Heroes to get even sexier! Awesome

Dania Ramirez, who played Callisto in X-Men: The Last Stand and has a recurring role on "The Sopranos," has been added as a regular on the NBC's hit series "Heroes." The show returns for a second season in the fall.

Ramirez will play Maya, a new hero whose powers are being kept under wraps.

"Heroes" extends Ramirez's relationship with NBC. This past development season, she co-starred in the network's drama pilot "Fort Pit."

Maya is one of four to five new characters expected to be added to "Heroes" next season, but her character might be the only regular one. The other roles, most of which are said to have international flavor, include a sexy boyfriend for Claire (Hayden Panettiere), a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Niki's (Ali Larter) son and an Irish mobster.



Dania Ramirez ... so pretty! I really liked her as Callisto in X3, and was pissed when she bit it, so it'll be awesome to see her playing another mutant special metahuman um, hero (what are the people with abilities called on this show anyway?)

If Ramirez is playing a character that is totally badass like Callisto, Larter is going to have some competition for thumpingist female cast member!

Whatever. I'm already slashing Claire with the new gay cheerleader, April. So you can shove your 'sexy boyfriend for Claire' in a sock, mister!

Gay cheerleader? I'm out of the loop. I cannot WAIT to see that, but knowing them they'll screw it up hehehe. The surrogate confuses/scares me too. Interesting to watch.

Yeppers. Press on this character just started popping up this week. Not much is known other than her name is April, she's gay and a cheerleader. I'll be interested in the casting on this.

Hmmmmm - maybe Jessica takes over someone, and that person takes Mica? Or Mica transfers his consciousness into someone else? Hey, if Jess does take over someone, there's more possible Niki / Jess - they aren't my favorite pair, but a lot of other people seem to like 'em.

I like the idea of Jessica taking over someone else, but I couldn't see her taking Micah away from Niki. Niki and Jessica seemed to be getting along pretty well at the end of the season, so I don't think Jessica would do that to her. It could be a "Micah has two mommies" type of deal though, which would be cool ... and gay!

I have to admit this is why I'm totally on board with the idea of Jessica possessing someone else. I love my Nessica, but it's hard writing for people in the same body.
