I've just watched episode 4 and ...
Nov. 3rd, 2010 11:26 pmI'm still loving Lip Service.

- There must be a fourteen year old girl trapped inside of me, because I can't help it. I like Frankie. I suspect the way I feel about her is the way ninth grade girls feel about Justin Beiber. I know Frankie's a mess but I still think she's dreamy. I just want to hug her all day long. Okay, that's not all I want to do. Taking a bath with her and um, photography with her also seems pretty fun ;) The melodramatic teen inside of me also is digging Frankie pining after Kat (cause she being sweet and all misty-eyed about it instead of douchey about it like in earlier episodes). I know most viewers are Team Sam, and I do like Sam and Kat together, but deep down inside I'm Team Frankie for the long run. The scene in Kat's bedroom with the sexy leaning against the door frame and the reminiscing made me swoon.
- Speaking of Kat, her boss is an asshat, I'm glad that she came clean to Sam about why she actually wanted that name checked, and even though I felt really bad for that cab driver, the last scene with them in the back of the taxi was pretty smoking hot. Inappropriate, really, really inappropriate, but hot. Actually coming to think of it, between the police station desk romp, making out on the street in front of Kat's office, and the taxi scene, I'm beginning to see a trend with these two. They've become the 'get a room' couple on the show, but honestly I don't really care if they get a room or not ;)
- I continue to love Tess bunches and bunches. I'm a little sad that there won't be a Tess/Lou reunion (or at least that it wasn't hinted at in this episode), but I am intrigued by Tess potential new love interest. The "You look familiar" neighbour lady had a British Rose Rollins type of vibe going on, which I'm all about (mmm, Rose Rollins. Let's just take a moment to appreciate her crazy hotness). I'm looking forward to awkwardness and hot sex between those two.
- Speaking of awkward, nobody does awkward like the British. Evidence:
1) Ed's date scene was so painful by the end, but kind of hilarious.
2) Also painful and hilarious was the lunch with Kat's parents. God, her mom is a pill. I loved that Tess just tagged along for free food and the opportunity to observe the crazy in action. Her impersonation of Kat and Ed's mother after the lunch was awesome, as was her assessment of their dad.
3) And don't even get me started on Tess's "date". Dear god that scene at her date's house was hilarious and awkward as hell. Her just sitting there while they snipped at each other was cringe-worthy, but ultimately thinking about the scene makes me laugh.
4) Also, that Frankie/Jay scene was also awkward as hell. I saw it coming the moment they were crawling on the floor to the liquor cabinet together, but when Jay was kissing away and Frankie was just like 0_o for about ten seconds I was cringing.
- Sadie is a crazy person. A hot crazy person (I think the actress is gorgeous, and that bathroom scene might have single-handedly given me a shaving fetish) , but a crazy person nonetheless. STAY AWAY FROM HER FRANCESCA ALAN! YOU ARE CRAZY ENOUGH ON YOUR OWN! And get down from there! I have this awful feeling that Sadie is going to be responsible for some super-melodramtic cliffhanger ending at the end of the season and I am both looking forward to seeing what The Duchess of Crazy will come up with, while simultaneously dreading it.
- Also, because it cannot be sad enough ... JAY IS A DICK! He and Dyson should get together and move to Douche Island where their punk-ass bitch tendencies will no longer be able to harm innocent bystanders.
In conclusion, I'm sad that the season only has like six episodes because I'm so attached to the characters now that I don't want to have to say goodbye to them for a year (or more) two episodes from now!
