Vampire movies are awesome! "Perfect Creature"

Plot: Set during the 1960s in an alternate New Zealand known as Nuovo Zelandia, PERFECT CREATURE imagines a world where vampires and humans peacefully co-exist, with the bloodsuckers as the next step in human evolution. This delicate balance looks to be destroyed when an influenza epidemic begins to sweep the human population and one vampire turns to preying on humans. The church sends out Silus (Dougray Scott) to catch the renegade vampire, Edgar. Silus joins forces with a human police captain (Saffron Burrows), and discovers that Edgar harbors dark secrets.

So, yeah, I pretty much need to see this as soon as humanly possibly.

Also, Saffron Burrows is the still the most awesome bi actress ever (don't look at me like that Kristanna! Saffron is taller than you, British and is dating a woman!)

Looks good - so that's at least two vampire movies winging their way towards us, not bad, although it would have been nice if this one also had a big dose of femslashy potential - and Saffron Burrows is taller? Wow. And yeah, the dating a woman part really does help tip her over into top spot. So I guess there's only one thing Kristanna can do to put her in line for the coverted best-bi-actress trophy *g*.

Yeah, between this and Daybreak it's been a pretty good week for vampire news. I'm hoping that Burrows manages to bring at least the hint of femslash to Perfect Creature, and hopefully some female cast member in Daybreak is slashy as well.

I know, hard to imagine but true. She's 6 feet, which puts her an inch above Loken.

So I guess there's only one thing Kristanna can do to put her in line for the coverted best-bi-actress trophy *g*.

I'm so glad you posted this. I haven't thought about vampires in about 10 minutes which is way too long to not think about vampires.

She's dating Fiona Shaw. I don't think that they've ever done a "we're here, we're doing each other" interview or anything like that, but they've been living together for a while, neither have been linked to anyone else, no one has issued denials, and all I've read on them lately have stated it as a definitive fact.
