Date: 2012-07-24 07:05 pm (UTC)Also, you were totally right about Nora and Salome! I am impressed. You have a talent for seeing these things, I think. Also, I want some Miranda Tate/Selina Kyle fanfic, because it turns out she's actually Talia, like I was hoping, and Talia is awesome. BTW, she's obviously not dead, just like her father. After all, the Demon's Pits keep them immortal.
Oh, btw, did you get my last message? I wouldn't be concerned about the time passing between sending it and getting an answer, except that you've posted two fics meanwhile, so...

Date: 2012-07-24 10:27 pm (UTC)I was all over Nora/Salome last episode and I can't wait to see them interacting next week (it better be good show!). What I find oddly cute, is that Salome seems completely smitten with Nora. Last week there was this moment when she just gazed at Nora like she was the greatest thing ever, and in a promo for next week there was another moment where Salome just seemed so delighted to be in Nora's presence. I'm curious to see if it's just Valentina Cervi enjoying working with Lucy Griffiths bleeding through, or if there really is an unexpected power dynamic going on between them.
Miranda Tate/Selina fic would be great. I'm so sad they didn't really have any meaningful interactions in the movie. If they encountered each other in a way that didn't involve Bruce, I'm sure they would have gotten along well. Plus, you know Marion and Anne would have had mad chemistry with each other. And even though I have no idea how the Lazarus pit would work in Nolan's real!verse (or if it could), I like to think that it exists and that Talia was brought back. So sad that there's not going to be any more movies, but at least the trilogy went out in style (and we got Catwoman and my favorite depiction of Catwoman ever before it ended.)
I did get your last message, I promise I'll respond to it soon. Last week was nutty (in a good way, was away a lot of different places for a day or two) so I'm a bit behind and trying to catch up on things. But, when the fic bug bites (usually at ungodly hours of the morning) I must answer it, or the idea will drift away like leaves on the wind ;)

Date: 2012-07-25 09:17 am (UTC)Nora/Salome is just as awesome as you say, and I hope they both survive it. It seems Nora will, at any rate, as her 'brother' will try to save her, but I don't know about Salome. Which is sad, because she's so cool - when she explained who she really was, her awesomeness got a huge boost. I wonder if she ever showed Nora the Dance.
Totally agree about Miranda/Selina. And you're right about the trilogy going out in style, and Anne Hathaway being awesome. I think the Lazarus Pits would actually be easy to work in - Both Ras and Talia weren't shown decisively dying, just being in a vehicle that crashes. Considering their mad skills, they could probably get out with their lives, though major injuries. The Lazarus Pits would then be some healing facility based on lost natural resources (healing springs) or ancient methods of healing. I am totally trying to plan a fic where Selina, having left Gotham (your suggestion) encounters Talia somewhere and they totally hook up.
Ah, now worries about replying to my message. As I said, I'm used to waiting. And I totally understand what you mean about the fic bug biting. Anyway, I'll be waiting.
