Reasons why D.E.B.S is GOLDEN

So with further delay ...



-Every expression that crossed Lucy's face while Nintchka's was talking over dinner.

- Ninotchka's "you are going to die alone" to Lucy, and Lucy's afronted face.

- Lucy's eye rolls (anywhere, anytime ... so many to choose from)

- Amy's geek jabbering about her thesis, and tucking her gun under her arm to make introductions before informing Lucy that she's still under arrest.

- Four words, "Son of a bitch!" and the 3 year old, stomp that followed.

- Scud's cute/frantic "Ohmygod who is it?!?!?!?"

- The montage of Lucy breaking into the D.E.B.S. compound to "Love Cats". Everything from her 'not amy, not amy, amy' PSP thing, to the duck under the forcefield, to the little hops and the suction cups. Pure genius.

- Lucy's "Jesus!" when Amy flips her off the bed when she breaks into her room. It's all Jordana's delivery. So brilliant!

- "Did you go to Dalton?"

- Lucy's cocky smirk over at Amy as Amy pouts beside her in the car.

- Amy's P.O'd glance at Janet when she says she has to use the bathroom outside of the club.

- Predator Lucy's stalk over to Amy when she spots her at the club.

- Janet's aghast "You too!" When Max says she can't stop thinking about Lucy Diamond. Too funny.

- The screaming girl running down the hallway after Amy's been promoted.

- Janet's mouthed "Perfect Whore".

- Everything about Max in the vault. "Trap." "This is bullshit." Megan Good rocked those lines.

- Lucy's heartbroken, "same bat time, or whatever" Awww. But then Amy's shoulder touch and the ensuing kiss, squeeeee!

- Basically anything that came out of Dominique's mouth, including but not limited to her "it is embrassing" at the stakeout, "it is madness to try" at Endgame, and her overshare with Max from the deleted scenes.

- The bra snap. Too cute. "I was trying to be smooth".

- Holland Taylor. "Luxuries like toilet paper, and diet coke will be but a distant memory to you."

- Lucy's dive out of the bedroom window, and the fact that the D.E.B.S. security really is "for shit."

- I flove Lucy's petulant "I thought you were different!" Once again, Brewster's delivery was just brilliant with that line.

- Jordana Brewster in general.

- Lucy's sad sack and consequent knee hugging on the couch after trying to destroy Australia again. Awww.

- Lucy in that red jacket over looking the hills, because ... um, pretty!

- The sacks with dollar signs on them, and the "Sorry" note attached to them!

- The whole 'crashing end game' planning session. "Tell her you love her? That's your plan?!? That's not a plan!"


And so much more ... like say,THE WHOLE FRAKKING MOVIE!

That one gets me too, everytime! Sara Foster was really hilarious in that scene. Anytime I hear someone say "son of a bitch" now, I think about D.E.B.S. and giggle. This movie has ruined that phrase for me now ... and I'd have it no other way :D

Lucy's "Jesus!" when Amy flips her off the bed - I love that line. I don't know why, considering it consists of a single word. But like you say, it's all in the delivery.

I agree with everything you've written. Especially Holland Taylor. She frightens me, but I love her.

I think we should basically find the screenplay somewhere and then post it under some sort of 'What we love about DEBS' heading. Cuz, let's face it, we just love everything about the movie.

LOL. I know what you mean. I had to actually pause the DVD after that part because we were laughing so hard. And I'm always on the edge of my seat waiting for it come when I watch the movie again. It just never gets old.

And you know..every other reason you listed. *swoon*

YAY!! I love DEBS to! I loved Scud's, 'now go knowck 'em dead... but not really!' I like Scud in general. Or that 'I saw you exchanging emails with Scud!' or when Janet and Scud were emailing eachother, and the 'awww' look she got on her face. YEEEEEEEEE! and I really like the 'Perfect whore' line too.

Everything you said I wholeheartedly agree with. But what about the Erasure song and dance routine? Oh my God... the other night I was teaching myself the dance moves at like, eleven-thirty at night. I am proud to say that I can now do more or less all of the Lucy Diamond dance from D.E.B.S. Took me bloody long enough... *grin*

I didn't mention the Erasure montage???? *flogs self* That is like one of my FAVORITE parts of the movie. Jordana is so silly and swoon-worthy in that section. Oh, never has singing into a pool cue been so sexy, lol.

You can do the Lucy Dance? Awesomeness and awesomosity :) Seriously, I read that, and now I'm seriously considering learning how to it myself. I already do that fist thing with her everytime it comes on, but learning the rest of the dance would be awesome. I just have to find a Scud stand-in ... and musically trained minions to help out :D

Well, it seems like I'll have to do another "my favorite things from DEBS" list to make up for that glaring omission!

*giggle* Indeed, the musically trained minions are essential. I've had to go without them, but they would really help.

My little six-year-old sister knows all the words to 'A Little Respect'. So does my mum. We were singing it in the car the other day.

My sister went to her school disco and she was doing the Lucy Diamond dance, AND singing. *wipes away a tear* I'm so proud. I've turned her into a little D.E.B.S. fan!

I dunno... Feature was ok, but the short was better imo *shrugs*
at least because I don't like Amy foster's mismatched eyeshadow
plus it was just all around more awesome - fit action, hurried amy/lucy lovin', and funnies all in just 7 min *nods*
