Random note: I loved AsianCamper's hair. It was cool.

Finally we learn about the conclave. But Marcus said something about 1 down 5 to go, so he can't be talking about taking out all of the purebloods. He must be talking about just the Chthon Pureblood Council. So I still have no idea what his overall plan is. Does he want to take over the council? Because his coven in Detriot can't be all there is of Chthon vampires and I'm sure the other Chthonians would be none too please about Marcus gasing everyone and declaring himself King of the Douchebags Castle.

Man, where was that community center located? Mayberry ... or HappyShinyFantasyLand? Oh well, it didn't stay happy and shiny for long. Charlotte on the ceiling was some cool shit however. And the vampire masacre was tres creepy. Also, Charlotte is a total fucking bad-ass, what with the creating her own army of bodyguards out of the community center staff and all. Holy that's an evil little girl. PancakeMom was pretty hilarious too. "You dented my mini-van!" or maybe "Nobody said you could go for seconds!" I will also never get tired of seeing Charlotte crawl around like a little monkey girl all over everything. Awesome. Almost as good as Charlotte crying pretending to be a frightened little girl. For some reason Charlotte saying "Daddy" is creepy as hell.

Charlotte totally read Blade wrong though, she couldn't have been more wrong about him on the most wrongingest day of the year with an electrified wronging machine. R.I.P. Charlotte. I'll miss you. You were way scarier the MoneyBags has ever been.

The Krista/Marcus/Chase triangle is going strong and as effing boring as ever, but OMG! The ZoomInOfDeath on the locket Marcus gave Krista was the BEST! You could practically hear the 'knife stabbing' music to go along with Chase's glare.

Well, at least TPTB aren't shying away from showing Marcus as the bad guy anymore. I liked that they finally had Krista SEE him do something deliciously evil without blinking an eye. It's one thing to know intellectually that he's a bad guy, but after Marcus' 'pity me' visions of angst, I think it was necessary for her to see this side of him. The side of him that kills people just to make a point (it wasn't even to feed to survive, he was just being a bully). I think it's a good thing Marcus got his groove on before that little display because I don't think Krista would have wanted to play after it.

Also, who knew that dragging a mop could be so ominous.

R.I.P Collins ... Blade the Series went there again! Damn, man they kill off like two regular guest star. Boo, but then again that's what Blade the Series does ... it goes there.

Unless it's actually Khase kissage! BOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOO monu-fucking-mental BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Maybe Marcus is right to be so fucking arrogant because it seems like everything IS about him. Did I already say BOO! Effing misleading promos, they just stayed enemies with more inappropriate touching on Chase's part (though it is kind of amusing how Krista doesn't even react anymore. It's like "being fondled by Chase ... must be a week day).

Also totally not impressed by the fact that Chase was just a stoogie once again cleaning up Marcus' split milk and acting like a jealous housewife. Go eat the women on Westeria Lane, Chase! No more Desperate Housevampires over on Blade the Series, please! K, thanks.

Whatever, the promo for next week looked good but I'm fucking bitter right now. I'm actually gonna go do work for tomorrow *sticks tongue out at Blade the Series*

Spike TV just didn't go there this week, at least as far as Chase/Krista were concerned.

So uncharacteristic and even more disappointing because of that.

Also, how much more interesting would it have been if Charlotte was alive, somewhere, plotting to do depraved things to Marcus? The wee evil one should have been a show regular and secretly lured Chase over to her side for some much needed Marcus bashing and sexy cat fights with Krista.

It would have actually been interesting instead of this boring rehash of Blade the Movie that we're getting. I would much rather have seen Chase make a power play, and agree to sabatoge the aurora supply Marcus has rendering it ineffective, so that when the smug bastard set it off in the conclave nothing happened and the purebloods jumped him and literally riped him to shreds. Then as per their arrangement Chase became head of Chthon (she doesn't have to take anymore of anyone's shit). Then because I like Chase and don't want her to die, Krista not wanting to be part of the fight or undercover anymore could go to Leichen, and Chase could be brought in to try and lure her back (either because of feelings for her, or because Krista knows too much about Chthon's secrets) and they could end up forming an unholy alliance when Leichen turns out to be up to something sinister.

Anything but Deacon Frost, sorry, PoorMan'sDeaconFrost (aka Marcus) trying to kill the pureblood council and then having a sword fight with Blade in a big arena. I've seen this movie, BLADE WINS! (pass it on!)

