... because I thought this looked good, and I'm actually actively anticipating this movie now. 

I'm pretty sure every cool thing they showed in the trailer will only happen in like the last ten minutes of the movie (and the rest is just gonna be a redux of New Moon with KStew in a bad wig plus bonus whining about marriage), but *sob* the trailer looks good.  I know it's a bait and switch, but HBIC Dakota Fanning, and Flipping over Giant Wolves Alice ensure that I will see it.  Fake-Ass Victoria continues to make me sad though.  I miss you Rachelle!

Oh, yes please. I wish that these books/movies has actual plots. The vampire army storyline sounds interesting, but you know the focus of the movie is going to be on the boring romance instead of evil vampires fighting.

God, if Edward disappeared so would like 60% of my haterade for this franchise. I actually like the Cullen's, and Bella is a decent enough character when she's around ANYONE but Edward.

Wow. First trailer I've ever watched for a Twilight flick, and I must say, had I never dragged my sorry ass through the corresponding book, I might actually be looking forward to this... can someone kill me now, please?

Also, I know I'm lacking interest in the gender, but isn't Edward supposed to be like, handsome or godlike or really freaking beautiful or something? He looks like he's wearing Sith lord makeup out of a Star Wars flick. I just don't get how such a sizeable slice of the worldwide female population can be fawning over him...

Honestly, avoid the movies and especially the books like the plague. They're awful, but they have a strange way of sucking you in and making you hate yourself for it. Other than pop culture ranting there's really no reason to subject yourself to them.

And even though the trailer for this looks good, people who have read the books have said that 2/3rds of it is more romantic triangle crap, and then like a few chapters of actual plot, and the movies stick very, very close to the books.

lol! I know. The make-up for Edward is terrible. Robert Pattinson isn't actually a horrible looking guy, I think in RL is can be quite handsome, but as Edward the guy is fug. And the character of Edward is so godawful that I can't understand who people genuinely like/are obsessed with him. Bella was written that way, the fans have no excuse.

Oh, I know it's lies. I just have a sickness when it comes to Twilight stuff. I hate it, and I know it sucks, yet I can't stay away completely. At least I did manage to stop reading the books. And at least with the movies I get to look at Ashley Greene, Taylor Lautner, and Dakota Fanning.

Drinking is definitely recommended. It made New Moon an almost enjoyable experience (though, the first one was bad for even narcotics and alcohol to make tolerable).

like ok I saw only the first movie cause my bff had to drag me to the movies by my thumbs and I nearly died watching it and trust me I tried watching cause jumping off the highest row of chairs wouldnt cause enough damage that I want it to do, I did want to claw my eyes out. That sappy rom crap just made me a ill and just wanted to save K-stew from the agony that she was going through (she hides it well but she was hurting) I tried to like twilight I truly did but now I just want it to go away ...like now.

Oh, I know. Bella and Edward are awful together. Edward is just awful in general. They drag the entire series down. Scenes with the Cullens are usually actually entertaining, and the scenes with other vampires are usually entertaining as well. If this was a horror/action franchise instead of a badly written, badly plotted, badly characterized romance is might have been tolerable.

I wonder. For me, the new Iron Man 2 trailers are a lot more appealing. I just can't see the coolness of some teenagers who play vampires and werewolves. Werewolves and vampires themselves are a cool concept but in Twilight they are both so not...

Plus Iron Man has Scarlett Johansson and Gwyneth. Twilight has only Kstew playing a less interesting character.

I'm such a dork that I actually really like the suitcase Iron Man suit.

I like the Twilight books though. They are a good cure for insomnia.

The sad part is, I think that minute and a half trailer had more action in it than the entire book did.
What's worse is that minute and a half of action is probably all we're going to get, and the rest will be Bella and Edward being unbearably awkward together.
Well, hopefully there will be a few Belice scenes mixed in there so it won't be a complete waste of time. :P
