hot vampire chick action for 2007

So, I've been feeling the loss of Blade the Series accutely lately *curses the heavens* And while news of this movie does not at all take away the sting, it makes it a little better, kind of like a glass of sherry after a really crappy day.

The movie is Rise which stars Lucy Liu as a reporter, Sadie Blake, wakes up in a morgue to find herself a member of the undead and vows to seek revenge against the sect that put her there and hunts them down. While Carla Gugino plays a vampire femme fatale named Eve who is dark, sexual and plays a role in initiating Sadie into the world of vampirism (covered in blood, naked and with her tongue - no I'm not joking).

teh_no had a very nice clip from youtube of some blood play action between Gugino and Liu (see naked with tongue comment above) but the studios are quick these days and have already taken it down (boo hiss). It was pretty hot though (and in a Khase way ... awww, this movie goes where Blade the Series would have gone if SpikeTV wasn't such a punk-ass bitch)



The release date is slated as June 1st, 2007. *le sigh* The trailer for this movie cannot come soon enough ;)

*sigh* Hopefully Carla Gugino is right and the movie will be released soon though, because now that I know it is in existence I MUST see it!

This is such fantastic news! I love Lucy Liu but I NEVER would of thought she'd do a vamp movie... I just really really hoped she would... you know, like, if she had some spare time... and was really bored... and wanted to be seduced by a foxy naked lady covered in blood... (who wouldn't?)
