Femslash goggles, don't lead me astray!

Could this be a summer full of femslash?

I already know that Pretty Little Liars is going to provide some femslashy goodness (Hai Emily, hai Mya!  Keep on hugging girls, and throw in a few more fast-moving sleepovers while you're at it!  *refuses to comment on the casting of Bianca Lawson, because we all know it's frakking ridiculous).

And of course True Blood is definitely going to provide some femslashsy goodness (Hai!  Pam!  Hey gurl!)

But could Persons Unknown also be providing some femslashy goodness?  *crosses fingers*  This one could still go either way, but the Tori/Moira interactions this week set my femslashy-sense tingling! 

For those who haven't seen the show yet ...  Moira = Short, dark hair and Tori = leggy blonde


Look at Moira checking out dat ass (not that she can be blamed!), and Tori returns the compliment later when she sees Moira cleaned up for the first time!


The bonding scene on the bed was exploding with gay, and the lingering, tender look Tori give Moira at the end of it had my femslashy-sense tingling out of control.

And the van scene, the van scene!  Not only does Tori first run into the restaurant to save her bb, but then look at those two supa-lezza's flirting like it's going out of style in the back of the van.  Tori was so proud of her bb, and I swear they start holding hands!

Like I said, there's nothing conclusive yet, but there's a vibe ... so here's hoping it pays off!  If you've seen the episode let me know what you think (am I crazy, or is there something there?!?!) and if you haven't seen the episode ... watch it  :D

If you're crazy then it's totally contagious because I saw the SAME THINGS!! Like, sitting alone in my apartment looking around with a 'did anybody else see that shit?' expression on my face!! Or maybe I was just shocked by a scene on a network television genre show involving two female characters talking about something other than the MENZ!

That was put there by THE MAN! lol. That scene made me sad. I didn't enjoy their fight, though Moira pleading for forgiveness from her bb, got me in the heart.

Still though, whose bright fucking idea was it to release the butterfly RIGHT NEXT TO THE PAIN GUN?!?!?! Moira probably could have gotten some hugging action if she'd released the thing in the middle of time and they'd been able to watch it flutter OUT OF SIGHT before it got zapped.

Fly free Tori, don't let daddy hold you down anymore! Actually, I was pretty pleased that Tori seemed smitten by Moira too. Nerdy!girl with a crush on the beautiful!party girl would have been pretty cliche, but making Tori into it as well makes me happy.

The only thing that disappoints me about the show is there isn't a character who's all 'no bills, no work, free room and board and all the Chinese food I can eat for life? Why do we want to leave again?'. Because that would totally be me!

LOL! So true. It's like, they're not being tortured, they're not being made to perform difficult manual labor tasks. They don't have to solve strange and difficult riddles. All they do is shop, sight see and eat Chinese food. I'm with you, it seems like a pretty sweet deal to me!

The scene with the butterfly was mint. I could watch 42 minutes of Moira and Tori just hanging out in Tori's room flirting while Tori wears that gorgeous dress. They are my favorite part of the show.

Hey! I'm already getting used to the FF button. I'm actually only marginally interested in the show. I liked the Moira/Tori scenes though, and those were the only things that I was paying full attention too.

Bianca Lawson doesn't really bother me. For a 30-something she looks really young

Last episode seeing her was a bit jarring because I think the hair made her look older. This episode her look was much better and she honestly didn't look much older than the rest of the girls, and certain no older than Emily.

Bianca is just totally the new Stacey Dash. She's going to be playing teens until she's 40. Honestly, it's more funny than anything else. I've been seeing this woman playing teenagers since 1994!

She's definitely got the Mya St. Germain vibe down though. Very much like how I pictured her in the books.

These two have femslash vibe written all over them. Within the space of a single episode they've gravitated towards each other, shared secrets, engaged in partial nudity and become grieving parents of a fried butterfly. Which means they're already halfway towards dysfunctional but sane coupledom.

The program itself is filled with clichéd characters but it somewhat redeems itself by letting the women pair off and have conversations that don't revolve around which one of them wants to sleep with 'insert name of man here'.

I love that they've already had a fight, made up, had a hero/damsel moment, and fought again. I'm looking forward to seeing them make up next week, especially if it involves Moira making a dashing gesture that shows Tori she really cares.

This. It's all sorts of cliche, but the way they are handling Moira/Tori is interesting and refreshing and the only thing I'm really interested in. Even the fact that they paired these particular characters up, and that Tori seems genuinely interested in Moira/supportive of her (van scene) whether romantic or platonic is interesting.

Hopefully their developing relationship remains a focus on the show, because it's really all that's keeping me watching at this point.
