Fall in love with Skins (UK obviously)

I saw a couple episodes of series one but couldn't get into it, didn't see any of series two, watched all of series three (though mostly for the hotness of Kaya Sexdelario and because my lesbo street cred demanded that I know who the hell Naomily were).  I saw a few episodes of series four, but overall I just never really got into it.  I thought myself, "Self, maybe I'm just too old for this," but ...

I'm really feeling the new cast and  I think  ... *composes self* ... I think this may be the one!

Also, Franky/Grace forever!  I'll be able to deal with the fact that the show is totally going to have Franky/Matty and Grace/Rich be canon, but Franky/Grace is my OTP for this series.  They are beautiful and sweet and wonderful together.  I want for them to have snuggles and kisses with each other. 

And while I'm on the subject, Franky/Mini is my wrong-dirty-bad-but-hot ship.  Seriously, Mini came across so down-low for Franky (and was so unbelievably bitchy to her) that I've half convinced myself that it'll really be a storyline.  Okay, convinced.  I'll legit be sad if Mini really doesn't have a crush on her.

THIS. I was really expecting to ship Franky/Mini before the ep, but after having witnessed Mini's massive capacity for eeeevil, I don't think I can ship them in good conscience, at least not yet. As for Franky/Matty, I like the idea of them together, but Franky/Grace is so my OTP right now.

Heh! You know me. I've already started a short Franky/Grace fic ;)

I was really expecting to ship Franky/Mini before the ep, but after having witnessed Mini's massive capacity for eeeevil, I don't think I can ship them in good conscience, at least not yet.

I hadn't seen any promo stuff before watching, so I didn't have any previous ideas. But after that first scene where Mini was just staring at Franky looking caught between amusement and being impressed, I started to ship them.

As her massive capacity for eeeeeevil (so well put) showed itself though, and Grace massive capacity for adorableness and goregosity made itself known, Franky/Grace became OTP and Franky/Mini became my hot but messed up guilty pleasure.

I've the USA Skins is really bad. I'm going to watch the Tea episode just for the lesboness, but that's probably it.

I'm so glad the season opened with Franky. I'm a little worried that since her episode is out of the way, there won't be as much keeping me hooked. Though, I really adore Grace.

Anyway, I'm utterly convinced that everyone wants in Franky's pants. Not that I can blame them. Dakota Blue Richards managed to make a fairly studly Franky.


I can't decide who I want to ship more, Franky/Grace or Franky/Mini. And where did Matty come from? At the moment, I really don't care until his babbling stops pinging my bullshit radar.

Yeah, it really looked like Mini had a crush or something on Franky first, but then again later in the episode it didn't look like that at all.

I think Grace was just being friendly. She looks like she has an actual heart and going against the rules of the social pyramid like that certainly wins her a lot of points.

My bet on Franky's next love interest will be that guy who he/she(?) talked to after shooting the gun. Cue a lot of awkwardness.

Franky/Mini might be more to the end of the season. Just because of the wordless exchange in the locker room.

I may be completely wrong but it's fun to guess.

Thanks for the upload, I forgot why I enjoyed Skins. It may be a bit too sappy though. It wouldn't hurt if they didn't do those feel-good scenes too much with annoying pop music playing in the background.

Pfft, I'd rather just watch all the interesting parts and skip all the boring episodes, like the next one will most likely be.

I was a HUGE fan of the Gen 2 cast, so the new kids made me nervous. To be honest, I really want to break away from Skins and get into something else for a while.

And then Frankie broke my heart. It wasn't just the best opener the show has ever had. It was a beautifully crafted episode that brought me back to the pain of being gender ambiguous. The music complemented the whole thing so well that it honestly blew me away. I'm hooked, dammit.
