So, I'm two weeks into the new, full-time, adult job and it's going well so far. Kind of overwhelming and panic inducing at times, but the co-workers are excellent, and I've managed not to screw up yet, so it's looking good. Still, I kinda miss being a student (mostly, the sleeping in and the option of whether to go to class or not, lol), but I'm digging the paychecks.

Still, free time and I have not been very close lately, and I likely to be on a break from each other for a while.

Still, I have time for some brief TV/Movie ramblings before bed...

-"Eulogy" is funnier every time I watch it, and Lucy/Judy's relationship even cuter. Upon other viewings I've noticed little touches like Famke absently stroking Preston's shoulder and thighs, and awwwww, they're so cute. Plus there's a billion other jokes, and comical facial expressions and hilarious lines that you catch after the first viewing.

-The O.C. I still kinda hate this show after the Alex/Marissa breakup. But Mischa Barton is acting again, and Marissa is acting like a decent human being and I'm remembering why I used to like Mischa. Julie Cooper still rules. And Jeri Ryan's character Charlotte was totally checking out Kirsten's ass. I'm digging the ho!yay between these two! Charlotte totally seems like she's hot for Kirsten's body. She's probably going to turn out to be a grifter or something, but I'm gonna suck up the flirting and ass gazing while I can, lol.

-"Threshold" kinda sucked, but I'm still going to watch another couple episodes because I'm Carla Guigino's bitch! Seriously, LOVE HER. Also, Rob Benedict is a draw because he was Gibson Kafka on Birds of Prey. And I'll watch most things with Birds of Prey alum (yes, even Evil Remain, and Unspeakable - which really was. But, no, not Virginia's Run - sorry Rachel).

-Lucy Lawless rocked the house as D'Anna Biers on BSG. I was nervous about her performance, but had no reason to be. She was lovely, and I totally loved hearing her natural kiwi accent. She looked good as a blonde (even though she was wearing too much yellow ... ye goods there was a lot of yellow), but she brought the snark, and the sexy, and the ho!yay!.

-"Rome" gets better and better every week, and I love Polly Walker more and more with every episode. So gorgeous, and lovely, and evil and deliciously campy. Every scene with Atia and Octavia golden.

-"The Exorcism of Emily Rose" is a really good, genuine creepy movie. The things Jennifer Carpenter does with her body are just FREAK.E. Seriously, I jumped and cringed and gasped more than a few times, and that rarely happens in movies.

-And finally, "Darkness" (2002) sucks! Do not rent this movie, ever, under any circumstances. You might think to yourself, "But Janine, it has Lena Olin in it, and nothing with Lena Olin can be bad!". This is what I thought my friend, and I was wrong, wrong, wrong. Lena looks great as always, but her character and every other character in the movie is a complete motard and completely unlikable. The movie itself is NOT scary at all, and it MAKES NO SENSE! I'm not taking plot holes here, I'm talking plot canyons, plot craters. This is seriously one of the worst, most frustrating and irrating movies I've even seen in my life (this is a serious statement considering I've seen and actually enjoyed "Ghosts of Mars"). Avoid it at all costs.

Alright, now I must away to bed ...

Ah, I actually managed to see the wedding clip with Skip's story.

Too bad about the deleted scenes not being able to make the cut. The first scene, I understand why it had to be cut, for the pacing and shock value of the Lucy character later on. But still, such a waste that such a sweet scene is cut ^^.

The second scene could've stayed though, too bad. Funny how the Debra Messing's character had more makeoutage than Lucy/Judy who are a couple. Again, I guess it's about the shock value effect, or something (that I don't understand, hehe).

Thanks for the description. Now I have to find me a dvd with those deleted scenes on it so I can see teh cute for myself.

Word. And what I thought was really nice about it was that it was really the only time we got to see Judy and Lucy interact on their own. Lucy looked so relaxed and sane, and they were so normal! It was really a nice contrast to how crazy the Collins' were, and how Judy had to deal with an insane version of her finance (e.g. when Lucy tried to grope her at the dinner table).

Funny how the Debra Messing's character had more makeoutage than Lucy/Judy who are a couple.

So true! I found that hilariously frustrating, lol. When get to see Glene Headly and Debra Winger half naked, but Lucy and Judy who are actually a couple don't do much more than hold hands. And you know, I saw Famke in her PJs in the movie, and really there's no way Lucy would've been able to keep her hands off of that! ;)

Now I have to find me a dvd with those deleted scenes on it so I can see teh cute for myself.

They're well worth it. Plus, you can watch the funny over and over again in glorious high def. Seriously, any movie where Famke utters the phrase "spend all night triple tonguing our g-spots" is something I want to own, lol!

Right, Debra Winger, not Messing. Messing is the one in Will and Grace *headdesks*