And HA! I'm not the only one who thinks it's a Blade movie rehash. I swear to gawd, the promo came on and it was like "hell no." I mean, come on! It looks like they took the stone crypt set from the end of the first Blade movie, slapped up some blue-ish lighting, and threw Marcus in there instead of Frost. Who, by the way, was COMPLETELY a better villian, even though Marcus' background sounds cooler on paper. I mean, he got Blade's MOTHER to screw with him, attacked Blade in his own home and 'killed' Whistler, and even yanked that one guy's fangs out before toasting him in sunlight and PRESENTED THEM TO THE COUNCIL! What's Marcus done? Fucked up for a hundred years, lost / injured most of his best people to Blade, pissed off Chase and Krista BOTH, stuck a tomahawk through Damick's forehead, and screwed up blowing up Charolette. His "big moves" were killing Zach and snapping builder-boy's neck. WTF?!?

That would have been mint. I can see the arrogant, scary as hell smirk on Charlotte's face already, and you know Chase would be there looming over Charlotte with this twisted but satisfied slight smile that said "that's for fucking with me you complete ass prick!".

So true. I mean you can't even compare Marcus and Frost because Frost kicked so much ass. And the thing is that Frost screwed with BLADE'S head. The Frost and Blade were actual enemies, Blade had an emotional stake in everything, Frost turned his mother, Frost was then literally a mother-fucker, Frost had his mother hit on him for love of pete. It was all about Blade, and Frost was his totally bad-ass nemisis. Blade the Series is all about Krista, Marcus and even Chase, and Blade is just reacting to everything and has no emotional connection. It's Krista's brother that Marcus killed, not Blade's mentor, it's Krista mother and uncle that died because of Marcus' interference in her life, not Blade's family or friends. Blade's just an observer and that's just wrong.

No kidding! I mean, they had the whole dramatic revelation in the pilot that Zach worked for Blade - which yeah, I was expecting, but hey, it made sense - and then NOTHING!! No mention of what Zach might have been working on, no real mention of him again. It was like "oh, look, we had a convenient plot-point to put the two of them together, now we don't need to bring him up or have him impact much of anything anymore." *rolls eyes*

And seriously, pretty much all three movies were better than the series when it comes to enemies. Let's see, we have Frost (scary-assed bastard) in #1, the psycho genetics-manipulating council-guy from #2 (who not only created the uber-vamp but nearly killed Blade), and the psycho vamps that stormed the headquarters in #3. I mean, come on, they killed everybody but Sommerfield, tied her up and left her to turn as a message for Blade, snatched the little girl and tortured King. Marcus sucks, Karcus sucks - it would suck even if I couldn't see Krista and Chase together - and the series is called BLADE. *grumble*

I know. Zach turned out to be such a fucking plot device. I can't believe that Krista at least hasn't mentioned him or even seemed to remember him. What I wouldn't have given for a line like "You kill my brother, throw me off a rooftop and all I get is a quicky during lunch?" or something snarky like that with an undercurrent of real venom to show that while she's sleeping with him it's hate!sex not making love.

I can't believe that during the detox Blade didn't even bring up Zach as a part of a "remember why you're there" speech. I mean he could have busted out police pictures of Zach's dead body and shown it to her. They could've even repeated his lines to Abby in Trinity "Use it! Use it!" to get her to focus on her hate instead of her bloodlust.

And seriously, pretty much all three movies were better than the series when it comes to enemies.

So true. Deacon and Lomac were badass. And I loved coked out Danica Talos and her band of misfit vamps. They were fun. I don't know that they're plans were any better than Marcus', but at least they were interesting to watch and genuinely creepy at times. Like imagine if Marcus had a shed full of human feeding bags instead of vampire ones. How would Krista have liked to see that? What if architect man had a child and Marcus threatened to turn him, starve him and then feed him is daughter, would Krista still have loved her shiny locket then? Marcus just sucks as a villian because they're trying to make him palpable as a leading man, and failing at making him both.

And word to the series being called BLADE. Maybe they should actually make Blade the center of the action and have everyone else react to him and his actions.

But that would mean admitting Krista doesn't think Marcus is anything but the bee's knees and we just can't have that, now can we. It's one thing to lay down the notion that a turned vamp are incapable of killing their sire, eg Chase and Frederick, but then they go and retcon the whole idea (within the same friggin season) by having Krista be all in love and crap.

I don't wanna use the 'Jump the Shark' phrase but Angels & Demons is turning more and more into the Worst Episode yet. Mainly because it's the ep where everything afterward turned to shit. Okay, maybe not everything 'cuz I still do love the show, honest. But, an entire episode devoted to Marcus's manpain and yet, all it took to tell us everything we needed to know about Chase was a 2-minute speech in an Alcoholics Anonymous. Seems like someone needs a refresher course on 'show don't tell'.
