Lost Girl - 2x07 - Fae Gone Wild

OMG!  I really liked this episode of Lost Girl.  Like I found pretty much the entire thing enjoyable.  I laughed, I whooped, I got misty-eyed, I thoroughly enjoyed!

Oh, Bo.  I like you when you nerd.  Your crazy sci-fi speculations about what might be in that box amused me greatly cause it's the same kind of crazy shit that would have come out of my mouth!

Damn, the police station.  That means I'mma have to suffer through Dyson this episode.

I wish my workplace would be invaded by hot chicks in slutty catwoman costumes.

So, no women work at this police station?  What is this a police station from the 1920s?  And the stupid has already begun 3 minutes into the episode.

Client Lady to Bo: "The Fae in town say you're the best." - LOL oh, god, I fear for the world this show takes place in if that's true. 

Anything to do with Russians, ask Kenzi, she knows ALL THE RUSSIANS!

"If this is the right van, you tell your cousin we owe him a twinkie"  WTF?  That's what Bo pays people in, twinkies?  Remind me never to help her out ever.  Like at least get me a red velvet cupcake or something!

BO AND KENZI GOING TO A STRIP CLUB AND OGLING GIRLS TOGETHER FTW!  I predict a rash of Bo/Kenzi fics after Kenzi's "I think I like girls now."  Seriously, one of my favorite scenes on this show ever.  SO GAY!

"Baby, my hair could be on fire and I wouldn't care 'cause I want what she's selling!"  LOL Kenzi.  I love you when you're gay.  This show should be Kenzi perving on girls like she's on tumblr all the time!

Bo getting a lap dance ... HOT!!!!!  I LOVE THIS EPISODE!!!!  SO.  MUCH.  GAY. 

Bo: "Wow, you are beautiful and ... sparkly" - LOL Bo!  You sure do have a way with words.

LAUREN!  FINALLY!  25 minutes into the episode, but at least she's here.  Also, I like Dyson a lot more when he's being nice to Lauren.

9:27 pm, November 6th 2011, mark this time.  It's the first time I've sided with Bo on something over Lauren.  SHE WAS GIVING YOU AN OPPORTUNITY TO TALK HOT PANTS!  You're tangling the web even more Lauren, me no like tangled webs!

Wow, Bo.  That's some bar-tending dress you've got on there.  Let's give it up for Anna "My Body is Bangin'" Silk, everybody!

OMG IS BO BEING MATURE?!?!  WHO IS THIS CHARACTER ... WHAT IS THIS SHOW THAT I LIKE?  IS THIS A MATURE, MEANINGFUL CONVERSATION BETWEEN BO AND LAUREN?  ARE WE GETTING BACKGROUND INFORMATION ON LAUREN?  THEY'RE BOTH BEING SO MATURE!  OMG THEY'RE GOING TO OPEN THE BOX TOGETHER LIKE MUTHAFUCKIN' ADULTS WHO CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER!

CAN LOST GIRL BE LIKE THIS EVERY WEEK?

And it's as we expected ... Lauren became a slave by being the best girlfriend ever.  And Bo is actually earning really good girlfriend points as well!

Oh sweet Jeebus, please let 'Lost Girl' finally be hitting it's stride!  Please don't let how enjoyable this episode was and how likable (and mature) the all of the characters were be a fluke!

YES! Bo was just ... Bo was kind of incredible this episode. I liked her so much (and normally she just irritates the fuck out of me). She was delightfully nerdy in the first scene, she was delightfully gay, she was delightfully supportive, and she was very mature and sensible throughout the whole episode. I mean she actually apologized for something! I ... I don't know where this awesome Bo came from but I want to keep her!

This is an episode worth waiting up for!

This weeks was definitely a good Lost Girl! This is the first episode that I've really enjoyed (like overall instead of scattered moments of like) all season.

TBH I've been pretty bored by the last three episodes or so of Nikita, but I LOVED Friday's episode!

