Everything about Cara was win this episode, Cara's win had win in this episode.  I cannot express my glee at her Cara's breaking down fer reals how the conversation/goodbye between Richard and Kahlan would have gone... 

Cara: Can we speed this up? She loves you, you love her, I should protect her as if she were you. Have I missed anything? We could be halfway there by the time you two finish your goodbyes.

And every single interaction between Cara and the wisp was brilliant and adorable. 

Cara going off on how she's such hot shit in comparison to Kahlan cracked me up (especially since Kahlan and her busted ankle totally had caught up to Cara)

Cara:  Well, Wisp...it's just you and me. And we have a loooong way to go so, what do you want to talk about, huh? Mmmmm. This would be so much easier if you used words, instead of chirping. I'll bet you wish Kahlan was here instead of me? The truth is you're lucky I'm here. Kahlan couldn't have run all night and got you safely out of Gar territory like I did. I'm faster than she is. And I have more endurance. I'm also better in a fight. If it weren't for me, everyone on this quest would be Shadrin food by now. I'm not boasting...I'm simply...wait, did you just say I was boasting? [beautiful smile] I can understand you! Say something else. Kahlan's close? Where?

Can we just stop and squee about how everything in Cara's world seems to revolve around Kahlan! 

Case in point:  Mord'Sith are afraid of nothing.  Stop nagging!  Ugh, you remind me of Kahlan!

And Cara had me 'awww'ing for like two minutes straight when she was talking about how the gang just tolerates her.  *hugs and pets*  

Cara:  You're wrong.  They dont' care for me, they ... value me because I'm effective.  Richard only keep me because he needs me.  Kahlan puts up with me because of Richard.  And Zedd?  Zedd would probably torch me with Wizard's Fire if he could.

And it has to be said that Tabrett Bethell's smile is so beautiful that it made me cry!  That's not exaggeration.  And she smiled SO MUCH!  OMG, CARA I LUV YOU SO FREAKING MUCH!  I honestly just want to wrap Cara in my arms and smother her with kisses until my lips fall off.

I have to say I so loved that shout-out to the first episode of the season with Cara offering her hand to Kahlan from above, only this time Kahlan accepting it with relief and affection.

Kahlan may be the Mother Confessor and just cute as a button 90% of the time, but do not get on her bad side!  Holy.

I have to say I also really enjoyed The Amazing Adventures the Brothers Rahl.  THE HAIR FLIPPING IN THEIR MAN FIGHT WAS SPECTACULAR.  I mean, Bridget's hair flips out shine the combined power of the Craig's, but the boys did put on a fine show.  I almost wonder if Parker was given the same choreographer that arranges Bridget's hair flips, cause boyfriend was working it something fierce.

Cara and her emotions are so fantastic. I was literally jittering in my seat and actually squeeing in almost all of her scenes. Cara is quite literally too cute for words. I want one!

Darken Rahl is a dick, but that outfit he dresses the Mord'sith in when hanging them from the ceiling is ridiculously hot. When Denna was in it last season I swooned so hard, and now that Cara is in it ... yep, swooned again. Although, after seeing how expressive and happy Cara was this episode, the thought of her being tortured next episode is making me misty-eyed. She's come so far!

This episode was epic to the epic degree.

Word. So much word. I haven't squeed so hard over an episode since "Princess". I just love Cara to bits. And Tabrett. God, the woman made talking into her hand for half an hour riveting.

And the look Kahlan gave Cara when she told her she could understand the Wisp...I JUST. WHAT. GUH. I DON'T EVEN!

I know! Kahlan was swooning so hard over Cara this ep. The look she gave Cara after Cara said that the birth of night wisps was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen was wonderful as well. Kahlan totes thinks Cara's adorable as well.

Bring on the breaking, bb (not that I think she will break).

I don't think she'll break either. After seeing Cara at her happiest in this episode though, the thought of her being tortured next episode makes me misty-eyed. I hope she get some epic hugs from Kahlan next week after escaping Darken Rahl.

Do it! You will not regret it. You will still get about 44 episodes of great great stuff, which is a lot more than can be said for a lot of shows.

Det. Olivia Dunham is one of the hottest things I've ever seen. Glam!Butch is such a good look on her, and Anna Torv rocked those outfits like whoa. And I loved how gay this episode was. Like the writers tried to force Peter/Olivia in there, but the scenes between Olivia and Astrid were GAY AS HELL. In that scene where Astrid was cleaning her wound I almost thought that they were really going to make out. I feel like it's canon that Olivia and Esther totes used to get it on.

