not great, but okay. But after having a real badass to compare her too ... no thank you. Let's hope Nicki gets a new body ... and that it's Jeri Ryan.

This episode was magical.

I wish I could have been in the writer's room when they decided that women had to rhyme in the Magrave's presence. That's amazing. And difficult. And awesome. Kara's ease with rhyme once she was able to rhyme about training a slave was priceless.

I think she actually cut the heart out of that Shadrin and ate a piece from it. That's hardcxre.

Does anyone see similarities between Tabrett Bethell and Dianna Agron? I keep thinking Tabrett is like grown up Dianna, but they're only 4 years apart.

Kahlan's face - Bridget Regan's face - is so gorgeous. I can't look away from it.

Zedd looks GORGEOUS in drag. I want him to do that more often. For serious.

The Jolene Blalock appearance made me start re-watching Enterprise. I am now on Season 4, Kir'Shara. I missed her in this episode of Legend, but at least there's always Enterprise. Delicious.

It's not just you. She drops it ALL the time. The woman is glorious but she can't keep up the American accent to save her life. I just like to pretend that Cara is foreign and that's why she has an accent (lalalalalala can't hear you that we saw Cara's sister like a week away from the Mord'Sith temple lalalalalala).

It's a good thing she drops it really. If it weren't for that I'd think she was perfect and then the world would blow up or something.

I think so. Craig Horner's is actually pretty impressive. For a while when I first started watching the show I thought he was American.

Craig Parker (aka Darken Rahl) apparently has an English accent cause he couldn't do an American one (at least according to Horner that is, lol) so Tab's in good company I guess.

Seriously, you'll love it just as much even having read this. The episode is just that good, and SEEING Tab's face and hearing her delivery is really what makes most of the scenes.

I watched it twice and it was even funnier the second time around.

Zedd and Richard were also pretty damn good this episode, and I hope we get to see more cross-dressing Zedd, because he seems to enjoy it so much.

The only part where I rolled my eyes was when Richard barges in, after Kahlan and Cara have royally kicked Team Nicki's arse, and gives his puffed-chest little speech. It's like, if you kick the butt, you get to make the speech, but don't come in after it's all over and do the baritone thing. Leave that to Kahlan 'I am the law' Amnell.

All in all a terrific episode.

They should really make him the central character. Richard is so booring. The evil seeker and his gang against the lonely bb Darken Rahl who only tries to make the world as he sees fit for the benefit of all (mostly himself, but that's a minor detail).

I stayed awake in this episode mostly because of top notch production values, Cara and Kahlan looking dazzling. If actual people actually started sparkling in sunlight, Bridget Regan would be the first.

I actually like Spartacus as a guilty pleasure show. It has gotten much better than the first two episodes, but it's still kind of stupid, I'm just okay with that now. I've also actually gotten attached to quite a few characters.

Craig Parker is barely in it though, just to warn you. I'm not even sure if he was in an episode after the pilot. His wife is around quite a bit, but Glabber is always off somewhere and is only mentioned not shown.

Richard is so booring.

Richard is boring, but I love the BAMF's he travels with so I'm still on board with him being the center of the show. This season does really suffer from not having a baddie on screen more. Darken Rahl's presence did really add some menace to the first season.
