So, I'm finally almost up to date on my shows after the vacay.  I just need to watch Saturday's episode of Persons Unknown and I'll be officially caught up.  Yay!

Pretty Little Liars

Is such a pretty little show.  I like it so much, and I’m going to be blasphemous and say that I like the show even better than the books.

I’m so glad the Emily/Toby foolishness is over and done with and we’re able to get on with the Emily/Maya romance.   Their scenes were also rushed before, so hopefully know we’ll get to see some slower development of their relationship (though development of romantic relationships doesn’t seem to be this show strong point, lol).

I liked the hand-feeding and flirting over lunch and Emily’s ‘suave’ technique asking Maya on a date.  And of course, the scene in the movie theatre ... there are no words.  I was so shocked, and pleasantly surprised to see that Emily was the aggressor in that kissing scene and Maya was just like “oh my stars” and dropping popcorn all over the place.

The chemistry between Emily and Ali in the flashback scene by the lake when Ali was telling Emily about the kissing rock was nice.

This show moves at such a quick pace that it would take forever to comment on the other aspects of the show that I liked, so I’m just going to say Jason is intriguing, Hanna continues to made entirely of awesomesause, Spencer is becoming more and more interesting to me, Jenna is creepy but fascinating, and Aria continues to bore me.

Rizzoli and Isles

I love this show.  The crimes aren’t the most fascinating on the planet, but the charisma of the actors (or should I say actresses) has hooked me.  I love me some Angie Harmon, I have since Abbie Carmichael and my love for her has not waned.  Sure, she plays the same character is like every show I’ve ever seen her in, but that character is always fucking hot.  Plus, Rizzoli is funny, and Angie gets to smile in this one a lot more than I remember her smiling in WMC and Angie’s smile is like a blooming flower, under a rainbow that being licked by precious little puppies while kittens pounce on wild flowers beneath it.  Her smile is magical.  Also, very few female actresses can do crotchety adorableness like Angie.

I don’t watch NCIS so while I had heard Sasha Alexander’s name before, I’d never really seen her in anything, but I know love her.  I expected to love Rizzoli, but I am pleasantly surprised by how much I love Isles as well.  I just want to gather Maura up in my arms and hug her and kiss her forever.  She’s so smart, she turns me on.  Seriously, I’d love to date her, I feel like I’d become so much smarter.  She’s also got such interesting information to share.

And finally, the relationship between the two women is wonderful.  Angie and Sasha have great chemistry together.  Again, I expected it because Angie always has chemistry with her female co-stars, but things like Maura rushing over to Jane’s place in her PJs, and Maura cheering for her girlfriend to get a good hit from the stands, and Jane giving Maura batting lessons and them always sharing food together, and Jane running to Maura when her mother starts nagging her ... they’re just so *dreamy sigh*

I know the show is never going to go there (even though they are clearly perfect for each other and already act like a married couple), so I hope that their friendship remains as strong and that they continue to be meaningful figures in each other’s lives.

I’m so happy the show has been renewed for a second season!

And the latest episode 1x04 was golden.  No bullshit forced love interests this week, just Maura hanging out with Jane and Ma, gazing at Jane lovingly in the car.  And then that last scene.  Seemed like the girls were on a wonderful date.  Also, I know they were trying to show Jane’s softer side at the end with the dead girl’s roommate, but it really seemed like Jane was trying to become the girls new Sugar Daddy.   The flowers were suspect enough, but the kiss to her forehead was like ... whaaa?  She’s 21 not 12 Jane.  Still, it was awesome to see Jane Rizzoli’s lips on another female so huzzah!

Persons Unknown

This is so not a good show, but Kandyse McClure is keeping me watching.

I’m glad that Joe’s trifling ass got called out, though I still don’t think that’s going to clear a way for Erica/Janet.  Because this is not a good show, I don’t have confidence that the writers will do anything that I like.

There remains too much of ugly boring Renby and Elle from Criminal Minds, though it did crack me up to see Franco from Days of Our Lives in the fake Italy scenes.

Sherlock (BBC)

Oooh, I’m going to enjoy this.  I think it’s a really great modern adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes mysteries.  It’s got a great cast (Benedict Cumberbatch is awesome, and I enjoy the fact that he looks like an older Colin Morgan.  Martin Freeman is different here than I’ve seen him in the past, but that’s a good thing).

The Gates

It’s still intriguing me.  There’s still way to much of the chief and Charlie and Andy, but not enough to turn me off the show.  The Chief is also marginally more interesting now that he knows about Dylan.  I’m still liking Teen Wolf’s storyline (and the addition of Girl Teen Wolf), and everything with Claire of course (Barbara better watch her ass, since Claire’s idea of handling problems usually involves her fangs).

And ... here’s what you’ve all been expecting ... NOT ENOUGH DEVON!  MOAR DEVON NOW!  Seriously, I had to go two whole episodes without seeing my girlfriend.  That’s just mean.  Of course when she showed up again she was wonderfully sneaky and smirky (which is now I like my Devon), but the show better not go so long without showing her again or someone’s gon’ get cut!

As for Sundays episode, yay Devon.  But I don't like this trend of the show making me choose between the pretty of Colton Haynes and Chandra West.  It's like if I get a dose of Brett they take away Devon, and if I get a dose of Devon they take away Brett.  Still, I liked this episode.  Gay Lady Vamps!  To bad it wasn't Claire, and she was a tragic gay lady vamp, but still it was cool.  Vamped out Claire never fails to turn me on, and Claire and Karen verbally sparing with each other was fun.  Plus, it answers the question about how the vamps and were's get on with each other.  Poor Devon seems to be universally hated however.  But it looks like she's on her way to getting hers (creepy creepy face masks!).

Warehouse 13

Kaylee and Simon!

Myka as a superhero was super hot, and Myka dancing around her room with a teddy bear was super cute.

Artie continues to bother the hell out of me.  Seriously, I’ve never liked this character and I doubt I ever will.  I wish CCH Pounder/Mrs. Fredrick was their handler instead of Artie.  He’s also so cranky and not in a charming way, and he’s just a crappy boss.

I’m glad Claudia and Leena have made up, because Claudia’s childish behaviour was seriously making me hate her, and hating Claudia isn’t something I thought was possibly.  She was acting like such a little shit.  Thank god that foolishness is over.

Pete *smiles* Oh, Pete.  You continue to be cute and hilarious.

Finally, bring back H.G Wells!  After the pilot I thought HG Wells was going to be like the season big bad and we’ve barely heard anything about her since then.  I wants more Jaime Murray on my television screen.  Also, I want more Helena/Myka interaction because I think they are quite shippable together what with their similar feminist views and their crazy hotness ;)

And now the new PPL is on and I must go and watch!

I've seen all the Merlin eps but... Meh. I'm not a big fan.
