Blade the Series - 1x10 - "Hunters"

Commentary is a little different tonight, it's kind of a blow by blow as I watch the show. Oooh, so much fun.

Krista, baby, doll, sweetie, crushing the vile in your hand ... hot. Throwing it against the wall so that little glass shards shatter everywhere ... painful. Someone's in for a rude awaking next time they take a shower and considering how much she loves sitting down in that luxurious shower stall ... well, I'm sure Chase would kiss her boo boo better.

Okay, I suspected that I'd love this episode when I saw Lauren Lee Smith's name in the credits, but my love was cemented when Krista did her most awesome vampire strut only for Blade to pop up and smack his bitch up. Seriously, I know that it shouldn't be funny, but Blade pimp slapping Krista was pretty effing hilarious.

"I've watched you for decades Chase" Oohhhh, she went there. Charlotte totally hearts (or wants to eat her heart) Chase. Note to self: Never go for tea at Charlotte's (but if I do, make sure to stick out my pinky while I drink babies blood like Chase does). Damn Charlotte's a freaky little kid. Also, does Emily Hurst look older to anyone? Kids, they grow up so fast.


"You better get to a doctor, you're bleeding" *punch* OMG, Blade! YOu just made me like you. "Go get some ice cream". OMG Blade, you just made me like you again! Also, team Blade seems to like to take out guy's junk. Krista last week with the crotch grab, and then Blade going straight for the testies. You guys fight dirty and that's always amusing to watch.

Krista asks: Why don't I have any friends?
Me: Because you try to eat them Krista.

I liked the Shen/Krista bonding, those two should have more scenes together. Though hopefully with less Krista trying to bite his ass in the future. Nice try though Krista, Jill Wagner would do well in a Texas Chainsaw Masacre type movie that calls for huddling in corners while dirty and crying yet totally sexy. She could continue the tradition other Blade alum Jessica Biel started.

"...probably a cat lover" "So let's go find Renfield and ask him where the Prince is" Oh Shen, I said I loved you but I lied ... cause this is more than love I feel inside. I think SuddenlyHot sister feels the same way. BTW, why is the sister suddenly hot? I love Bethany for thinking that Blade looks like a badass though, instead of being all "whatev" like everyone else in Detriot when he walks into a room.

Okay, the White Prince's minions are like the scariest thing I've seen on the show so far. Teeth pulling creeps me the hell out. And they're not fun creepy like Charlotte and her tea parties, they're like actual creepy which is *shudder*

Hey, in that club scene with Suddenly hot Bethany I think they reused Chase's brown wig. Also, those extras were some of the worse dancers I've ever seen. And Shen yeah you were MachoSexy with your beating up of the annoying chin ring guy (I really hate that Vancouver actor in like everything I've seen him in), but that was totally stupid. That was like Krista stupid man.

37 minutes in and Marcus free ... awesome! Oh man, as soon as I typed that the bastard showed up. Still Chase was there to balance it out. Who knew "At a tea party" could be so menacing.

Hey, Jill that's some awesome Jennifer Love Hewitt turning and looking up at the ceiling/sky hopelessly that you were doing. Too bad there was no screaming dramatically at nothing. Also apparently the Blade costuming people like to give their actresses proper support. Good for them bad ... bad for me.

Nooooooooooooo! Goddamn you Chase! Damn. You. I wanted a real betrayal not a fake one. This better be a double play. Chase seemed kind of cold with Marcus in that meeting so hopefully she's just trying to lull him into a false sense of security. Boo writers, I give you a hardcore BOO!

Daaaaaaamn. Shen is totally not a dude with whom to fuck. Love that Shen went there, on another show they totally would have had him just knock the guy out. That should be Blade the Series new motto "Blade the Series ... yeah, we went there!"

The White Prince kind of looks like that Diamond faced dude from Die Another Day. *Diversion: God you suck Halle Berry. Rosamund Pike was awesome as Miranda Frost though. Who in my mind was totally like Emma Frost's less successful sister.*

Ohhhh, EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew. I cannot believe they showed that. Damn Blade, you're hard core. But EWWWWWW. Should've known though, Blade the Series always goes there.

Krista's being emo ... it must be a Wednesday. And that sore by her mouth was totally nasty. Marcus totally gave Krista an STD.

Half a show of nothing but Krista and Chase loving would be *wanders off to a very good place* And from the previews it shows Chase pulling back so Krista obviously let's her kiss her until she's gotten her fill. And there's a promising "Hmm, I could get used to this" look on Krista's face as Chase pulls back.

Knowing the writers it's gonna turn out to be a sensuously menacing version of the mobster kiss of death or something, but hey it's a kiss. A lingering one.

I've recently become a Project Runway whore, so I can't yell at you for it. Cause I'm in Canada I have to wait til tomorrow to download it, or else I would've been catching the 11pm showing of Blade too :D

And yeah, Lauren Les Smith = quality entertainment. Anyone who can be on Mutant X and not suck has my respect forever, lol. (Don't be mad Vicky, you were mad hot as Shalimar which as far as Mutant X goes is just as good as being able to act).

What til you see the pimp slap in all it's glory. Really it's Krista look of surprise and how fast Blade takes her down that makes the scene. Krista's like "I'm growl, and walk all sexy and eat some bikers and *blah blam*" Comedy gold.

