Okay, so I just watched the pilot for "Prison Break", and I was somewhat worried about it after reading the description - because lets be honest it sounds kinda implausible and stoopid - but it was actually really good. When the episode ended I wanted more, and I've been thinking about it since I watched it, and am intrigued by the main character, all of which means I'll be watching in the fall.
It's got a fairly complicated plot (which really just means multiple storylines), but being an "Alias", "24", "Veronica Mars" fan that's not a problem for me, in fact I like it cause it makes you think and pay attention. So far, it's 'must see tv' for me come fall!
Plus it stars 'teh pretty pretty' Wentworth Miller, and my "Tarzan" girlcrush Sarah Wayne Callies (she and Lucy Lawless on screen together was a thing of beauty! Jane+Kathleen4Evah).

And, praise the lord, praise the lord! "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" is a good movie! I was starting to despair that Angelina was never going to make another movie that I wanted to see, or that did well at the box office, but such concerns are removed for now! This movie was tons of fun, from the opening scene to the (kinda stupid) last scene I enjoyed the ride. And the movie is hilarious, there are so many great one liners and gags that I can't even type them all here!
And Angie looked fantastic (and so did Kerry Washington whom there was girl!chemistry with) and was playing with knives and firearms which she does so well ;) Also, Stephanie March was in it! Mmmpretty. Not a huge role, but she had a hilarious line and looked great as one of "Angelina's Super Bitches!"
Really, not too much substance to the movie, but it hilarious, has got lots of action, and many many pretty people. Definately worth seeing! "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" is my daddy now as Angie would say ;)

Date: 2005-06-13 07:20 pm (UTC)Hee! He is sooo pretty. I sat through Dinotopia and Mariah Carey's "It's Like That" video (that song is unbearable) for him, that is how much I heart the pretty.
What is "Prison Break" about?
This is "Prison Break" in a nutshell:
Genre: Drama / Thriller
Tagline: Most men would do anything to get out...But Michael Scofield will do anything he can to get in!
Plot Outline: An engineer (Wentworth Miller) installs himself in a prison his company helped design in order to help his brother (Purcell), a death-row inmate who insists he didn't not commit the crime for which he's been sentenced to die, escape.
It sounds kinda hokey, but if they keep up the intensity and complexity of the pilot episode it should be pretty good. And Wentworth's character is awesome, I've already sent out for "I heart Michael Scofield" buttons ;)
It seems like the season is going to run from September to Decemeber (yay, no re-runs) and then "24" will take it's time slot in Januaray.
If you have bittorrent you can download an early copy of pilot (which airs on August 29th) from Torrent Spy (http://www.torrentspy.com).

Date: 2005-06-15 11:09 pm (UTC)I LURVED "Popular" but I didn't get to see the second season, or the end of the first! DAMN YOU CTV! Stupid Canadian station that was playing the show decided to stop showing it with a couple episodes of the first season left :( So I was party to Brooke/Sam hotness, but missed with Wentworth!
He's in a Mariah Carey video? Ugh.
Hee. Two of them even. He's like her new boy toy. He's also in her "We belong together" (or something equally cheesy) vid. This one is better than "It's like that" because he's in the whole thing. Still, with 'Prison Break' on the horizon I don't recommend watching either, soon there will be enough Wentworth to go around :)

No problem. Hope you enjoy, lemme know what you think of it! :)