And I loved the interactions between Olivia and Rachel. If only they'd had a few more. I wanted to eat it up with a spoon. I love those two together. I wish this season had been able to have more Rachel. *sigh*

Oh, I know. I wanted to take her out for an ice-cream. This episode really gave an idea of what Cara could have been like if she hadn't been taken by the Mord'Sith and it just broke my heart for her.

Her delight when she thought it was snowing nearly made me fall onto the floor and spin around in circles I loved it so much.

Cara is seriously like the most adorable thing ever.

I know, right! There are no words for how epic next week is going to be. This show is turning out such high quality episodes, and the actors are just getting better and better, and the characters are so fascinating. It is so unfair that with all of the crap on TV this show is getting axed. Like Cougar Town will probably be on for 7 seasons, but Legend of the Seeker is gone.

It is a cruel, cruel world.

You know I love Merlin, Morgana is my girl, but that show isn't nearly as consistent as LotS. I mean the show manages to always get better with each new episode. Sometimes with Merlin I kinda just zone out and end up doing something while watching. But with LotS, I'm glued to the screen.

This is one of the things I love so much about LotS. The episodes are almost always stellar, and even when they aren't they're still enjoyable. Other shows hit and miss a lot more than this one does. And when this show is on, my god it doesn't get better. And considering this show has 22 episode seasons that's a major accomplishment.

That is a good point. When it comes to shows with a shorter season, it's both a blessing and curse. On one had you don't have to worry about coming up with too many ideas and on another you have to condense the ideas you do have.

I was actually surprised that Spartacus: Blood and Sands managed to do a pretty good job with this dilemma. But considering a lot of the same people behind LotS are also behind Spartacus, I don't know why I was.

Please oh please, Powers that Be, put Bridget and/or Tabrett on Spartacus.

I know! He was werkin' it like he was on Rupaul's Drag Race. I really loved that scene. Honestly, I beginning to think that the fight scenes epiciness is directly proportional to the amount of hair flipping in it, which is why I enjoyed Richard in this scene. Though of course Darken Rahl's hair flipping was far superior.

Geez. As if I wasn't anticipating next week enough! I so need there to be an epic reunion scene with Cara and Kahlan, and if they managed to get a hurt/comfort scene in there with Kahlan holding Cara I will squee forever.

A gorgeous episode.

For once, the Richard side of the episode was interesting and not merely background noise until Cara or Kahlan came back on screen. The brothers should be forced to work together more, if that's the result, because Darken Rahl definitely brings out the non-boring side of Richard.

Of course, neither brother could compare to the individual or combined wow-ness of Cara, Kahlan and the wisp. The gradual eroding of Cara's walls and the insertion of 'feelings' into her ordered world has been a wonder to behold. This latest crack in her armour was damn cute, too. Plus, it also illustrated just how obsessed she's become with Kahlan, and the Mother Confessor's look of absolutely besotted-ness make it plain that the feelings run both ways.

Kahlan has an edge of vengeful darkness that is beautiful and scary to see... it's one of the reasons she's always seemed a better match for Cara than Richard (that and my blatant femslash bias, of course).

I can understand a network cancelling a show that's not working, but LotS is in the zone, and cancelling it now just shows them up for the morons that they are.

FINALLY WATCHED IT.

As soon as I processed the fact that Cara and Kahlan were taking the night wisp to a grotto so it could have babies, I realized that their subplot was actually a metaphorical pregnancy storyline. And that Cara was really irritated because her polyamorous girlfriend keeps talking about her side-boyfriend just as they're starting a family. Way to be sensitive, Kahlan!

So, that brings us back to a month ago, when "Desecrated" aired. Sometime in the middle of the unimportant Stone of Tears plot, Kahlan must have told Cara that she's late and do you remember that night a month ago? In the tomb? Yeeaaaaaaah. Let's go to the subliminally lesbigay flower grotto! OH, AND THE BIRTH OF OUR CHILD WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING EVAR? BB, YOU'RE SO CUTE LET'S MOVE IN TOGETHER.

it would appear that i have stumbled into a corner of the internet where folks think exactly as i do... namely that Cara rocks and Tabrett Bethel brings her to life with epic levels of brilliance. hurray!

Cara was always my favorite character in the novels and she does not disappoint in LotS. Her journey over this season is the most interesting part of the show. And this ep is a love-fest for Cara fans. Her reaction to the snow, speeding up the R/K goodbye scene, her annoyance w/ chatty Kahlan, her own conversations w/ the wisp (how many people can make talking to your hand that funny/moving/riveting?), and especially her reactions to the birth of the wisps and her telling Kahlan about it. Just everything about her. LE SIGH.
