Plus, Chase is totally attracted to power and the fact that she's jealous of Krista's prowess but also turned on by it has got to suck.

Yes, because giving in to her attraction would mean admitting Krista *has* power. And that's basically admitting Marcus was right in turning Krista instead of killing her outright, opening the door for Chase to be usurped as Marcus' favorite. And, yeah, that's totally gotta suck for Chase.
