fembuckMoviehole reports that Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Fast and the Furious) has been cast in ABC's "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" pilot. She'll take over the role made famous by Angelina Jolie in the feature, which co-starred Brad Pitt.
The site adds that the pilot picks up six months after the end of the film and follows our typical suburban married couple - who just happen to be undercover assassins on the side – as they struggle to keep the spark in their marriage going, even as they try to save the world.
The project is being targeted for a fall 2007 premiere. Doug Liman and Simon Kinberg are reprising their roles as director and writer, respectively. Liman, Kinberg and Dave Bartis will executive produce.
Filming is expected to start in March

How do you replace the smokin' hotness of Angelina Jolie? With the inferno of hotness Jordana Brewster! This may be sacriledge but I think Jordana will make a even more smokin' Mrs. Smith. Now if they cast Steven Strait as Mr. Smith I don't think I would be able to make it through an episode of this show without swooning (you know 4 or 5 times).
Jordana on my screen every week (hopefully, if the show doesn't suck), so ... *tear* beautiful...
