Um, cause I was bitter about the end of the Marissa/Alex relationship on The O.C. and decided to boycott the show after it (a boycott that was just broken because CTV started playing previews for Season 3, and I got interested again, dammit) today was the first time I saw the Season 2 finale.
And, the end, the song ... if you've seen it you know what I'm taking about.
Imogen Heap, "Hide and Seek" ... seriously beautiful song. I downloaded it after the little taste I got on the show, and ... It made me cry! Like full on eyes stinging with tears. Atia of the Julii totally would've mocked me from her carriage, 'tears! ugh'. I'm getting misty-eyed just thinking about it.
I am a huge loser I know, but I kind of want to marry this song and cuddle with it under a warm fleece blanket.

I feel so weak right now. I don't want to get sucked back in to the inevitable sucktatude that became the O.C. this season. And really with last seasons ending, I just can't see how this season is gonna be anything but overly dramatic, angst!Marissa heavy (which is NEVER good) doodie.
I'm just hoping the season opener will be so stupid my O.C. hate will come back in full force and give me strength. That or I could watch Alex's last episode and become so enraged with how they assassinated her character and gave the crappiest resolution ever to the Malex 'relationship'. *Heavy Sigh* Maybe I *will* be able to avoid that premiere ...

Olivia and Samaire deserve better! Especially Olivia since Alex got shafted, at least Anna had a fairly decent resolution to her storyline (or maybe I just feel that way, because when Anna left to go home, I didn't realize they were going to ship EVERY character they'd gotten bored of out of state).

I couldn't agree more. That song was the purest good thing about Season 2 of The O.C. (and I have to say 'purest' cause Alex was good, until she wasn't).
