The Inside - Ep. 11 "Point of Origin"

Dude! The Inside is LOVE. I heart this show so much, and these new unaired episodes that are now airing are killing me because they're SO GOOD! GAHHHHHHHH, I hate FOX (or should that be FUX) with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns for cancelling this show (not to mention about a dozen other ones that I loved ... Space Above and Beyond, Firefly, Wonderfalls, Dark Angel and Arrested Development just to name a few ... BASTARDS!)
Sigh, anyway Point of Origin was a brilliant episode, it was like the perfect mix of everything that I loved about the show (which is pretty much everything EXCEPT FOR PAUL! Asshat). It brought the funny (Mel and Danny were in fine form, they're so cute), Rebecca being all fucked up and because of that utterly fascinating and kick-ass, Web being the magnificent bastard that he is and mind fucking people left and right, and info on Rebecca's kidnapping! So incredibly good.
And with the reveal at the end of the show ... I cry, cry to think how good the rest of the season could have been.
*tear* Plus, I maintain there was much to ho!yay about this ep. First of all, Mel's ex was mentioned after a cute female office worker walked by and greeted her all sweetly. Secondly, no gender was mentioned for said ex (and it also inspired the genius line "not really an ex so much as a y, as in 'oh god why'). And thirdly there was the Rebecca and Mel walk of cuteness, where they were walking behind the guys all giggly and staring at each other before going into professional mode when they entered the briefing room.
Though I must say I felt the Mel/Danny love in this episode too, especially at the begginning when they were fighting like an old married couple.
Mel: [sarcastic] Glad you guys could make it.
Danny: [sigh] We don't live in the valley on purpose, Mel.
Mel tells Danny how Carter wants crime scene photos of the interior of the fire damaged building and waves the camera in his face wanting him to go in the building and take the pictures.
Danny: And ...
Mel: And I brought the wrong shoes.
Danny: These are Italian.
Mel: Look, I went last time ...
Danny: Is he suggesting that our fearless leader has an agenda?
Mel: Don't be silly. Webb doesn't have an agenda. Web is love.
Mel: [to asshat Paul about his obsession with Rebecca] Are you talking about your poor, defenseless, sparrow with the broken wing again?
Paul: I'm talking about Virgil Webster and his new little toy who he hasn't found all of the buttons to yet.
Danny: Are you sure you're not that one that wants to know where her buttons are?
Mel: *laugh*
If I wasn't such a die-hard femshipper I could totally get onboard the Mel/Danny train (I mean they would have such cute, incredibly funny children). But Me/Rebecca still remains my OTP :D

Mel and Danny are great together. Not as a couple, just as friends/coworkers who like and respect each other enough to totally comfortably bust each others' balls.

Mel and Danny are great together. Not as a couple, just as friends/coworkers who like and respect each other enough to totally comfortably bust each others' balls.
Word. They really play well off of each other and have such a cute relationship. Ep. 11 was awesome for Mel/Danny exchanges, there were way more than I mentioned above. I would totally watch a show starring those two. Both Finnernan and Baldwin have such good comic timing and delivery.