No, wait, the best part are the PREVIEWS WHICH I MUST DOWNLOAD IMMEDIATELY SO I CAN MAKE A BILLION ICONS OUT OF IT. It's like "plot stuff, action stuff, oh, and HOT LEZBO ACTION is the point of the episode." You ruin me, Blade. The slash is canon. It's TEXT. The sub has gone and left only text. What next? Will I tune in to Smallville to see Lex giving Clark a supportive massage? Will I see Dean and Sam tongue-kissing? Will Voyager start airing the lost scenes where Janeway smacked Seven's ass five times a week and twice on Sunday? AMERICA NEEDS TO KNOW!

LOL. Sticky was probably happy that he got a halfway decent line and was milking it for all that he was worth. Seriously, Blade had more good lines in this one episode than he's had all season. I like sassy Blade.

And I'm totally there with you on the preview iconage. The only thing is most downloads of shows don't include previews for the next week *sob* Maybe screen captures from the Spike TV page. Hmmm, yeah *note to self, check into that!*

Oh I would totally watch an episode that revolved around nothing but Krista and Chase gittin' it on vampire style, lol. And I totally love that the writers aren't wimping out with all of the fliration. I had hope we might see some KristaChase after Jessica Gower said Chase was flirting with Krista but I didn't think it would be so soon. Never so happy to be wrong. Nice to see a show fully embracing it's subtext.

Stupid vcr...why can't it keep track of time properly? I think I missed the last 4 minutes. I have to keep changing the time on it because for some odd reason it jumps 4 minutes ahead. Stupid, cheap hunk of crap *kicks it*.

OMG when Chase answered Marcus on where she had been, when she said "At a tea party" she sounded so much like Drusilla. Ever since I compared Marcus to Spike that's all I see him as now...And that's just wrong (yet another reason to dislike him, lol).

Shen is most definately not a guy to piss off. Finally he got some action and wasn't just the "side-kick-who-is-good-for-nothing-except-to-make-quips-so-the-lead-guy-looks-good".

OMG when Chase answered Marcus on where she had been, when she said "At a tea party" she sounded so much like Drusilla. Ever since I compared Marcus to Spike that's all I see him as now...And that's just wrong (yet another reason to dislike him, lol).

lol. It was just such an innocent thing to say but we knew that wasn't just any tea party. That was one of my favorite lines of the night, great delivery by Gower. Gower actually had a good night for that. Her "How DO you get so big?" to Lurch was pretty amusing as well.

And yeah, the Spike comparison just makes me wanna kick Marcus in the nuts like I'm Blade, lol. Although I do have some fond memories of Spike circ. Season 2 and even 4, whereas I've been apathetic towards Marcus since the pilot.

Finally he got some action and wasn't just the "side-kick-who-is-good-for-nothing-except-to-make-quips-so-the-lead-guy-looks-good".

Word. Nelson Lee rocked his fight scenes. Shen's fight scenes were awesome. I'll admit Sticky is getting better, but both Neil Jackson and Nelson Lee seemed to be able to kick convincing ass right out of the gate *shakes head at Sticky*

Didn't get a chance to comment last night when I read this - though OMG, I wanted to after reading that last bit. xDDDD Khase is CANNON!!! Okay, maybe not yet, but hot damn. Glee!

And I THOUGHT that girl looked familiar! *watched a bit of Mutant X at one point* Ha, yeah, and Shen kicked ASS. I loved his wisecracking already - plus, the fact that they actually have a sidekick who's good with computers - but muahaha, I love him twice as much now. Not only does he have great oneliners, but he has a little geeky / shy complex when he tries to clip the tracer on the sister's bra. xD AND he kicked serious ass. *drool* His whole "kick the crap out of the chain guy" bit was funny as hell. Am I the only one that was shouting at the TV "NO, Shen, it's not the dumbassed leech, it's the BAR TENDER GUY!!!"?

And Blade's bitch-slap to Krista rocked meh socks. I love the "You're hunting? So am I." Wham! xDDD *glee giggle* That and the way he just dumps her ass into the cell / detox room. AFTER carrying her in over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Missed the Shen / Krista conversation helping my poor comp-illiterate dad print something out, made me so mad. I wanted to see that. *nodnod*

Khase is CANNON!!! Okay, maybe not yet, but hot damn. Glee!

I noes! I'm so excited. And I know it's not gonna be a schmoopy kiss which is fine, cause they're VAMPIRES! But menacing, scared and longing I could totally go for (and with the way Chase was circling around Krista before the kiss I'll probably get it).

And I totally loved my Shen this episode. The Shen greatness started with his Mandarin talking hotness, and then just continued with wisecracking, ass kicking, cute awkward flirting, junkie Krista befriending, and did I mention ass kicking, lol.

And I must be slow like Shen because I did think that going over to K.Fed lite was stupid but not because I realized it was the bartender. I thought K.Fed was working with someone else and that they'd take the girl when Shen was distracted, which kinda happened, but yeah I overlooked the bartender so there's a little Shen in me I guess, lol.

This show is cornering the market on hilariously knocking people out and then having others carry them over their shoulders/dragging them along the ground like a sack of potatoes. Last week Chase, this week Krista, and both were highly amusing.

I knew I'd love Shen if he was ever given a chance to shine and I was right. Damn, he's a dangerous boy when someone threatens his damsel in distress, even if he does get attacked by a case of the stupids somewhere in the middle.

And Blade was actually interesting and funny. Wow, one day he might even be a leading man.

Chase and Charlotte are scary and scarier, and need to have more quality time together. I'm hoping they did a little of their own, anti-Marcus, plotting while they were sitting down to tea.

Is it the next episode yet? I want Khase kissage!