Amanda ... my god, she terrifies me but she's so fucking hot. And Alex ... damn, Lyndsy Fonseca, damn you are good. Alex's scene with Yuri, and then her return to bunk she thought she'd escaped broke my heart. That scene with Yuri was great, because as he was pointing out how ridiculous her story sounded it hit home with me as a viewer just as it was hitting home with Alex how messed up everything was.

This was the first time I actually gave a shit about Ryan as well, and Sean was somewhat interesting too!

I'm hoping I'll be as into the up coming episodes as I was into this one.

I'm especially happy Alex told Yuri that Nikita killed her father in "self defense". Here's to hoping more Nikita/Alex...and Michael getting all angsty what with him having a son and all.

Yeah, I liked that Alex was still defending Nikita even though "she's not with Nikita anymore".

I like that Alex and Nikita still love each other, but I really, really miss them interacting together regularly, and how cute and hot they were together.

Michael bores me to tears and I find him and Nikita mind-numbingly boring together, but I didn't like that Nikita was making all of the same mistakes with him that she made with Alex. I like that her hamartia didn't just disappear.

How has there not been a strip club episode already?

I love that now that Dyson has no feelings for Bo, he's totally nice to Lauren. It was really jealousy between them the whole time. Now they can be nice to each other.

Bo just wanting Lauren to tell her she had a girlfriend but Lauren couldn't get it out. The sweet angst.

Kenzi goes gay for fae! I like that she and Bo were finally in the same position. Horny but having to solve mysteries anyway.

I know, right! If ever there was a show that should have scenes in strip clubs every other episode it's Lost Girl. Bo should never leave champagne rooms!

Every week I check out your above the cut recaps to know whether or not I'm gonna want to gouge out my eyes if I see the episode. It's saved me a lot of heartache and ensured that I watched this episode straight away rather than waiting. So thanks.

I always want more Lauren but I was very pleased with what we did get. Not only her interactions with Bo but also her scenes with Dyson (actually likeable when treating Lauren with respect) and Trick. The explanation for coma-girl was as expected but Bo's reaction was far more adult and likeable than I'd feared. I hope that attitude continues for the rest of the season.

An enjoyable episode. I could have done without another Dyson shagging scene, but on the upside we got to see more Hale and hints from Trick about something shady/mysterious going on. Not bad at all.

Me too! If it keeps up the way it was this episode I will no longer have to be ashamed of myself for watching and I'll be able to actually root for the characters instead of wanting to punch them in the face part of their faces! (with the exception of Lauren who has remained golden throughout)

At the moment this show and 2 Brokeback Girls is the closest thing to awesome gay chicks on TV I have. Someone over at Afterellen is really enjoying the show since she does episode recaps and that's where the 2 Brokeback Girls nickname came from.

It might be me, but I enjoy watching Max and Caroline a lot more than Bo and Lauren. Though it probably helps that Kat Dennings is my current #1 TV crush. Plus the characters are actually more fleshed out than in Lost Girl. But that show really does belong in a category of itself. It's the only show I can think of where none of the main cast is officially gay, yet the creators seem to be trying to find any excuse to have gay jokes/implications and scenes involving the two main leads.

I mean it really does say something when so far the series had 3 kisses. Only one happens to be hetero and the other two were lesbian. In fact according to a comment on AE, there was also suppose to be a kiss between the main leads, but it got cut out. Making it actually 3 lesbian to 1 hetero. Though there is good news. According to an interview with Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs, the two are going to kiss again and hopefully this one won't be cut out.

Also do you think Kat kind of looks like a mix between Madonna from her Like a Prey video and Amanada Seyfried with a hot body attached?

It should be considered an achievement the series managed not to screw up Lauren's character yet.

I know! I'm desperately hoping the show doesn't go back to sucking so incredibly hard. I remember what it was like when I actually genuinely liked this show and I want to feel that again. I want to anticipate instead of dread new episodes!

At the very least, I hope the mature Bo of this episode sticks around from now on.
